It's hard to choose what bowl place one is feeling when surrounded by so many bowl places, but this one will not do you wrong. Tips: Get ask how much dressing you want. There's a whole complex there that all has the same vibe. Big, bright, spacious, huge windows. It's a good vibe. Service was excellent. I like a good bowl place, and I like it even better when they have pre-made, curated bowls for me to choose from. I never do substitutes. I'm not messing with a good thing. One thing I do like, though, is that they ask you if you would like a light, normal, or heavy amount of dressing on your salad. Spoilers, always ask for heavy. The salad itself was nice. Plenty of different greens and veggies and a few crunchy things in there. I had a lovely experience at Just Salad. The place was super clean and pretty--everything was simple yet well organized. I didn't even see one piece of trash inside, which really impressed me. I ordered the Thai chicken salad with pita chips, plus cocoa-covered almonds and a pineapple lemonade. The Thai chicken salad was filling enough for lunch, and I was very happy with it. I also appreciated that they show the calorie count for each menu item, which is great if you care about your diet and want to take time to choose. The pineapple lemonade tasted very natural, which I really loved. I didn't taste any artificial flavors at all, and that made me happy! Another reason I'd recommend this place: they use bamboo straws instead of typical paper ones. Paper straws melt so quickly, so this was a thoughtful and eco-friendly touch. This was absolutely terrible all around. My husband and I ordered two salads and smoothies and it was almost $50 for the most mediocre salad I've ever had in my life. It was nothing more than a gas station salad. The lady who took our order was incredibly unhelpful too. My smoothie spilled, which was totally my fault, and I wanted to clean it up but they didn't have any napkins out. So I went up to ask for napkins and she ignored me for 10 minutes. It's not like she was helping another guest, she just wouldn't acknowledge me. When I told her I spilled my smoothie and needed napkins to clean to up, she gave me a single napkin. What was I supposed to do with that. I didn't appreciate any part of this business' service or food. read more

This was my first time at a Just Salad and I had a very mixed experience. I was a little overwhelmed when I walked in. They have bowls, salads, wraps, sandwiches and more. They have a menu you can choose from or you can build your own. It's similar to cava, chipotle, etc, but it's a little more overwhelming because they have so many options. I decided to make my own salad. For my base, they allowed me to mix two kinds of lettuce, which I appreciated. As I began making my salad, that's where it went downhill. You only get four add ons, but I wanted olives, which even though they are part of the add on section, you have to pay extra. I moved to the extras section, all of which costs additional money. This includes things like cheese, avocados, etc. I then moved to protein, which surprise, surprise, costs extra. I needed protein so I got chicken, despite all of the protein looking cold and like it had been sitting there. They also have a very limited drink selection. They have two types of lemonade, water and then a very small selection of "healthy" alternative canned sodas. They don't have a soda machine. They also don't have lids or straws and if you want ice in your drink, the staff has to put ice in your cup. They also don't have napkins on the table and you have to ask the staff for them. The woman that made my salad was really nice and she let me try the dressing. However, she was the only one on the floor and it took my friend 10 minutes to be helped. I had made it through the line, sat down, got a drink and waited before she was even helped. Suddenly, four team members came out from the back, and it was as if they were all just hanging out in the back. The salad itself was good and the portion was big, but because of all the extra costs, it was $20, which was ridiculous. The salad also comes with a small piece of bread (at no extra cost), but it was stale and hard. Overall, I recommend going to a place like Cava where you can get unlimited toppings. I've also never been to a "bowl" place where you have to pay extra for protein unless you want a double serving. This place felt like a total cash grab and I will not be going back. read more

So we originally went here because I was planning on doing their Yelp Elite food promotion. Unfortunately, I mis-read the date and ended up going a day later (and bringing 2 family members with me). However, since I was dedicated to the cause, we all ordered something. First, I highly recommend getting a menu item thing. Mostly because doing your food a la carte can get you a pricey salad that you're not expecting. Also, don't expect any fountain drinks - unless you want their lemonade (or canned natural sodas or pre/probiotic ones - can't remember which they had). I will say, the food we got was filling and tasty. The downside is, we probably wouldn't come back here, because as filling, "healthy" as they were, we're not going to be paying the prices for lettuce or grains as the bulk of the food. That's not to say that this place doesn't have their niche, it's just not what we are looking for. Location was clean, airy, and open. Some seating inside and out. We've got a new stop in what I refer to as "the healthy area" of Oviedo! Not only is there Cava and Bolay, but now Just Salad! And the great news is the don't have *just* salads. You can choose from several of their already configured meals, and order them as platters, bowls, wraps, or salads. If you want to do your own thing, you can also just come down the line, requesting the add-ons you like. The menu can be a little overwhelming for first-timers, but who doesn't love options? If you're someone who can be a little indecisive, browse the menu before coming. They also have an app you can use to browse and earn loyalty points towards rewards. It's a fantastic place to eat healthy and well. My only wish is they had fountain drinks instead of cans. The interior is lovely and the food line is super clean, fresh, and enticing. There is not a ton of seating, so eating in might be tricky during busier times. I'm really looking forward to eating here more often. Try it out! read more

