I've used Justin once and had an ok experience. The first time he was supposed to show for the work he did not make it that day. Blamed it on car trouble. Made it out the second day and took down the trees I requested. Had to actually help him out a bit with one of the trees which leads me to believe he's a little understaffed. Just him and a teenage boy to take down 2 fully mature trees. Job went well and I was satisfied with the results and clean up. Thats the only reason I gave a 3rd star. A few months later, I submitted a work request on his website and never received a response. I eventually gave up and decided to wait on the work until a later time. Another few months later, I submitted a work order again trying to get service done before I could have some other non-related jobs completed. Set up a meeting to come out and get a quote. DId not show. Called hours later stating "car trouble"... again... Rescheduled. Did not show on the second date... but came out hours later when no one was home. He left a quote on voice mail but I was unsure what the quote was for since I hadn't really given any details on what I wanted to do. Called back a few days later to try yet again to set up a meeting about the job. At the present time we are over an hour passed the window I was given for him to show and can't wait any longer. Pretty much given up on this one to go somewhere else. I just think he is either over worked, understaffed, or both. Needs some more organization for his business. I guess it works for the old people in the area that aren't in any rush. Don't hire unless you have all the time in the world to wait around for him. read more

I wanted to give him a good review so badly, because he is really a nice guy, but his work was just not up to par. I hired him to remove two trees, and trim branches on two other trees I had, remove a bunch of shrubs and trim my crepe myrtles. Quite a task. I asked him if he knew how to do all of this properly (because if not, I would have sent him links on how I wanted it done), and he assured me that he had been doing this for ten years, and his dad is an arborist that has "taught [him] everything [he] knows". I also asked him if I should write down all of the things I wanted done or mark the trees and he said no, that he would see it and know what needs to be done. It was supposed to be done when I was home, but we had storms so it ended up being delayed until a week that I was on vacation, but I was not concerned because of his assurances (and he has better reviews on Google). We were charged $650. When I returned, he had missed trimming a low branch that we had talked about specifically, and he straight-up trimmed my myrtles with a chain saw, leaving marks in the branches from the sloppy work. There were some other smaller complaints but I won't nit-pick here. When I contacted him, furious that I would now have to try to fix the myrtles to prevent knotting on the branches, he said "that is how [he] has been trimming them for the past ten years". Ok, so you've been doing it wrong for a decade, cool. Anyway, he said he would refund me $50 for the damage to compensate for the equipment I had to buy to fix it, then never came through with the money. He was very apologetic, but really ended up doing nothing to fix the problem. I waited about a month before writing this review, I wanted to be as fair as possible.. But even after a month, I'm still irritated that he didn't do all of the things I asked him to, and he attempted to commit crepe murder. I gave him two stars instead of one, because I think his pricing is fair, he is very polite, and I think he would be fine if you just wanted to have a tree removed. We have used Justin's services twice over the past 12 years. He has removed 3 trees, one of them was quite large, and some hedges. The second time he trimmed my 2 remaining large trees. Both experiences were great, all work was done, and all debris removed. I found his fees to be more than fair for all of the work they did and I will be calling again soon. read more

I used Justin Time Tree Service this week as a tree had fallen overnight on my car. I called a lot of services and Justin is the one who called back first at 8:00am in the morning and arrived within 30 minutes. I found him to be extremely knowledgable about trees and very cordial. His partner/cousin was also very nice. They worked at fast pace to get the job done. I found his price to be in line with what someone else may have charged. Overall, I will likely use him again to trim some of my trees in the winter months. read more

