Ubiquiti had a solid reputation for quality and reliability, so I went about finding someone who handled their products. Yelp was a great resource and I narrowed down my choices to LA Wifi Guys, as their information gave me the most confidence. Made an appointment and David came out. Really liked his approach. Honest and transparent and not hustling me for upsells. He described my options clearly and it was easy to decide what I wanted. Not cheap, but very fair considering the higher quality solution and more experienced installation. It actually cost notably less than my original set up, which was done 6 years ago and had less features and most of all turned out crappy. David gave me an estimate for parts delivery, which turned out to be exact, and we made the install appointment for the day after. He came in and was very polite, careful and steadfast. He also was great at explaining how to operate my new system. But most of all, weeks after the install, I am sooo happy with it! As a young woman, i felt that having a functioning key remote made me feel safer . Mr Jin came by and said that the battery was dead which i thought was very weird since he just made a brand new key 2 weeks ago?? Did he use an old battery? Or was there another underlying issue? I questioned him about this but he just kept saying it needs a new battery . He wouldn't show me what was wrong with the key, just kept going to his van to look at it and INSISTED it was the battery. It Still didnt add up to me ... Anyways he opened the key, replaced the battery and charged me $40 for his time and gas to come out to me. I thought that was CRAZY since the key was malfunctioning due to his own fault and he just replaced the battery?!!? I just paid him and then went on my way. At that moment, i knew that he lost my business moving forward. 3 weeks later my remote stops working AGAIN! I go to another locksmith and they opened up my key, showed me my remote and said that when mr. jin opened the key remote. He broke a small piece, the small piece missing promotes the battery to drain fast and/or is not allowing the battery to power the remote. They replaced the battery for me in the meantime and then recommended i get a whole new remote if the problem continues .