I like that the chicken was cut in front of me as opposed from being scooped for a bowl. They also have a reusable bowl available for purchase to help our environment which I found very ethical inconvenient! (it also comes with extra reward points when you bring it in on your next meal) I ordered the cilantro lime chicken bowl, which is one of their hot bowls. This meal was absolutely delicious, I ended up exchanging the spicy pita for some cherry tomatoes. My family and I couldn't get enough. We found our self going back the very next day to enjoy yet another meal from just salad! They offered two types of lemonade, pineapple, or strawberry, and both are equally refreshing and delicious! They also have a wide selection of grabbing go bottle or canned drinks at the counter. I was really looking forward to checking this place out. We finally had a chance to get in there and I was a bit underwhelmed. The location is on the corder of Mitchell Hammock & Central Blvd. The location is decent and close to my home. The salad was enjoyable, but to be honest you have to order one of their pre-done specials, otherwise if you build your own the cost gets ridiculous. There are a few options to make your own salad, but TBH, the selection was not massive. The staff was friendly enough, but perhaps the most disappointing part of the place was the environment. They're were see real tables put in the large open area in a odd formation, and the noise level was excessive due to the high ceilings and lack of any way to manage the sound (panels etc) Honestly, it felt like I was in a glorified cafeteria. Again, the food was good enough (the only thing that earned it stars) , but the rest of the experience was a huge detractor......I really wanted to love this place, but couldn't. read more

I felt welcome to this healthy, pleasant restaurant. The lunch and dinner options sounded good and looked appealing. I was pleased to taste a couple of the homemade dressings after choosing a chilled salad for dinner. My guest decided on the same salad, but the 2 sample dressings caused me to select the spicier dressing for his and the milder one for me. The same person completed both servings in separate large bowls of fresh, generous portions. The resulting salads looked like too much to devour in a single meal, but both of us finished every bite. Available herbs for additional flavor would probably have enhanced the regular salad ingredients. I shared my chocolate chunk cookie and 2 different flavors of lemonade--pineapple and strawberry. It was a good a fresh cookie with adequate chocolate and not overly sweet, but bigger would have been better for sharing. Strawberry won the lemonade taste test for each of us, because its strawberry flavor was stronger, though the pineapple offered a more unique combination. Having a closer location to Apopka would be an advantage to provide options for trying something hot and sharing something different, such as a wrap. read more

This is my third visit to this location in Oviedo and I just love it! The food is fresh, made to order and is amazing! The location is perfect (took over where Burger Fi was) and the staff aims to please! Great service and ambiance! I will definitely return. The honey crispy chicken is the best ever. Today I tried the Thai Chicken salad and it was phenomenal. Their dressing is homemade and to die for in my opinion! Wraps are huge and hold up extremely well, as I didn't eat the other half until a day later. I also like their pick 2 deals! Great food at a reasonable price. I had been waiting for this location to open and overall the experience went well! I'm glad there were only about 4 other small parties in the space at that time because it was kind of hard to read the room. Granted they JUST opened so I'm sure that will iron itself out like where to place/pick up your order. Once I figured that out an attendant directed me to follow along the line, for some reason I thought my part was done after ordering and began to wander off. What a great, quality addition to Oviedo. I created my own bowl, and it was so tasty that it did not need dressing. That being said, I do think the incidental add on's are way too pricey. After reading the rave reviews, two of us decided to give it a try...ordered the thai basil chicken salad (lettuce, chicken, tomatoes, corn, avocado, etc) and was grossly disappointed. The lettuce was wilted and brown, thumbnail sized avocado pieces were brown, soggy cherry tomatoes, and the ratio of other than lettuce items to lettuce was about 50:1.
