I've ordered bins from Junk King maybe half a dozen times over the past 5+ years. We get one almost every year. I like the convenience of being able to order my bin online because it's a big time saver. Most of the time we've just disposed of standard waste (old wood, general recyclables, drywall, metal fencing, small pieces of junky furniture, etc.). A few times we have included yard waste and a small amount of e-waste. I've never had an issue with anything being rejected. I believe the fine print says that if you have any non-standard items they'll bill a surcharge to manage it. Sometimes I'm surprised at the high price I end up being billed, but it's a risk I take considering they don't inventory everything ahead of time. Not sure that is entirely possible anyway. 90% of the time the bins arrive in really great condition and they place them exactly where we've asked. We had an issue just one time with a door that wouldn't latch easily, but the driver figured it out. The bins have arrived on-site and been picked up as scheduled. They also say they sort everything rather than just landfilling it, which is important to me. I'll keep using Junk King. read more

The crew showed up 1 hour after the appointment window and I was unfortunately unavailable. 2nd attempt was a no show and they rescheduled at the last minute. 3rd time the crew called and showed up within the window. They were quick and friendly. They even indicated they can potentially donate my goods instead of junking it. read more

Have you ever purchased a product or service and initially been satisfied with it only to feel disappointed as time passes? This is how we feel about Junk King. We got two quotes from different companies. One was slightly less than Junk King. We chose JK because the rep promised they would take everything and help move some of our sale items to the barn. When they arrived, a "senior" staff member (driving the truck) was unhappy that his GManager quoted us a certain price and promised services that the staff didn't normally provide. The driver gave us a different estimate. We understood the drivers' complaints but felt they should have been directed toward his GM - not us. We were sympathetic and compromised but in the end, they took only about half of what was promised in the original quote. They did get items down that were stored in our garage rafters, which was not something they wouldn't normally do, so I gave all 4 workers a cash tip. (Lots of $$$ in addition to the bill). Apparently new GM and staff are at odds and if I had it to do over, I would have gone with the other company. read more

Set up an appointment because I had yard waste that needed removal and website indicates that this is a core service. Set up an on-site visit four days in advance. Get a phone call three hours before the appointment to let me know that my yard waste isn't a service this location offers... after rearranging a schedule to be present for the appointment. I called what appeared to be a local phone number, scheduled pickup of a brush pile. Yard waste was first item on list of stuff they haul away. Driver calls me when he's on the way, asks what he's picking up, then tells me, "I don't do yard waste, call a landscaper." I say that yard waste is #1 item on the list. He says, "Dispatcher is in California, I'm a local company." Dealing with them ended up being a complete waste of time. I called another company and the first thing I asked was if I was talking to the local office since I had learned my lesson. read more

I was really impressed by the ease and excellent customer service I experienced when ordering a dumpster. In fact, it came that same day. What I am disappointed about, however, is that I requested an afternoon (after 4pm) pickup which was okayed by the staff. The dumpster was taken at 11:50am while my contractor was in the middle of disposing of windows. I was told I would be called by the manager which never happened. I've subbed out a couple Jobs to Junk King Worcester county for cleanout work. heard no complaints from my clients. they said that the construction sites were left clean, with no debris left behind. Couldn't be happier! in the times I asked, they were even able to get out there the same day or next day. The absolute worst there is. They get you to book an appointment stating they will work with your estimates then go by pics you have to send the day of the appointment and shockingly there double the price as anyone else. Complete waste of my time. I work for a global company and would never treat nor mis-lead a customer in such a manner. My network is vast and I will be sure to spread the word for sure. Before they arrived for my appointment, they called and said they would be an hour and a half late at best. Then the driver asked me what I had for them to pick up. It was about 10 items and I told him what they were. Without seeing it he said it would cost 448 dollars plus fees for items like televisions. We were talking close to 500 dollars. I then told him not to come to my home. I started calling other trash haulers who all quoted me much lower prices. 3 of 4 of them were under 300 dollars. I finally had one hauler who quoted me 200 dollars came the next day and hauled it all away for that amount. To say Junk King is overpriced would be an understatement. Do your self a favor and call local companies and compare their prices. I am sure you will use one of them and save your self a lot of money. read more

