Just Eat This! was located at our neighborhood pool for our weekly Food Truck Thursdays. I checked out the menu beforehand, and my husband decided to order because the menu items sounded delicious. They also had great reviews on Yelp, so we thought why not? It was super easy to order as well. Street Food Finder is an awesome tool to order from any food truck on certain times/days depending on location. We ordered a few minutes before 6 since we were really hungry (hours tonight were 6-8 pm). The website kept me updated on when the food would be ready - I received a text as soon as the food was ready. I had a Jalapeños Bacon Burger with tator tots, my husband had the Ultimate Buffalo Chicken with Fried Pickles. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious! We were very happy with our order, and hope that they come back soon. Unfortunately, we were so hungry that I didn't get a picture of the food! read more

Wow!! Y'all for 11.50 I got a double burger with HAND CUT fries, yes I'm boujie, when it comes to potato's and these fries are legit! Not over salted, but just right! I never normally order a double burger but now that I have a food loving babe, I have to share and I normally don't! Lol! My son got some of a patty, bread, and yummy fries, I even let him have ketchup for the first time! I ordered the BBQ burger and my husband got the Jalapeño one! Both delish! Would totally order again!!! Also, I'm almost 100 percent sure it's just the entire fam in on this truck, how cool! Support y'all! Eat food and feel good all over! read more

Frank and I are grateful to have had Chef Chris cater our wedding reception in September of 2018. Since we live in Virginia and were unable to fly down to Charleston for tastings, we reached out to Chef Chris based on his online reviews. Thank goodness for the reviews! They were on point. Chef Chris was extremely professional and his food was amazing. Not only did Chef Chris provide the catering, but he also was the point person for my table, chairs, and linen rental and the bar service. Having Chef Chris as the point person was a life saver, giving me a single point of contact for multiple moving parts! Our wedding reception was held at out of town and very casual yacht club. It was a bit of a schlep from Charleston (about a 40 minute drive) and didn't have a freezer. Chef Chris brought *everything* he needed, including an ingenious way to keep ice cream without a freezer on site (not sure how he did it, but I assume I would have been impressed). His staff was terrific and multiple guests said the bar service staff was also wonderful. The food was perfect! We had the low-country boil and it was AMAZING! The shrimp were HUGE and the corn was crisp, potatoes were perfect, and the sausage was bursting. We also had pulled pork on soft buns, as well as salad and green beans. No wedding cake - we went with apple cobbler. All my guests commented on the food, during and after the wedding reception. Serving large groups is always a challenge, but Chef Chris made it seamless and so flavorful! Frank and I strongly recommend booking Chef Chris! He is wonderful to work with and delivers amazing food and service. Good luck! read more

I coordinated with Chef Chris of Just Eat This! to provide a private chef service for a bachelorette party I planned in Charleston in July 2017. He was very responsive throughout the planning process and was very fairly priced - much less than what we would have spent going out for a similar quality dinner in Charleston! There were twelve girls (including one vegetarian) and Chef Chris did a wonderful job of preparing, plating and cleaning up the three different (and delicious) courses which included the following: Appetizers: Fried Chicken & Waffles Pimento cheese dip Entree: Sliced beef tenderloin Brussels sprouts Mashed potatoes Roasted vegetables for the one vegetarian Dessert: Southern peach cobbler with ice cream Chef Chris was faced with cooking in a very small kitchen in the house we had rented and the air conditioning went out right before he arrived. Despite these challenges he was extremely gracious and it was a seamlessly executed meal. I would highly recommend Chef Chris for any dinner event needs in the Charleston area. read more

I had Just Eat This! at the Nexton Piccolo Spoleto event, and it was amazing. I ordered the Jet Double Burger, with fries, and it was cooked to perfection. The caramelized onions were spot on. Be warned - it is a lot of food. You'll walk away with a very full belly, but it's so worth it. If you like food trucks and crave a good burger, I don't think you can beat the Jet double burger. read more

Can not emphasize enough how much we recommend hiring Chris and Just Eat This!! We hosted an event of 50 guests, and Chris worked with us to make every detail perfect and easy. He made cucumber topped w/ salmon mousse, coconut shrimp w/ thai chili sauce, chicken & waffle bites, fried green tomatoes, beef tenderloin sliders and honestly the biggest and most gorgeous cheese and charcuterie board I have ever seen. We had more than enough food, got lots of compliments and Chris even provided all the servingware and disposables. Definitely hire them for your event!!! read more

