Each class is 2 hours. I didn't catch the name of our instructor but she was good. Aprons, acrylic paints, brushes, palette plate, water provided. She had a finished piece displayed as an example to follow and also did a painting live alongside step by step. If you wanted to order food or drinks from the restaurant there was a server/waitress available too, one section of the place was just for our event. In Sacramento I've previously been to Happy Hour Paints, Paint Nite/Yaymaker, and The Painted Cork so this wasn't a new thing for me, but it had been forever and awhile and I enjoy creating art, whichever the medium may be. Groupon might still be having a deal and check out their calendar for upcoming events.

We are already planning our next trip back and can't wait to bring our nephews along! Highly, highly recommend.

Gather holds a number of different crafting classes, from painting to macramé, to candles and body scrubs, and everything in between! They also offer seasonal classes such as wreath-making and chunky blanket weaving. I attended a private "Scrub & Bubbly" party where we made 3 different body scrubs to take home. The sweet owner Meleya was our instructor and had the mimosa bar and our work space, nicely organized with all of our tools and ingredients, set up when we arrived for our 90 minute class. She had some pre-printed recipe suggestions for us or we could make up our own concoctions as far as what scents we liked. Everyone's individual sugar scrubs turned out amazing! It was such a fun and enjoyable time, sipping on our mimosas and getting our hands dirty (and by that, I actually mean, getting our hands CLEAN AND SOFT AND SMELLING WONDERFUL!). Perfect spot to host a special event (birthdays, showers, etc.) or if you're just in a crafting mood. So gather your friends, make something awesome, and have a great time!

The instructor gathered some glass and did the initial shaping while explaining what he was doing and allowed each student to add their colors. We were able to reheat the glass in the glory hole under supervision and they assisted us in shaping. They were very hands on and did some of the more difficult things for you but definitely allowed you to try before taking over if necessary. We learned a lot and we had a good time. It is a very expensive experience but it definitely has value. You leave with knowledge, experience and a nice keepsake. I think a class here would make a great gift for someone or a fun activity to do with a friend or on a date and I would definitely come back here, especially if someone else was footing the bill!

It is time consuming, but was so worth it. The $41 Groupon gets you two plates to design and they also have glass blowing and bead making classes as well. Full COVID safety is in full force here with sanitation measures of the products. You do sign a waiver acknowledging release of liability in case of any injuries but safety is super simple and straightforward. It's super easy to get the hang of and I really had a great time! BETTER THAN PORN!…read more My Husband was surprising me with some mysterious activity in Sacramento for my Birthday on April 2nd (a Tues) and upon getting into the car we had the following conversation: Him: So now that we are on our way i guess i can tell you what we are doing. We will be indoors with a lot of bright lights, so it's good that you did your makeup, and look nice. Me: Very puzzled expression. Him: Do you remember that move, "Zach and Miri Make a Porno" and how at the end their business is helping couples create their own studio-quality sex tapes? Me: Yeaaaaah... Him: Well i thought it would be nice, you know to do that, and its a really nice place with only women on set... Me: WTF?! You're kidding, we are absolutely not doing that! No, you're joking...and if you're not you better turn this car around! And he kept acting like this was legitimately his surprise for a another minute and was doing a really convincing job of pretending that he was for real, and thus my anxiety/anger level was increasing until he finally laughs and says, no we are going to a glass blowing class. Oh the relief! Obviously i was a bit mad at the deception but had to laugh at his uncanny ability to say all of that to me with a straight face. Anyways, the ladies of Girl Glass thought this story was hilarious and really wanted to have it said on yelp that this experience was better than porn, and it was! I do know that they made a special exception via emails and phone calls back and forth between them and my husband to arrange this private class for us because it was not a normal day that they would have done it. They even allowed us to go to their house, and we did it in their backyard, just the two of us. My husband and I each made ornaments, and it was a really unique and fun experience that I totally recommend to anyone with any interest in the art of glass blowing. Its mind boggling what they can do and how it works and also very hot!!! Long sleeves highly recommended! They do a demo, and then they guide you through choosing your colors and then actually doing it yourself/assisting in the creation of your very own masterpiece. You don't get to take it home right away but they have various arrangements for getting it once it is ready. Another sweet touch: they had asked my hubby ahead of time if i liked vanilla or chocolate, to which he told them chocolate and then after our ornaments were made they brought out two delicious chocolate cupcakes from a local bakery in honor of my birthday! It was above and beyond to even get them but they were to-die-for good too!!! And so, to the ladies of Girl Glass: I give you five stars and I say thank you for a wonderful memory. I can't wait to see our finished ornaments!

It was a private catered dinner cooked and served up a dinner like no dinner we have ever experienced. Brittney, from the Glass House Garden, is amazing. She provided the venue and organized our dinner event. It was like going out to dinner at a private restaurant in a beautiful garden setting - all specially prepared and set up just for my family and friends. We all felt so wonderful and so special. I cannot describe how wonderful the foods were - all of the dishes - every ingredient - so good, and as we learned from Scott, the chef, also good for us. My husband said it was an experience he will never forget - the food, the atmosphere, the conversation, the wonderful atmosphere, and the people. And he never says stuff like that! The whole experience was completely different from a regular restaurant experience, and I just can't tell you how wonderful it all was. I felt like we were all rock stars or something. If you want to try something new and uplifting and fun and different and delicious and inspiring, book a meal through Brittney with the Glass House Garden. Tell her what you want, or ask her for ideas and you are done. Just invite your people and go and enjoy. It will not just be just an eating out thing, it will be a food, fun, and friends event that you will stay in your heart. I plan on making this my new way to go out for a nice dinner. The typical restaurant experience, does not even come close to this new way of enjoying food with your people. And so reasonably priced! What a concept. I am thinking I will also book the Glass House Garden for a work lunch for my work friends - what a great way to jazz things up. Thanks so much, Brittney.
