Finally had a piece of furniture that belonged to my mother that I'd kept for sentimental reasons, but just didn't fit into my small space. I offered it on freecycle, but no oe was interested, so I called junk pros and made an appointment for to have it picked up and hauled away. The truck arrived at the time it said it would, and the team with the truck were in "uniform" (red shirts with the company logo) and were very courteous. The team called in advance to let me know they were coming, and I received a follow up call to make sure the appointment had been kept. Good communication, and good service. I can't say enough good things about Junk Pros! After a number of deaths in our family, our 3 car garage looked more like an archeological dig than a garage. We cleaned out our garage, and we had a side yard full of big bulky old couches, mattresses, old cabinets, assorted boxes, plastic & aluminum debri, and old patio furniture. Junk Pros had a coupon discount deal in a local "Your Town" monthly advertising circular. Checked out their website ( www.junkpros.com ) and saw good reviews on Yelp.... I called on a Monday & arranged for an estimate for 11 am on a Wed morning. The two man truck crew called about 10 am to ask if it was OK to arrive early at 10:30, and they arrived on time in their red clearly marked Junk Pros truck - wearing red Junk Pros polo shirts. I got a fair discounted price for nearly filling their truck, and an hour of nonstop labor by two hard working & polite young guys. They swept up when they were done, and also took a box of e-waste off my hands at no added charge. They mentioned returning customers will get a 10% discount. The company left me v-mail the following day saying thanks for our business, and asking for callbacks if we had any comments on how the job went. Worst experience ever! Zero stars all the way. Super disappointed. Chose this company based on their wonderful Yelp and Angie's List reviews (will also be leaving Angie's List review). I told them when I made the appointment that I had a large pile of junk in my garage, but for some reason they sent guys (totally late) with half a truck full. They couldn't take all the stuff in one load so they had to return next day (late again). Took a simple job and turned it into an ordeal. This whole process should have been super easy instead it took two days and was nothing but problems. They charged me 3/4 truck load when they came with 1/2 a truck full. They said that there must have been some misunderstanding with the first day crew and the previous customer was charged 1/4 a truck so I had to pay for the rest?!? "before she agreed to pay, she asked our employees if they could unload the furniture in front of SOMEONE ELSE'S UNIT so that they could be charged instead of her?!" -where did that come from? You must be talking about another unhappy customer. I dare you to say that in front of the 2 gentlemen who helped me. But then again, you might also use your threatening tactics against them and who wants to lose their jobs in these trying times? You are very lucky to have people like them working for you. Your company success is due to these field workers who do their best at their jobs, customer service-wise and efficiency at its best. And you use them for your own purpose claiming that a customer told them something which is TOTALLY untrue? It is really sad that the LEADER is not made of the same fabric. You are delusional! 2. "I then offered to give her $60 off for our mistake and she refused and wanted the entire amount." -another figment of your imagination. I would have been very happy and appreciative IF THERE WAS SUCH AN OFFER, but you know this is a blatant lie. 3. "We offered to unload the $138 worth of debris...Would you like to pay the balance or would you like us to unload some items?" - If anyone were asked this question, what is the most LOGICAL response? And then again folks, he has just incriminated himself by acknowledging that he HARRASSED AND THREATENED ME. 4. "customer refused to pay the balance because it was our mistake" -I DID NOT refuse to pay the $139. I asked to be billed but you flatly rejected me. Perhaps you have been burned before and so now you put every customer in a certain "category"? With a FICO of "8", why would I or anyone for that matter jeopardize that? Junk Pros was the best! I've always been hesitant to have someone come haul my stuff away; partly because I never have it organized enough to where I would feel comfortable having someone come get it, and partly because I looked at the task of getting rid of my crap as my responsibility -- and that of the poor truck owner from whom I would have to borrow from. I'm glad to say that my wife insisted that we hire Junk Pros to take care of hauling our stuff. They gave us a quote over the phone, and didn't try to increase it on-site. Vincent Jimenez and Brandon Smith came out in 100 degree heat and politely spent their afternoon taking trash, bikes, our spa, broken ladders, a bed frame and all kinds of junk that no one wants in his backyard. They didn't leave until we were completely satisfied with the job that was done; as a matter of fact, they even CLEANED UP before they left. There wasn't a spec of dust left in the driveway or anywhere on our patio where the spa used to be. A job well done, and we will definitely use them again! I remembered seeing one of their trucks on the freeway and was happy to see from the website that, of what they are called upon to haul away, they will re-cycle and donate whatever possible. As a merged household, our stuff was in really good shape so I wasn't going to dump it in a landfill. Trying to contact the charitable organizations was an unsucessful time consuming experience. So leave it to Hubby to call in the superheros - Junk Pros. We were so impressed with the professionalism, timeliness, and work ethic of the pickup staff that I had to Yelp about. We were reassured that the donatable furniture, clothing, beds, electronics, appliances, etc would make their way to the proper organizations/re-cycle centers. What we thought would be a 1/3 truck load turned out to be a FULL one! We even got a courtesy call after the pickup staff left just to see if our experience was satisfactory. Junk Pros called me, and explained how they price things. Apparently it is not a "flat rate per cu yard", so the more they haul, the less expensive the load on a per-cu yd basis. I had not been told about that, and when the guy gave me the estimate, he did not explain that, either. Hence my disillusion when I found the price to be higher than I would have expected. So, I did recommend that they either post the pricing online, or post something online on their site to indicate that the price is on a sliding scale, with the cost per cu yard going down as the volume increases. Apparently this is a very competitive business so they did not want to post their prices, fearing their competitors would simply try to undercut them as a result. I can understand that. And as I had explained, the SERVICE was excellent. I just drop the one star because they should have explained the pricing at some point in time. read more

I can not say enough good things about this company. The guys who came to throw away my junk were a lot more professional looking than you could ever expect from a junk hauling place. They were wearing nice red polo shirts with the company name & logo which impressed me right off the bat. I called 5 or 6 different companies in my area and Junk Pros was by far the lowest priced for my job (old furniture, bags of misc. junk, some old bikes.) The same day I called to get a quote they came out and got the stuff hauled away in 15 mins. A huge plus for me is that they are eco friendly.