Just Eat This! Food Truck visited our office today and unfortunately I didn't bring my lunch today. The menu for J.E.T. looked really good and I was craving some spice in my life so I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich with fries; I wish I had gotten the fried pickles as my side, they looked delicious. The sandwich was really good and feeling, I just wished that it packed more heat on the Buffalo side of things. Fries were good, and they had vinegar for them. read more

We absolutely loved the food/ service provided at our wedding in September!! Chris and his crew also catered our rehearsal dinner and all our family and friends very impressed with how great it was. Our families are big eaters so we had to make sure the food was top notch and they definitely delivered! Thank you again!!! read more

This food truck is awesome! I've had multiple menu items and they were all tasty. However, I highly recommend the Beef Rib Poutine and the Chicken & Waffles. Both are fantastic, especially the former! If you see this truck, make sure you pick something up! read more

Chef Chris did an unbelievable job on an in home catering job that I hired him for this past weekend in Folly Beach. I was organizing an out of town Bachelorette party for a group of young women on a "night in" and couldn't have been more pleased. Chris had provided me with a contract and lots of help on a menu choice months prior to our event. All 6 girls absolutely loved all of the delicious appetizers ( they were in all actuality large plate portions) and we have been raving about him since! Not only did Chef Chris come prepared with everything necessary to serve us 8-10 small plates, but he was able to join in on some conversation and tell us more about the passion he has for cooking and pleasing others through food. I will say that some of our favorites were his shrimp and grits, his risotto balls, the lamb lollipops and the chicken and waffles. WOW! Thanks Again Chef Chris read more

We used Just Eat This! for our wedding reception (100 people). We selected them based on excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. Chris was very easy to work with. My husband and I intended for the food at our reception to be a gourmet take on southern food and we put together a menu with Chris' help. We really wanted people to enjoy the food and atmosphere at our reception. It seems like everyone LOVED it! Everything was delicious. We received many compliments. We were also able to plan all of it from out of town, which is not easy. Because we were unable to do a tasting, we felt that excellent reviews were a must. We are so glad we picked Just Eat This! The food was just what we wanted. read more

Hiring Chris as our personal chef for the kick off of my best friend's bachelorette weekend was the best decision I ever made. The food was delicious (and well priced), clean up was taken care of, and Chris most certainly didn't judge our over-the-top consumption of wine :) I highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for a fun, stressless night in...or a big night out! read more

Chris' service and food was so awesome, I feel compelled to write a review from the table as I sit here fat, full and very happy! There was even way more food than we had ever expected and the quality was just incredible. We are in from New York celebrating my friends' bachelorette wknd in Folly Beach and this was just SUCH an amazing addition to our weekend. We rented a great house, had Chris come and cook for us and we sat, drank wine and enjoyed each other, all while being served tons of delicious food! I would highly recommend this for anybody staying in Folly Beach, big parties or small-this is a great night in at an awesome price. So enjoyable! THANK YOU CHRIS!!! read more

We just got married last weekend, and we don't have words to express the impact Chris and his staff had on our wedding. Chris made us feel like family and he took a personal interest in our special day. He provided us with a tasting months before our wedding, gave us excellent suggestions and responded to our e-mails in a positive and timely manner. The food was AMAZING! The task of pleasing a blend of New York Italians and some true Southerners while daunting to some, was seamlessly achieved by Chris and his staff. They attended to small details (framing and displaying our menu displaying our wine choices on the bar) that made a big difference. We went to several restaurants while staying in Wild Dunes, and we can honestly say Chris's cooking was the best! If you are considering Just Eat This, make sure to include the crab bites in your menu! read more

