I just had my daughter's 10th birthday party here. The kids had a great time painting and playing games in between. Carol is wonderful and her daughter led the painting. I had 11 little ones ranging from ages 5 -10 years old, and they were all able to follow along easily. We adults got to munch and catch up while the kiddos were entertained with art, and games, and played dress up with a variety of different costumes. This was such a nice and relaxing event. I highly recommend this business for your next party.

My husband planned a surprise date here and it was perfect. The host was so accommodating, there were plenty of pre drawn canvases (but we opted for blank canvases) just because we're both free style artist's. Paints, brushes, and guidance were all offered. We were able to bring our own snacks and wine while left to our own artistic mood. I loved the atmosphere and space that we were given. Attached is my Art created from this event. While talking to the owner afterwards I learned they have a grown woman edition paint and sip and even spoken word! Both once a month. I will definitely be back for both!

I had my daughter 8th birthday party there and all the kids had a blast even some adults had fun I highly recommend it they played dress up cotton candy and Carolyn and staff was amazing

Great experience with Carolyn and Team. We took advantage of The Paint Party To Go. We had all the supplies we needed and Carolyn was available for questions to assist. We had a group of 14 and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Had a great experience at Just For Fun Art! We came here to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday with her bffs. And they loved it. Our instructor Carolyn was awesome, she gave a very thorough instructions and tips throughout the process. It was very relaxing and a great afternoon out with the girls. This place is very accommodating and comfortable. And you're welcome to bring your own food to eat while painting. I would totally recommend it to anyone who'd like to do something new and relax! Can't wait to go back for more painting.

I've always wanted to do a fun painting night class. I gathered my cousins together and we went on Friday evening to paint. It was so much fun and very relaxing. Friday nights it's only $25! The instructor walks you through how to paint and is very helpful. Each person comes up with a unique painting. It's awesome. This place is chill and laid back. Come and relax! I would come again!

Edee was so accommodating! We had a great experience. Somehow we neglected to pre-register, but when the 6 of us (all decked out for our witch's night out) showed up at the door she didn't even skip a beat. She let us pick the painting we wanted and had them prepped and ready to go in short order. We were also able to have dinner delivered which was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend!!

I did a paint nite here and had such a great time!! I have been to several other paint nights but enjoyed the environment, the relaxed atmosphere and the kind and patient instructor!! My friend and and I arrived about 20 min earlier and they were very accommodating and let us hangout and eat our dinner. Can't wait to go back!!!

I recently gave a 10th birthday party for my daughter here. The kids - boys and girls - and parents all had an amazing time! So much so my 22 year old wants to host her next birthday party here! There is a room right off of the main one that you can rent as well where you can bring in food or open gifts etc. Word to the wise, there really is no need to bring decorations... wish I had known that ahead of time. Carol is a lot of fun and very easy to follow. My daughter has wanted to try this for some time and I'm thrilled I finally found a place where you can paint with children!

Each class is 2 hours. I didn't catch the name of our instructor but she was good. Aprons, acrylic paints, brushes, palette plate, water provided. She had a finished piece displayed as an example to follow and also did a painting live alongside step by step. If you wanted to order food or drinks from the restaurant there was a server/waitress available too, one section of the place was just for our event. In Sacramento I've previously been to Happy Hour Paints, Paint Nite/Yaymaker, and The Painted Cork so this wasn't a new thing for me, but it had been forever and awhile and I enjoy creating art, whichever the medium may be. Groupon might still be having a deal and check out their calendar for upcoming events.

It was a nice event, lots of options for containers and the instructor had a good energy. I like Yaymaker because of the convenience, all the supplies are there for you, no setting up or cleaning, and you come home with a cute piece of art after a few hours. Very minimal commitment. :)

She even had music going in the background which made it even better. Yolo brew is a modern style warehouse, with a great delicious craft beers, and a good vibe. The second Yaymaker I attended was with coworkers. This one was so much fun and the instructor was awesome as well, but I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the following: The bar it was held at, Mandango's in Roseville, was dingy and dirty. They were playing the loudest, offensive music. I could barely hear the poor instructor. I felt bad for her. I had to walk over and ask the bar to lower the blaring music that was screaming and rapping offensive slurs about women. Seriously Mandango's?! I'll write a separate review on them. Good thing the instructor was wonderful! Good thing we had beer and a good group! I'd recommend checking out the venue they hold it at first. Yaymaker is awesome, great experience with them, but maybe they need to be more selective on the venues they choose (Mandango's). We came away with some great painting and laughs!

I had such a genuinely great experience here, and it was all because of Maria. She has the kind of…read moreenergy that makes you feel instantly comfortable, like you're talking to someone who actually gets why needlepoint matters. I walked in thinking I'd just browse a little, and she somehow turned it into one of the most fun, easy shopping experiences I've had in a long time. Maria didn't just point me toward a wall of canvases. She asked what I liked, what my style was, what my mom might enjoy, and she actually listened. She pulled out options I never would've found on my own, explained the details without making me feel overwhelmed, and helped me pick out a canvas for myself that I'm honestly obsessed with. She also helped me choose one for my mom that feels so perfectly her it almost made me emotional. There's something really refreshing about someone who knows their craft and still treats you like a person instead of a transaction. Maria made the whole visit feel personal, thoughtful, and genuinely fun.

First thing is I love needlepoint, I'm a huge customer…read more I was a long time customer (40 years) of TheNeedlepointer in Edmonds, WA. This store was sold to someone in California and moved to California. In this sale/transition, I had items in the system to be finished. The wait for items during that time was a year+. Note that I invested $1K+ for the canvases and threads for these "sets" before prepaying for the finish work. The pre-paid finish work was over $1k. Previously, I've never had issues, so didn't think anything about time or $$. I knew it would show up eventually. When I got my finished items about a 1.5 years later, the finish work was all over the board and not what I asked for. I had some that were "soft" ornaments, which is what I asked for. Some where thing framed hard, some where think framed hard. The problem with this is that they were ornament "sets". So the finish work of each set didn't match. I called the new store and they told me that if I sent back the "sets" they'd send them out to have them "redone". I sent them all back at my cost and was told that it would be another year+ since they had to go back in line in the system for finishing. I agreed and then didn't think much about them. 2 years later I got a box of ripped up unfinished ornaments/needlepoint canvases with zero explanation. Imagine my shock! I called and asked "why they sent them back in the condition that they are in" . I got the run around on explanation for over a year, I kept having to send in the original paperwork and explain over and over to new people. My request was to complete the finish work that I paid for or refund the money so I could find someone to finish them on my own. They just kept giving me the run around, then a new person would respond and we'd go through the same process over and over. I am on my 5th person now. They offered me $200 to call it good. I declined. I think my next step is to take them to "quick claim court", I need to investigate how to do this. I recommend NEVER to use this company. There are so many other "needlework" shops out there that are reputable and super supportive. Its just been frustrating trying to deal with them long distance and since they don't answer their phone EVER, leaving messages and sending emails does nothing.
