Michael and his helper came out the same day I called (actually within 4 hours of calling). I had a hard time explaining the load over the phone so Michael came out to quote the job. If I didn't like the quote there was no fee and no hard feelings. Pricing was within my budget which was unexpected given the quality of their work. What took me all day to put out in my driveway was gone in 15 minutes! They swept before they left and were very polite while at the house. I was in a bind. Our move out date was coming fast and Dumpster rental was either way too small or way too expensive. I found Junk Kings online...actually I think my wife did. They came out and have me an estimate before they started. Then they lived up junk of all varieties from.heavy unused furniture to trash bags and everything in between. The guts worked their butts off. They were also really cool and I enjoyed chatting with them as they worked. Two really, really nice guys. While I understand their business model, I don't like that they don't ask what you're trying to get rid of prior to their arrival. I had nothing but cardboard, and they wanted to charge me for a half-truck...nearly $350 for cardboard???? It's easily compressed to less than a half-truckload. Disappointed they want to charge flat-rate regardless of what it is you're disposing of. My cardboard could have been reduced to less than a quarter truck. But, once they arrive, they go over the cost sheet...not the best model. They should ask prior to arrival. Just be aware that they will make estimates that don't make sense. Be willing to challenge their assessment. The team who arrives to do the work are excellent, my issue is with the overall model. read more

They were on time and upon seeing the cardboard and wood we needed hauled away out of our shed, they quoted $280. We agreed and they started work. When it was time for payment, they increased the amount to $340, explaining that there was more material than they thought. Upon this realization on their end, they made no effort to discuss this with us prior to finishing the load. We ended up paying $320, but we found they handled the situation unprofessionally and I wouldn't recommend their business. read more