You know how every now and then, you come across food that's SO FREAKIN' YUMMY you keep thinking about it later? Yeah, that's what I experienced when I ate food from the Just Eat This! food truck. We hit them up at Saturday's food truck rodeo. Although the place was packed, my friend got food from Just Eat This! in a shorter amount of time than I did in another food truck's line. By the time I finally caught up with her and got settled, the food from Just Eat This! was already cooled down. REGARDLESS that was some ridiculously good eating!!! She got the chicken & waffles and the poutine. She mentioned the gravy for the chicken & waffles cooled off pretty quick. All I know is that dish was delicious, with a surprisingly sweet but perfect flavor profile. It was maybe one of the best chicken & waffles I've ever eaten. Definitely the best I've had in a while. Now the real star though was that poutine. I've eaten authentic poutine while in Canada a few years back. If any place in Charleston serves poutine, I want to try! I tried the Southern General's, which people seem to like, but thought it was just okay. The poutine from Just Eat This!.... oh my.... dangerously, sinfully, amazingly delicious. Beef short rib, french fries that you can tell were fresh, cheese curds, gravy... so much goodness. Even cold I couldn't help going back for another bite while half of another truck's dish sat untouched. VERY impressed with the two items we tried from this food truck and I really look forward to trying more of their menu BUT I'm definitely getting their poutine again. YUMMMMMMMMMMM! read more

For our 10 year wedding anniversary my husband I chose Edisto Beach - I mean who wouldnt want to renew their wedding vows overlooking the ocean? Half of our guests were from Canada (we moved up there) and the other half were native to South Carolina. We cant get real low country food up North so wanted to be sure that we got all the favorites - Fried Chicken, BBQ, Boil, Hushpuppies, Biscuits etc... I usually hate organizing catering from afar because it ends up being a nightmare but Chris took things in hand right from my first e-mail. He made the process of ordering and booking super easy. Day of the event he had everything into the beach house and set up before I could blink! He and his team had thought of everything we would need and made sure it was perfect. Our Canadian guests loved the food (it was new to them so we knew they would) but so did our natives! "Just like my mom makes" from one friend and "best biscuits ever" from another! And clean up was a breeze because there was nothing left! I will definately use Chris again next time we go south. Just wish he could deliver! read more

We used Chef Chris for our bachelorette weekend while staying on the isle of palms! Because I was booking from out of town I was a little nervous about the experience, but I must say I was extremely impressed with Chris and his assistant. They showed up to our home on time and had the food ready exactly one hour post arrival. He was able to cater to the variety of different tastes and allergies in our group and the food was wonderful, though he was a little quite and didn't interact too much with the group (though we are a loud group and he had a lot going on). The items we picked for our meal was the beef tenderloin (highly recommend), potatoes, goat cheese salad, and a granola style ice cream compote (wasn't as impressed with this). After the service they cleaned up the entire kitchen and left 13 women happy and full! For a great meal Chef Chris was wonderful! read more

I found Chis/Just Eat This! Catering through Yelp and my experience was amazing from the get-go. Chris responded promptly to emails and provided information in a clear & concise manner. 8 girls were traveling to Charelston for bachelorette party and we staying at in a rented condo. Not only did Chris cook an amazing southern dinner experience - apps, salad, main meal and desset - but he also picked up the table linens, which made the night all that more special. Chris came in, set up shop in fairly small kitchen, set the table, served us dinner and dessert, cleaned up after himself and then was outta there as if nothing had happened. While Chris was preparing dinner, we enjoyed apps and our champagne toast. All of the food was amazing and the night was so memorable. Charleston has so many great restaurants, but Chris' southern cooking in our home was delightful. Honestly, I would recommend Chris to anyone looking for a great cook, who also happens to be a professional business man and thoughtful artist. Thanks for everything, Chris! read more

Chris was wonderful - we asked him to create a meal for my parent's anniversary - intimate dinner with just immediate family - and he did not disappoint. Presentation was good and food was good but nothing amazing. We asked for him to make his most popular dishes and I honestly felt like he chose the easiest/cheapest. Veggies with a balsamic dip, hummus with pita and spinach artichoke dip with bread. To me, those are very simple easy things I could have made. Tuna sashimi was fresh but no sauce and plainly put on a cracker. Ham on biscuits with a sweet jelly, and fried green tomatoes. Again the food was good but certainly not worth 50/person read more

Rave reviews for Chief Chris!!! We were treated to a delicious dinner prepared by Chris while vacationing on the Isle of Palms. We had 10 dining at our house and all 10 were thrilled with the entire experience from mouth watering appetizers to scrumptious dessert. Chris was very easy to work with and quite agreeable with what we wanted. The price was just what we expected. We were having a small dinner to celebrate a friend's upcoming wedding and we knew we wanted to do something special. Chris was recommended by a friend and we thought hiring a chef for our small 5 person dinner at home would be a great treat. Chris went above and beyond our expectations and I can't say enough good things about our experience. The hardest part was choosing our menu which is a good problem to have. Chris prepared an amazing meal for us that we still talk about to this day. At the end of the evening I think the kitchen was even cleaner than it was before he came. To say the least it was a great evening and delicious dinner! read more

