Junk King is not only a great deal, they are honorable! They showed up to do a big office junk removal. The onsite supervisor (Scott) made a tremendous difference. It was like watching a coach of a little league team. He was constantly guiding them on how to protect the walls and carpeting. He kept tabs on them to keep them moving. When I say "them," I mean there was a crew of 7 movers and they finished the job in six hours and it could easily have extended into another day, but due to building restrictions we would not have use of the elevator the next day. He divided the team and pushed them to work smarter and faster. What was very obvious is how he kept moving people around so they could all take a short break to catch their breath. I appreciated that he showed them the same respect he showed us. The invoice upon completion was not what I was quoted so after speaking with the Junk King office about it, they immediately made it right. They didn't make me jump through hoops or beg, they honored their word. If you want to work with honest, hard working people, call Junk King! After a bit of miscommunication, Junk King Seattle showed up about an hour after the scheduled time. Miscommunication in that drivers will call a customer to verify locations. But, if I see no caller ID, I refuse to answer the phone. To many scammers and hackers out there. Once at the apartment, the freezer was removed with very little effort by a worker. I was amazed at how quickly he slid the large hand truck under the front edge of the freezer, tilted towards him and scooted right out the door. Junk King is not only affordable, they are hands down one of the best companies for customer service I've worked with in a long time. They are beyond helpful, no hard sales, very good at only selling you what you need and keeping you informed on your "Junk" situation. Everyone, from the customer service reps on the phone, to every driver I've worked with has been impeccable. You can tell that they are well trained and equipped to do their jobs. You always want to be aware of the age old "You get what you pay for" when you get a killer deal but Junk King really isn't too good to be true. They give you a 4 hour delivery/pick up window BUT they call with about 20 minutes ETA. The drivers have been a pleasure to work with. They will be our go-to for any other dumpster needs we may have in the future. We were moving commercial locations, they took busted out refrigerators for only a small fee, whereas Waste Management was going to charge 5x the price to pick up the broken things, don't let people fool you that disposing of appliances or Freon containing items are out of your price range. read more

They try to get as much money from you as possible. If you hire these people be ready to dicker over price. They wanted $288(!) for a load that I carried in my Honda Fit. I made a boo boo face and they went down to $208. I was just too exhausted to deal anymore. I left work early to accommodate their schedule, and they didn't show up or answer a text. I had to call their office to make sure they were even coming. I feel taken advantage of.... I wonder if the scheduling nonsense was to wear me out? I don't know. Do not hire JUNK KING if you are concerned about a company following WA state COVID precautions and guidelines. Two workers came to haul away a bed for my mom at an assisted living facility. One worker refused to where a mask for medical and religious reasons. He refused to provide documentation. The assisted living facility did not allow the worker in . . . and rightfully so. The employee persisted to be allowed in, but eventually complied with the request. The other worker used a mask provided by the facility. So we were down one worker to move an extremely heavy senior bed. An employee at the assisted living place had to help. JUNK KING put both their customers and a medical facility on the spot and could have endangered countless vulnerable seniors. I called their customer service to complain twice, and they did not seem too concerned and were unapologetic. I find the experience contrary to what they advertise about COVID safety on their website. read more

I texted a representative a few month ago, and in detail described I have 2 set of sofa needs to be removed. I got a quote, pretty fair price. Finally, we got our new sofa coming, I scheduled the removal date, and sent photos of my sofas. The team came, asked me to show them what need to be removed, and they give me a new estimate for the job, which is 40% higher than last quote I got. So if I donate to good will, they will come and pick up for free, however, I believe I made a mistake to call Junk King to do a removal. Especially they raised the price a lot! The job was ok, however, they forgot to remove 2 seat backs from my office room, I had to run out before they drove away, to tell them to take the rests with them. Phew, lucky me checked on the job at once. Well, I properly will not use them anymore. Even through they do scheduling good, and removal job was OK besides the fee was not reasonable. read more

After my brother in law sold his house, there was "junk" that needed to be removed from several areas including upstairs attic, basement and garage. Some of it was heavy furniture and in good shape, just no longer needed. Junk King gave a phone estimate and the truck and Junk Removal Specialists [JRS] arrived on time. It turned out that we had not given a very good phone estimate of the amount of "junk" and they had to return the next day with two trucks and four JRS. The new quote was for $1,750 based on a walk thru. They wanted to salvage the good stuff by taking it to Good Will or a resale organization, those items would be put in one truck, the "junk" in the other. They arrived on time and worked fast. Clean trucks and uniformed JRS. It was difficult getting some of the heavier pieces out of the house but they did it. When finished, they lowered the price to $1,250 based on the volume and effort. Very impressive, they did not have to do that since we were ready to pay the higher number. Good value and an honest company. Recommend them. read more

DO NOT HIRE. My expectations for working with a company that charges $1,000.00 for a junk removal was pretty high cause that's a lot of money and yeah i get it, we had a lot to remove. On the day of the removal, i was given a two hour window from 8-10am for the crew to come so i decided to wait to go into work. I received a call close to 9 saying that they were "20 minutes" away. After waiting almost an hour since that phone call, I had to call them to see where they were at. When the guys got here, i was already annoyed because they could have done a courtesy call to let me know they were not 20 minutes away. Unfortunately i did not get to stay and watch the crew as i was running late to work but so wished that i did. They left my big side fence opened for everyone to have access into my yard which they could have easily told my roommate they were done so she could lock up as they had asked her to open it and they didnt even take all the things they agreed to. I sent a formal complaint to cooperate to work something out and guess what??? I have NOT HEARD BACK. Oh, but when it came time to take my payment, they were quick to call me. Great service from these guys: Anton, Jon and Marky. I had a window from 9 to 11 and they were responsible enough to let me know they would be a little late. They arrived at 11:15 am. The three young men looked over everything in the garage they were to take. It took some thinking because the junk ranged in size from tools to tool cabinets, and some things were awkwardly shaped, so I was pleased to see that they planned their work before starting. They were very polite when they asked questions, and I appreciate that they asked to make sure before taking something that wasn't supposed to go. No show. No call. No good. I was set up with a 2-hour window (11am to 1pm) to have someone come out and give me a quote for junk removal. At 3:30pm the driver finally called to ask if he could still stop by. I told him absolutely not. He apologized for the delay and mumbled something about being really busy and bad traffic and such. This is the Seattle area. You can't use "bad traffic" as an excuse. There's ALWAYS bad traffic. The only reason this is two stars (instead of one) is that the owner of the company called me to personally apologize. It was a classy move -- so bonus point for that one. Still, wasting two hours of my time by not calling before the end of the appointment window was a dealbreaker for me. read more
