Prices aren't as bad as I thought they would be and all of the proteins were way better than I expected! The steak was pretty juicy and the way that it's pink inside makes me believe it's pretty fresh. The bbq chicken is super juicy. And the almond chicken, while looking pretty dry was actually so good. Let me start by saying I really do like Fresh Kitchen. They have quality, healthy food offerings that taste so good when loaded together into a bowl. On my most recent visit I had a $25 gift card so I really went to town when making my selections. I got a six bowl with lots of add-ons and ended of using all but 50 cents of my gift card. I would never spend that much for one bowl otherwise. My bowl consisted of: Bases- cauliflower potato mash & kale Caesar with extra side of sweet potato noodles Veggies- basil mushrooms & golden spice chickpeas (which are delicious) Proteins- roasted salmon (for additional charge) & blackened chicken (b/c the steak was almost gone at the time) Sauce- coconut sriracha Add-ons- feta cheese & kale pesto tomatoes I'm sure everything would have been great had I visited earlier in the day. I arrived around 4:30, which I wouldn't recommend doing. Certain items seemed as though they had been sitting there all day. The chicken was a bit hard and dry while the mushrooms looked shriveled up and were a bit chewy. I certainly ate all of my bowl, but those elements were lacking freshness. Took my order to go, but the interior appears bright and clean with helpful staff. Next time I'll just choose a better time of day. read more

If I could, I would eat here every single day. The sweet potato noodles blew me away. I was hesitant because I thought they would be too starchy or too sweet but the consistency is perfect and the taste amazing. The mushrooms are also cooked to perfection. I received a coupon for a free bowl during a UCF event. They have a great variety of protein, veggies, sauces, and toppings. The six bowl comes with two bases, two proteins, two veggies, and one sauce. I got cauliflower rice, kale slaw, mushrooms, spicy chickpeas, blackened chicken, and curry chicken. The portion was large enough to split between my husband and I for lunch. This would have been a good value for two people. The menu price is about $14 so for one person it's a little high for a counter service restaurant. Also, the music was so loud I could hardly hear the workers when I had questions about what different items were. The food was tasty and fresh. Fresh kitchen? I used to love this place in Waterford, but lately their food, service, and readiness to serve is just not there. We have noticed a steep decline in their food. For example, their spicy cauliflower rice was so salty I could not eat it. Their food line runs out of food with a steady flow of costumers and the kitchen is just not ready or able to keep up. In the past, we have ended up waiting a long time for a portion of chicken or green beans, sometimes two or more items. Today it wasn't the exception. They don't have a system to flag your order so the servers down the line end up asking you 2 and 3 times what is it that you're waiting for. We took the order to go so unfortunately we're unable to give them an opportunity to rectify the salty side which happened to be in both our orders and in my bowl, doubled. Oh well... Fresh Kitchen is a counter service restaurant they offer gluten free, vegetarian sugar free food. Their ambiance is bright, loud and some service employees are friendly and welcoming. Where have I been that it's taken me so long to dine here?? A friend of mine recommended this spot since they offer fresh ingredients and even fresh juices. For me the overall experience was 3. Whoever designed seating was really pushing it in terms of how close together the booths/high tops are. There were several occasions where people almost knocked over our drinks on the table just trying to walk by. It was annoying having to brace yourself every time somebody walked by. The food overall was good but I wasn't a big fan of how the toppings at the end were extra, even the pico de gallo so if you did your bowl straight up with out any of the extras it would literally just be 4 /6 items depending on which bowl you chose. I get that some extras are pricey like the guac, but tomatoes? A sprinkling of cheese? They make these all natural cookies which were bomb. I actually enjoyed those more than the meal itself. Service was friendly. They were patient with me especially when I explained it was my first time dining there. Their juices are great, and specifically I mean the fountain juices. I had a coupon for a free bowl after attending a food event. I went on a Friday evening and there was a small line. I had a 6 bowl with BBQ chicken, blackened chicken, broccoli, mushroom, and guacamole on top of spiced rice. It was prepared and made on the counter when you ordered. I also took a can of carbonated watermelon flavored water (2 dollars). I checked out, gave my coupon and cash, then went to a booth. The chicken was mostly tender. The BBQ chicken had a nice smoky flavor and had the right amount of BBQ sauce. The blackened chicken was well seasoned and wasn't spicy. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and still had some crunchiness. Plus, I think they had lemon and other light seasonings to give it a very delicious flavor. It was one of my favorites from the ingredients. The mushrooms were plump and the guacamole was great too. The Sriracha sauce added a nice kick. It was indeed fresh, healthy, and delicious! Not to mention the portions were generous as I felt very full after eating the whole thing. The watermen carbonated water was a bit expensive for two dollars, but at least it was better than the LaCronx brand. If I had to pay for the bowl, I think it would have easily been about 15 dollars. Service was friendly and very helpful. I was mentioned many times that my coupon included everything, even though I thought it was only for the 6 bowl. The seating area is a bit small, but it was clean. There were some booths and high tops, plus outdoor seating too. The vibe was nice with some cool instrumental music in the background. I must say that eating healthy doesn't mean having boring and bland food. Fresh kitchen knows how to make some healthy and delicious food. It is pricey, but unfortunately most healthy and fresh food restaurants are. But if you are able to splurge a bit, this is a great "good for you" restaurant in the Waterford lakes area . read more

I opted for the upcharge of salmon which is SO worth it and so delicious, grilled to the perfect temperature. I also added another extra of cucumber salad which was tangy and refreshing, perfect as I was feeling dehydrated. I also ordered their fresh kitchen brand beet juice, which had the perfect amount of sweetness with the apple juice in it.