15 girls rented a house in Folly Beach, SC for a bachelorette party this past weekend. Since everyone was flying in at different times, we decided it would be easier to eat dinner at the house on Friday night. I found Chef Chris online, and he quickly responded after I contacted him. He was so easy to work with, and he helped us plan a great meal. Everything was excellent! He prepared, cooked, and cleaned up while we ate and hung out. Everyone loved all of the food-- which is pretty rare when there are 15 girls to please. I highly recommend him for any get together in the Charleston area! read more

If you're looking for an at-home chef for your special event, look no further and book with Chris. I just used Just Eat This! for my bachelorette party brunch and could not have been more pleased. I called 4 other companies and Chris was by far, the more responsive, easy-to-work-with, and an added bonus, the most affordable when compared to the other companies. He even went the extra mile and cooked for us on a morning that he had an event for over 100 people in the evening, because we got our schedules mixed up. Really, I wish I could give him 6 stars on Yelp! My 10 girlfriends and I had flown in from all over the country and had the best meal of our weekend with Chris. Thanks so much for the chicken and waffles and the great experience, Chris! read more

Chef Chris created a dinner in our sparsely accommodated rental home kitchen for a bachelorette party with 16 ladies. The Chef worked with me to create a menu and avoid dietary restrictions within the group, and everything turned out absolutely perfect. He created exactly what we were looking for (a casual Southern type fair at the house) and didn't make any fuss when we our timeline ended up a bit behind. The price was also very reasonable based on my research of similar services in the area. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to cater an event. read more

We used Just Eat This for a family gathering at Isle of Palms and it was fabulous. We chose 'southern food' for our up north famly and they LOVED it. Fried chicken, cheese biscuits and among other things, a shrimp appetizer that disappeared in minutes! I cannot recommend Chef Chris enough! I organized a bachelorette party in Charleston for 11 girls and found Chef Chris based on great Yelp reviews. We were so lucky to have found him! He was easy to work with and flexible leading up the party, was extremely independent (brought all of his own ingredients, did not ask for any help or need anything from us when he was cooking), was very friendly, and cleaned up and let himself out. And the food! It was incredible. Everyone loved it, with some girls even proclaiming it was the best meal we had all weekend (and we ate at some high end restaurants). I recently helped plan a bachelorette weekend in Charleston and thought it would be fun to have a private chef one evening and Chef Chris did not disappoint!! I have eaten in alot of places and have had tons of burgers, I have never had a burger this GOOD. I will put them up against Husk anyday. It is juicy, done to perfection and whatever you want on it's there. the burgers are HUGE, so make sure you don't eat all day. I order the burger slider and that is big as well. Lettuce, tomato and yummy. The sweet potato fries are to die for, just perfect. Couldnt ask for a better burger. They do have plenty of other items on their menu not just burgers and I have no doubt it's all just as good. it was recently sold and we were concerned that once it had been sold that it would not be the same but IT'S STILL THE BEST EVER. Changing hands didn't make a difference. read more

Chef Chris is a force to be reckoned with! I booked him far in advance for my best friend's August bachelorette party in Charleston, and he was super easy to work with in discussing the menu, dietary restrictions, etc, and had some great recommendations as well. He was very professional and you could tell he had a passion for his work. Chef Chris arrived at our Airbnb house rental early and well prepared, and he got to cooking away while the ladies enjoyed some wine and relaxed. We opted to do a very Southern food-heavy family-style heavy hors-d'oeuvres meal and it was absolutely perfect in every way. Standouts included the pimento cheese, crab dip, shrimp & grits, chicken and waffles, tuna wonton crisps (really everything was absolutely delicious). We even ended up with leftovers which came in handy for late night grazing after the bars. Pricing was very reasonable as well with what we received - Chef Chris offers several different meal styles and options; again, he was so so easy to work with (and the ladies loved chatting with him - and his assistant - as he was cooking away). Our foodie bachelorette was very pleased and the rest of the group all raved about Chef Chris the rest of the weekend. I highly recommend Chef Chris and Just Eat This! catering and will absolutely use him again for future events in the Charleston area.