Call junk king for a large project in Worcester MA. Your call is handled by call center in California so you are not dealing with local franchise initially. Since project was large with heavy metal cabinets and such I sent photos. Call center after reviewing photos I sent said project was not a problem and confirmed via email pick up window of the junk a few days later. on established date no one from junk king showed up to job site. after numerous calls call center established a next day pick up. again no one from junk king showed up. Day two of numerous calls with call center local franchise contacted me. local franchise did not see photos previously sent to call cente. I send photos to local franchise whose driver states this is a big job and will not be able to be completed in one day but could dock over a week. to add insult to injury quote was almost $900 per truck load. beyond frustrated at this point junk kink was a waste of my time. local franchise stated they have lots of issues with call center and lock of communication is at the top of the issues. junk link failed big time read more

I have used Junk King twice now. My first experience was actually good - they removed a 90" reclining sofa and 78" reclining love seat and the price was $198. We used them again today to remove just a 90" reclining sofa. Today's price was $308. My husband was here and had no idea of the previous price so said okay take it away. When I heard the price I was confused and upset. When I called their office and spoke to one of the customer service reps he explained that they came to give an estimate and my husband approved it so we were charged. He would not and could not explain why the price was literally more than double. Based on this alone I would not recommend or use them again. Buyer beware of this company. read more

I chose them because they advertised that they were environmentally friendly. That's a lie. They were nice but they just threw everything in the truck and said their next stop was the dump. They destroyed a treadmill, a coffee table and other items that should not have gone to the dump. read more

I have used Junk King twice and each time I have been so impressed. My phone calls are returned quickly. Their prices are fair. Omar is the best. I recently had to empty out a rental home. Omar and his co worker were hired for 1 hour to lift the heavy items. Could not have done this without them. The entire company is professional, competent and really well organized. Did not have a great experience. While I appreciated the quote via text, things went quickly downhill. Came 30 minutes before the appointment window causing me to have to step out of a meeting, only come to find they were at the wrong, commercial address as opposed to my indicated residential address (have never had this issue before with any of my guests or service professionals as my residence is clearly labeled). I find it unprofessional that they did not double check the house number or cross referenced the photo I sent before calling. After giving my CC info 3 times, I was told the CC system was down, and also was told a manager would call right away. He did and at this point a charge had went through. I did provide the feedback regarding my experience to which he said he was not blaming me, but it is typically expected if I were not home that I would have more flexibility and that a little before or after the appointment window didn't normally matter. That would not have been a problem if I did not have in our text messages a two hour time slot; if I was told three or even four hours I would have made arrangements. All in all, I lost 30+ minutes of work today. I absolutely should have paid the $15 more for the 1-800-GOTJUNK service and will certainly go with a more reputable and/or empathetic company next time. read more

Do not do business with this company They told me they would come and take 1/8th of a dump truck, or about 1.5 standard dump truck bed loads. They came a took ONE CHAIR and said that was all I paid for.....that's what I get for $80.00?? Seriously, stay away from them or you will get ripped off just like I did. read more

The day, 5/7/19, they show up, they up the price to $628 and didn't even take half of the stuff in the basement. Very quick turn around time from initial request to service performed. Highly responsive customer service directly from owner. Had an old wooden large play set that had to be broken down and removed. A day later, it was gone and the cleanup was excellent. I plan on using this service again on an as needed basis due to the reliability and on-time work request completed to my personal satisfaction. While this company came and took away a bunch of construction debris on relatively short notice, the terrible customer service was not worth the convenience. There was a small billing discrepancy over an Angie's List coupon. When I called to schedule the pick up, I was told that i had a coupon on file. Junk King charged me accordingly at the time of service. Then later, they said they needed the coupon code. When it took me a few days to find it, Tom started sending me nasty text messages and calling at odd hours. It was very unprofessional. read more
