Awesome experience with Design with Fire! We went as a small group to a glass fusing class. It's my first time ever doing any type of glass fusing and I had a blast. It is time consuming, but was so worth it. The $41 Groupon gets you two plates to design and they also have glass blowing and bead making classes as well. I was a bit confused at times on the process being a total newb, but I'm so excited to see how my art turned out when coming back next weekend. Full COVID safety is in full force here with sanitation measures of the products. You do sign a waiver acknowledging release of liability in case of any injuries but safety is super simple and straightforward. It's super easy to get the hang of and I really had a great time! I can't wait to try their other classes!

This place is awesome! You can design all kinds of things out of glass here. There are classes offered for the novice. Glass blowing is also offered. This is actually what got my attention. I have always wanted to learn this skill. I took my daughter here for a girls day out. Such a cool bonding experience it was indeed. We made some cool pieces. Will definitely go back to try out and make more things.

I found out about this place through Groupon and although I was a bit skeptical when I saw where it was located, I ended up loving my time there. For 38 bucks I did the intro to glass fusing, where you get to make two small sushi plates. What's great about this place is that the owner just teaches you the basics and lets you create whatever your mind desires. This place is great for all you DIY/artsy people, maybe not so much for people who just throw random pieces on. I'd definitely recommend trying it out however, regardless of your creative skill! It's a great way to spend 3 hours on a Saturday AND you can come back and use their studio!

Some of my favorite items to browse are the candles for the latest seasonal scents, the local items, and the ceramics. On top of the great variety of items for purchase, they partner with local businesses for events and experiences where you can craft, learn more about products, and get hands on. They're bringing the community together while uplifting other small businesses. Adj: pretty amazing arts and crafts supply store…read more This is a big Michael's store on North Freeway in Natomas. It's got a little bit of most everything and a lot of some things whatever you might be looking for in the arts and crafts dept for your hobbies and interests. We came specifically to look at yarn and there was a ton to choose from. After Michael's bought out JoAnn's, there's a lot more to choose from because the JoAnn's store brand yarn is now also available at Michael's plus other supplies that are also JoAnn's brand are included too now. In particular, I find the Loops and Threads private label basic acrylic brand to be really good quality and doesn't fray and not rough like Red Heart which I really don't like. Looking around the store at other items, there was a lot of St Patrick's Day items: decorations, crafts, fun knick knacks, etc. The Easter items were also out in full force with tons of pastel everything you can possibly think of. This store was well organized, big, clean and to me nicer than the one on Laguna in Elk Grove. Of course, this store is newer so that might be a big part of it too. As for customer service, I picked up a couple skeins of yarn that I ordered online to make sure the color wouldn't run out before I got to the store in person and the staff person was friendly to point me to where to pick up since I'm not as familiar with this store as the Elk Grove one. Good value on my purchase as I had a discount on my rewards account, but I also found a lot of clearanced and discounted yarn. In fact, there was a ton of items on sale throughout the store! Overall, I like this store and plan to come back and spend more time browsing and shopping the next time I get a chance to have a leisure retail therapy day. ;)

Around 2:20 PM, the cashier was sarcastic, snarky, and came off condescending when I showed her my voucher directly from my email. The voucher was valid and expired today, yet I was told I couldn't use it and was made to feel questioned unnecessarily. What made it more frustrating was seeing the same cashier waving goodbye to a customer I later noticed putting items into a black purse while shopping with their daughter. Maybe focusing more on the store cameras instead of questioning a clearly valid email voucher would help prevent actual theft. Holidays are stressful enough--basic respect goes a long way. Happy holidays to everyone else.

Next year's schedule is already posted to their website. Everything you need to know and get ready for an expo is right there. I have been to over 10 expos since it started. It's held downtown at the convention center. We have an area the size of a football field set up so we can scrap from 8 am to midnight Friday and Saturday and 3pm to midnight Thursday. At the crops they offer use of a large work station with various scrapbooking tools. Prizes are drawn all evening long. On Thursday night there are 10 make and takes included in the evening. Next door to the scrap area is a shopping center that fits onto another football field. Name brand suppliers and some smaller companys bring the latest products to demo and sell. You can shop til you drop Friday and Saturday 9-5. Over 50 instructional classes are also offered in adjacent classrooms for two days. If you think you might want to start scrapbooking or card marking this event could truly get you hooked. If you are an old pro at it, this is an all around great venue to enjoy your craft.