We had 6 very tall pine trees that were a danger to our house if we have another hurricane or big storm. Most were very close to our house, one within 8 feet , and a couple were already leaning toward the house. They did a fantastic job of cutting them down piece by piece without even damaging the shrubs growing around them. They left the yard spotless. Price was very good and they didn't require payment until the job was finished and we were satisfied. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The price was very reasonable. Justin and his crew arrived two hours late to take down a tree next to my shed. They dropped a branch on the edge of my shed's roof, denting the drip edge and breaking two of the shingles. One of them told me that they bent the drip edge but didn't say anything about the broken shingles. I planned to just hammer the drip edge back into shape myself. When I went out to do it I saw the rest of the mess they left: twigs everywhere, bunches of leaves from the tree, cigarette butts, and discarded drink bottles. When I called Justin he did his best to tell me I was wrong, didn't know what I was talking about, it couldn't have been him! He finally agreed that he would come out the next morning at 9am to fix it. He didn't show up until 10:30. Justin and his helper pulled the broken shingles off of the shed, tearing them into about a dozen pieces and strewing them all about. He told me he needed to leave, presumably to get some material for the repair, and that he'd be back in 15-20 minutes. Three hours later I went outside and fixed it myself. In the 15 minutes they were there tearing up the broken shingles that morning they managed to discard another drink bottle and an old t-shirt in my yard. Do you like cleaning up other people's trash that they leave in your yard? Do you like repairing your things when other people damage them? Justin time tree service is not registered with the BBB.AND he is a snake in the grass,he will take your money and run he tore up my rufe and broke my custom gutters and to top it off he also is not osha standard certified free climbing is very dangerous and he just dropped a branch on my rufe and put his ladder on my gutters and scratched them up pretty bad...i very disappointed and then to make matters worse his insurance is fake he begins to tell me he can trade work to pay for the damages.... be on the look out he owns three truck a white gmc 2500 a maroon Chevy 2500 with ugly black brush guard on it and then owns. Black 04 Chevy Silverado pickup p.s. he also drove the big trailer on my grass when he was told not to a left huge ruts...very disappointed.... five star fail... read more

We also just had an OK experience. He was supposed to come give an estimate and had vehicle trouble so he had to reschedule. They removed the limbs but said they couldn't get the stumps. They cut our chain link fence to get the limbs out and just kind of wove it back together with what looks like a black electrical cord. Needless to say, it looks horrible. I think I would try someone else. read more

just in time tree service is a joke, the man does not honour his word or commitment to his customers, i used this guy a few years ago he was great the work good , but now he is not good at all the man did not turn up when arranged despite many cancellations i stayed with him as his price was still reasonable but he is beneath contempt now he did not turn up as arranged didnt call & is now blocking my calls txt's etc, as he said he wanted to' make it right' with me and this is how he does it???, the man has no shame he is byond belief not worth a damm if you use him you do so at your own risk!!!! you have been warned !!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I was very disappointed with Just-In-Time Tree Service. I received a bid for tree work for my back yard. Justin's bid was within $100 of two other bidders, so his price seemed reasonable and I thought he seemed like a nice guy, and trustworthy. We told him we wanted him to do the job, but he then was unable to do it for about 2-3 weeks due to weather (out of our control) and then due to his having taken on other smaller jobs. When he finally did show up, he told my wife that it would now cost us $1100 (yes, eleven hundred) more to do the job because he had originally given us his "winter" rates, and it was now "spring". Needless to say, my wife said no, and that we will use someone else. When my wife told me about this I tried to contact Justin to get an explanation of why he would not honor his original bid, but he refused to return my calls. However, there were some tornadoes that caused damage in the Arlington area during that 2-3 week interval, so I guess he feels like he can charge whatever he wants since there are a lot of people with damaged trees and whose insurance companies will pick up the tab. He clearly has no problem jacking up his rates to rip off people when the work is plentiful. Don't use his services, or trust his bids. read more

Do not use this company if you want your work done right. Hired Justin to clean out a flowerbed and trim a few bushes. He came an gave me a estimate. Then has done nothing but complain about how he gave me 3 hrs. of work and I got a great deal. My flower bed looks like crap. Weeds sticking out everywhere, even starting to poke thru my weed guard. Weed guard is uneven, even along my brick wall that runs behind flower bed. What I asked for was not completed. Bought him 5 bags of dirt at 4 something a pop and there is not 5 bags of dirt in my bed, let alone 1 was suppose to be for my magnolia tree and one for my Oak tree. He said he broke his weed eater doing my lawn. I don't know how as he didn't even weed-eat along the stones he laid out to boarder my bed. I have been picking weed-eater line up all over my front yard. The bush he trimmed in the front yard has uneven stragglers all over the place and cut ones that we have had to pick up and pull off the bush. I personally went out the day before he got here and removed weeds from around my East Texas Rose bush. He pulled it while he was weeding my bed. When I brought all this to his attention he offered to give me $100 dollars back because he was to busy to come back and fix it. I even gave his workers bottled water and I found the empty bottles laying in my yard. Work was done on 9/06/2012 and we have not seen him since. I would definitely find another company unless you want to go through what I have just experienced. A little saved is not worth the hassle to mess with this careless company. read more
