When I noticed my dog Ruby acting strangely while eating and spitting out her food, I checked her…read moremouth and was surprised to find what appeared to be a fracture on one of her large back teeth. I immediately emailed the clinic with a few photos, and within 20 minutes I had both an email response and a phone call (just in case I missed the email), along with an appointment confirmed for 8am the very next morning with enough time reserved to perform an extraction if needed. The responsiveness alone was impressive. At drop-off, the surgery technician, Jorge, was incredible. He was knowledgeable, personable, and immediately put us at ease, especially since this was Ruby's first surgery requiring anesthesia. During our conversation and bringing up a certain topic, he mentioned he recently attended a dental conference which reassured us that the team is committed to continuing education and staying current with best practices. Dr. Gertz, whom Ruby has seen previously for routine care, was wonderful as always. She performed the initial exam, confirmed that the tooth appeared fractured, and explained that the team would call with a definitive diagnosis once dental X-rays had been completed. The treatment plan was straightforward - anesthesia, dental X-rays, bloodwork to ensure levels were appropriate before surgery, and a cleaning with extraction if necessary. A few hours after drop-off, we received a call confirming that the tooth was indeed fractured, although surprisingly still alive. Dr. Luna took the time to thoroughly explain the findings and our options. At no point did we feel pressured. She clearly outlined the pros and cons of proceeding versus monitoring the tooth and explained that leaving it untreated would likely lead to problems in the future. After discussing everything, we decided to move forward with the extraction since she was already under anesthesia. No more than a few minutes later, the team called again because they realized the cost of the updated treatment plan had not been reviewed. I actually hadn't noticed because I already trusted that the recommendation was medically appropriate and that the pricing would be fair (which it was). Still, I appreciated their transparency and professionalism in making sure every detail was discussed before proceeding. When we picked Ruby up around 2:00pm, Jorge spent considerable time reviewing her full-mouth dental X-rays with us and explaining exactly why the extraction was recommended. It was fascinating to learn more about canine dentistry, and we left feeling far more informed than when we arrived. He answered all of our questions patiently and thoroughly (even the ones that were already covered in the aftercare packet we had just been handed!). We also were given a full sized sample of a recommended oral rinse for regular maintenance. Ruby recovered exceptionally well from the surgery, which was a huge relief. She had previously undergone sedation prior to X-rays at another clinic years ago and did not have a great experience, so we were naturally nervous. This time, her recovery was smooth, the extraction site is healing beautifully, and she came home comfortable with appropriate pain medication. She has shown no signs of discomfort throughout the recovery process. I also want to recognize Lauren at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the process. She worked with us to ensure detailed notes were included in Ruby's chart to help prevent potential insurance issues and even went a step further by following up with the doctor after we left to request additional documentation that could support a smoother claims process. That level of attention and advocacy is rare and deeply appreciated. Overall, this was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We even received a call a few days after her surgery to simply check in on her recovery. From the front office staff to the technicians and veterinarians, every person we interacted with was compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in Ruby's well-being. The communication was outstanding, the care was exceptional, and we never once felt rushed or pressured. Ruby is family to us, and the trust we place in those caring for her is not something we take lightly. We are incredibly grateful for the entire team and feel completely confident entrusting them with the health and care of both of our dogs. Bonus: they were giving out adorable supergirl bandanas they received as promo material!

SoCal Vet quoted me 1/3 of the price of other Vets in my area- about $700 for a 20lb doggy with poor dental. The price included blood work, x-rays, anesthesia, meds, AND extractions. My pug needed quite a few teefs removed. They clipped her nails free of charge. The Gentlemen (forgive me, I forgot his name) who went over x-rays and cleaned her teeth is great at what he does! I have since taken her back for a dental check, and brought my other pug. Both were sedated and received the full dental treatment. The price has remained the same for each! Dr and Staff are sweet; they are busy, but very kind. Def recommend them.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience because I left feeling…read morefrustrated, confused, and unheard. I brought my French Bulldog, Otis, to urgent care because he had been experiencing decreased activity, weakness, and changes in behavior that were concerning to me. Upon arrival, he was panting heavily. As a French Bulldog owner, I understand that panting can be alarming, but Otis frequently becomes worked up in the car, during travel, and in unfamiliar environments, especially during extreme heat. Before my pet's history was fully discussed or I was even checked in, staff immediately focused on the panting and began discussing sedation and emergency concerns. I was initially told about a medication costing approximately $600. Later, the veterinarian explained a different medication was needed so he could examine Otis, and I agreed to those charges. After Otis was taken to the treatment area, I waited for updates. Instead of receiving information about his condition, I was approached multiple times regarding financing options and credit applications. At that point, I still had not received any explanation of what the veterinarian had found, what his physical examination showed, or what the next steps would be. Eventually I was presented with an estimate of approximately $2,000. When I asked what had been found on examination and whether the veterinarian would discuss his assessment with me, I was told that nothing could be determined without additional laboratory work and X-rays. I specifically asked if the veterinarian would return to explain his clinical impressions or provide any guidance regarding the symptoms that brought me in, and I was told no. What disappointed me most was not the estimate itself. Veterinary medicine is expensive, and diagnostic testing has value. My concern is that I left without any meaningful discussion of the problem I brought Otis in for. The visit became entirely focused on diagnostics and financing before I ever received an explanation of what the veterinarian thought might be going on. As a pet owner, I understand that a diagnosis cannot always be made without testing. However, I believe clients deserve clear communication, a discussion of examination findings, and an opportunity to understand the veterinarian's concerns before being asked to make major financial decisions. I left feeling like the primary focus was obtaining approval for diagnostics rather than helping me understand my dog's condition. After spending nearly $300, I still did not have answers regarding the symptoms that prompted the visit in the first place. I hope this feedback helps improve communication with future clients, particularly those who are scared, trying to do the right thing for their pets, and working within real financial limitations.

