College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving - Seattle

I cannot say enough good things about Xiavia and Robert from College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving…read more These two were absolutely INCREDIBLE, and I genuinely hope management recognizes just how lucky they are to have them on their team. Our move was anything but easy. We ran into some extremely frustrating elevator issues and difficult circumstances that made an already stressful moving day significantly harder. But through ALL of it, Xiavia and Robert never once lost their positive attitudes. They were upbeat, professional, patient, hardworking, and willing to do whatever it took to get the job done. And let me tell you, we have some HEAVY furniture. These guys are STRONG. Seriously, I don't know how they managed some of the things they moved, especially given the conditions they were working under. They handled everything like absolute champs and never made us feel like we were asking too much. What impressed me most wasn't just their strength or work ethic, but their attitudes. Even when things were going wrong around them, they stayed positive, helpful, and genuinely kind. They turned what could have been an absolute nightmare of a moving day into a much better experience. If College HUNKS has an A-Team, Xiavia and Robert better be on it. These are exactly the kind of employees every company should want representing their business. They went above and beyond, and I truly hope they get the recognition they deserve. If you're booking a move, REQUEST THESE TWO BY NAME. I would recommend Xiavia and Robert a hundred times over.

I can't believe I paid $1,600 for a half done job that required me to do it myself, inconvenience…read moremy friends for help, and have my fiance clock off work early....all because the mover tampered with the elevator. The job didn't even get finished, I had to call 5 friends to help me and the job was finally finished around 10 pm that day (started at 8am for a 1 bedroom apartment move). The elevator was having issues while unloading the truck into the new apartment. Rather than wait for the repairman to help, one of the movers named MARK decided to put his hands inside the track of the elevator and start wiggling parts to fix it. This obviously caused more damage beyond the building repairman's ability and left the entire building with no elevator access for hours until an elevator technician could resolve the issue. The building repairman advised that he fixes the elevators for basic repairs and could have fixed the elevator within minutes if Mark hadn't tampered with it causing damage outside of his scope. I can go on about how horrible Mark was but I'll keep it short with a bulleted list. -damaged the elevator to the point where it ruined the rest of the move -didn't have proper tools to take a tv mount off the wall (it needed a simple ratchet) -too much chatting, not enough working -would carry one thing at a time or stand around doing nothing/chatting often -left early to go to a birthday party before the job was done and AFTER breaking the elevator (this is ridiculous) -left his jacket and door jams at the old apartment after moving -when asked why he messed with the elevator he said "because he works on cars in his spare time" -had to be reminded by me multiple times to grab boxes and keep on task I feel it's necessary to mention that Joey and mitch were great, especially Joey who seemed fed up with Marks incompetence as well. I want to be very clear that Joey and Mitch were wonderful but Mark is the reason why I will tell everyone I know about how horrible this experience was. I'm never using this service again. Joey mentioned that moving everything from the truck to the new apartment would take about 1 hour to complete. Due to Mark damaging the elevator, that 1 hour turned into 8-9 hours before the job was completed. I deserve my money back.

Junk King is not only affordable, they are hands down one of the best companies for customer…read moreservice I've worked with in a long time. They are beyond helpful, no hard sales, very good at only selling you what you need and keeping you informed on your "Junk" situation. Everyone, from the customer service reps on the phone, to every driver I've worked with has been impeccable. You can tell that they are well trained and equipped to do their jobs. You always want to be aware of the age old "You get what you pay for" when you get a killer deal but Junk King really isn't too good to be true. They give you a 4 hour delivery/pick up window BUT they call with about 20 minutes ETA. The drivers have been a pleasure to work with. They will be our go-to for any other dumpster needs we may have in the future. We were moving commercial locations, they took busted out refrigerators for only a small fee, whereas Waste Management was going to charge 5x the price to pick up the broken things, don't let people fool you that disposing of appliances or Freon containing items are out of your price range.

Junk King is not only a great deal, they are honorable! They showed up to do a big office junk…read moreremoval. The onsite supervisor (Scott) made a tremendous difference. It was like watching a coach of a little league team. He was constantly guiding them on how to protect the walls and carpeting. He kept tabs on them to keep them moving. When I say "them," I mean there was a crew of 7 movers and they finished the job in six hours and it could easily have extended into another day, but due to building restrictions we would not have use of the elevator the next day. He divided the team and pushed them to work smarter and faster. What was very obvious is how he kept moving people around so they could all take a short break to catch their breath. I appreciated that he showed them the same respect he showed us. The invoice upon completion was not what I was quoted so after speaking with the Junk King office about it, they immediately made it right. They didn't make me jump through hoops or beg, they honored their word. If you want to work with honest, hard working people, call Junk King! I refer them to everyone I know and I plan to use them on a personal project. They deserve 10 stars, but I am with the majority of the reviewers...I will be using them again 100%!

This isn't about this station per se but the company as a whole!!!…read more We were missing a recycling bin for 3-4 weeks. Called WM and they "assured" us it would be delivered within a week. Never happened weeks went by; multiple phone calls nothing. But rude and inconsistent customer support. Bottom line just because we are the little guys in a monopoly system we have choices. WM clearly didn't care that their third-party vendor was failing. Big business should hold the power without the client they are nothing!!! No jumping to Can Do and drip on them!!!

I happened to lose my direction driving to MCS Recycling which has almost an exact street address as Eastmont Transfer Station but at opposite end; "W" instead of "E" street designator (7201 E Marginal Way). Upon driving to this station, I parked then walked up the ramp to knock on the office for verification & help. There was a young lady working in the office and her name is Savanna. Upon learning of my problems of having a malfunctioned phone/GPS using Waze for direction, Savanna quickly showed me the directions to get to MCS Recycling. Just to make sure I would not forget her instructions, Savanna also printed out a paper copy for me to take with me! She helped me regardless of whether I was a customer of her business or not! I can't say enough good things about Savanna but wanted to share to the public of how nice Savanna was to me and it says great thing about Eastmont Transfer Station management regarding the quality and attitude of the people that they hired to represent them days in days out! Thank you Savanna & Eastmont Transfer Station management for your very kind help!! Skip
