My venue did not recieve that information until almost September. My venue called me in November stating they were unable to get in touch with Southern Bear Catering. So i tried to reach out myself, but did not get an answer. I emailed, called and messaged them on Facebook. I eventually found one of the works on Facebook and sent a private message. They said they no longer worked there. So I reached out to trish the owner. I told her I had been trying to get intouch with someone and that I wanted my contract. I never did sign a contract with her as I was never given one. I asked for the contract in December 2025. She emailed me a contract in January 2026. It was only signed by her. I told her I wanted a refund as there is absolutely no communication! I never received the refund so I had to take her to small claims court. SHOCKER..she never showed. I had to drive 4hrs to go to court..I won the case.. but please save your time and money and DO NOT HIRE SBC!! Such a headache!

We placed a large corporate order. They arrived punctually, set everything up which included all of the serving pieces. After the party, they picked everything up promptly. The food was delicious, flavorful and plentiful! We ordered chicken with mushrooms, vegetarian lasagne and the pork. All three were a hit with the guests. The order with a side, salad and drinks. Sarah was extremely helpful in promptly providing the meal options and quotes for the weekend. The prices seemed reasonable and the menu options appealed to us. He took the information provided to him back to our family reunion committee, so we could vote on whether or not to proceed. The committee voted and it was decided to proceed with Dish & Design. We decided on the menus for both nights and signed the contracts. We thought everything was finalized after signing the contracts until we were notified that the menu prices had increased for 2024. Unfortunately, we were not initially provided this information at the time we received the quotes, menu options, and contracts. We reached out to Sarah, who needed to speak with her boss, Ana, about this issue. Ana spoke with my husband and stated we would need to sign new contracts due to the menu prices increasing. He provided this information to the chairperson of our committee and she reached out to Ana directly about this issue. Ana was extremely unprofessional and unwilling to honor the initial signed contracts. She really left us uneasy about this issue and extremely unsatisfied. She even went as far as to say, Sarah was new and inexperienced and that was the reason for the mistake. As the manager, she never took ownership nor accountability for the mistake and just played the blame game. After many discussions and much reluctance from Ana, she finally agreed to honor the Sunday meal contract; however, she did not honor the contract for Saturday's meal and stated we would have to sign a new contract and pay the increased prices for that particular meal. With limited time and resources, since we are not residents of Charleston, we opted to stick with Dish & Design. While, some of the guests thought the food was decent and the service during the event was great (special thanks to Christina), it still left a less than desirable interest to ever hire them again nor recommend them for catering services. Although, everything wasn't bad, Ana's attitude and lack of professionalism is the main reason I cannot recommend Dish & Design for catering services in the Charleston area and can only rate them with 3-stars.

Celebrating their friendship before the first of the group gets married, our son wanted everything to be perfect! Since they were arriving at different times, from all over the country, I decided to call Graze Craze, just hours before their arrival, in a last minute attempt to provide some nibbles for these young men to enjoy after a long travel day. Without hesitation, Keith (who I had never met) made a few suggestions and got to work immediately, it seemed! Just a couple hours later (literally), and unbeknownst to me, he had, not only, prepared a beautiful board, but it was delivered and placed in the refrigerator BEFORE my son arrived! (Okay! His timing was perfect, as the property manager just happened to be there which allowed Keith to have access to the home!) Everything fell into place perfectly yesterday for both my son and me and it all started with a last-minute phone call to Graze Craze! I planned a getaway for my parents 30th wedding anniversary where we were on a boat. Chef ty went over and above to accommodate! Once my parents arrived, We started the evening off with a fresh made whipped ricotta cheese Crostini there he had made earlier that day!! it was unbelievable! We had three toppings that we could put on top including Olive Tapenade, Sun Dried Tomato Jam, and Local Honey from a bee farm right in Charleston!! We absolutely LOVED this starter and had plenty of leftovers that I was eating it all the next day on the boat as well. It was a shaved kale salad with lemon, dried blueberries, pecorino cheese and pine nuts. sounds so simple, but it was one of those things that was just so memorable and delicious!! The next dish was a roasted beet and tartar salad that was out of this world. my parents are huge beet lovers, but I personally am not and believe me when I say I cleaned my plate on this one! It was cubes of roasted beet, goat gouda (which was amazing), fine herbs, lemon, and cubes of jicama. This was such a pleasant surprise and such a different type of beet salad that everything loved. The fourth dish of the evening was vermillion snapper ceviche. THIS WAS SO GOOD! locally caught fish from that morning which you could just taste the difference in how fresh it was compared to at home (we are from Missouri so not a lot of seafood going on there). This ceviche has Persian cucumbers, chilies which gave it a little subtle kick, lime, Thai basil, and corn nuts for a bit of a unique crunch which we loved! I just couldn't believe how fresh this dish tasted which really shows how out of the way chef ty goes to get the most fresh and local food available. I mean shopping for the food day of?! comon! amazing! The fifth dish was something that my mom and I talked about trying to make at home! it was grilled pepper shrimp with watermelon, pickled watermelon rind, and mint. It was so refreshing and so delicious with the peppered shrimp that you would never think to put the two together!!! Well see how my mom's and my dish turn out, but Im sure it will not be as delicious as chef ty's! The Main event was my dad favorite part of the meal. And let me tell you we had gone to halls chophouse the night before and my parents literally said that Chef Ty's steak was the best meal they had had all week. Chef Ty served 30 day aged prime New York Strip Steak with a local purple potato puree, roasted mushrooms and an incredible bordelaise sauce. The meat was so delicious, it just melted in your mouth. If you ever have Chef Ty for an event I highly highly highly suggest having him prepare this for you!! it was life changing. Finally after all this food you would think we wouldn't have been able to eat anymore. But then Chef Ty brings out personalized Vanilla Creme Brûlées out to the boat with Gingered Sugar on top and makes them table side right in from of us!! he tops them with fresh south Carolina Peaches on top and within minutes they were completely gone. It was the perfect way to end the meal. We finished with a toast and i could see how happy my parents were all thanks to Chef Ty. He really made the night one that we will never forget.