Definitely one of the hardest reviews I've ever had to write but also an easy 5 stars to this…read moreurgent care and their staff. Yes, the building is nice, modern and clean but what really makes this place amazing is the staff that work here. I'll forever be grateful for the support and compassion they showed me during one of my hardest moments in life. Rewind: I'm actually not a local and was traveling here from out of town. I was staying in the desert for a few weeks so I brought my dog and cat down with me. In the most stressful of scenarios (traveling and being on vacation) my 13-year old cat fell ill almost immediately after we got into town. After a few days of her seeming not like herself and not eating, I brought her here to the urgent care. A few hundred dollars later and testing it was confirmed that my little one was dying (This wasn't a complete shock as she had been diagnosed with kidney disease a year before with a prognosis of only a few weeks to months to live.) You just never expect to be away from home when something like this happens.... The biggest blessing was that the doctor and techs encouraged me that I could take her home to have a couple more days to process the decision of putting her down/to see if there could be any improvements (even though it wasn't likely.) Having those extra couple days to say goodbye made the process so much more bearable and assured me that I wasn't making a rash decision... when you see your pet declining you know when it's time. I was just really grateful for how the team was so compassionate and flexible with me as I made this decision. While they were all professional, they felt like friends when I needed them most. Bringing my baby back to be euthanized on a holiday weekend was traumatic, but the team handled everything with grace and compassion. They have a special room where you get to say goodbye to your baby and it is very tranquil and lovely overall when dealing with such a tragedy. At the very minimum you would hope for a safe space when enduring something so difficult and they definitely created that....Again the team couldn't have been lovelier. They see these kinds of things every day, but they made me feel like I mattered. The whole process was expensive, but at the end of the day I would do anything for my animals so it just comes with the territory. Looking back, it was worth every penny to make an informed and educated decision and with how well everything was handled from start to finish that I'm so grateful for this team. I hope you find yourself here under less painful circumstances, but I am here to say that this is an amazing urgent care and the staff are A+.

They took my dog and took the blood and all the labs that they needed They told me that I would have the results either the next day or at the very latest Tuesday because they are closed on Mondays Tuesday rolls around they tell me great we have the results and we're just waiting for the doctor to go over them Didn't hear anything else Wednesday rolls around I call and I'm like hey did your doctor get a chance to go over those results? No sorry So I asked if they can hand me the Rob results without the doctor's interpretations They end up sending the results to an incorrect email address when they've had my email address on file for the past 4 years and they never get it wrong when they need to remind me of appointments or vaccination So I call them back later in the evening and forming them. I still haven't received my pet's results and they informed me that they sent it to the wrong email A few of her results are looking pretty concerning. I have one on my friends who's a vet tech interpret them for me. She's also kind of concerned Friday rolls around and I get an email that they're extremely concerned about my dog's glucose levels and that I need to schedule her a follow-up appointment to have in-house glucose test done I schedule the appointment. I arrived to my appointment this morning at 10:40 a.m. I arrived 5 minutes prior to my appointment They leave me sitting in the waiting room until 11:28 a.m. They also have a waiting room overloaded with people and pets Once they do finally come and address me, they make me aware of the fact that they're not going to be able to see my dog today because the doctor isn't in and that they messed up on their scheduling I asked them to reconsider that choice and to give me a better option because not only was I there to get a follow-up on results get an in-house blood glucose test, but I was also going to let them know of other health issues my dog was currently experiencing They informed me that well. Their doctor couldn't see me or my dog that they could still do the glucose test, but it wouldn't be an in-house glucose test. It would be a full lab test all over again and that they would have to send it out and then I would again have to wait for the doctor to interpret those readings which last time it took her over a week to do so. My dog could be having kidney or liver failure and this doctor wants to continue to make me wait for my dog's medical care I argued with them and told them I would like the glucose done today in office with the readings interpreted and then I would like to cut ties with them and stop supporting their services in the next breath of air. The vet tech tells me we're going to do the glucose in-house today and then we're going to cut ties with you as if it was her decision to cut ties I reminded her that it was my decision to cut ties with them because the quality of care that they cannot provide to my animals will not be accepted by me. The animal parent she continued to express how sorry she was that their doctor is always overbooked and has way too many patients. But they keep booking appointments and keep loading her schedule full and then she treats my dog like a dollar sign instead of an individual So instead of my dog getting the prompt and proper care that she deserves and that I paid for I literally left with no answers in an attitude from the front desk ladies as well as the vet technician They couldn't even have the decency to give me my dog's results in a timely manner or to acknowledge my concerns about needing those results in a timely manner because my dog could possibly be in renal failure and they refuse to acknowledge that I will be making a report with the ASPCA as well as the better Business bureau as well as my credit card company And I will also be finding out who owns this practice and I will be going after them legally as well If you want to keep a business in good standing, maybe treat your customers with a little bit of decency and respect. Don't make them drive 40 minutes out of their way for an appointment with a vet and then when they get there and sit there and wait for almost an hour in your waiting room.
