Junk King of Roselle, IL did a GREAT Job! The guys worked together and went to work the minute they had the truck in the driveway. It was a hot day and very humid, but that didn't stop them - you would think it was a cool crisp fall day as they took out three pieces of heavy furniture and then a mountain of contractor garbage bags. I couldn't be more pleased with the work, the price and the humor! 7/26/2014 I'd give no stars if possible. Bait and switch ruse. Horrible service. Rude employees . I booked online a Saturday appt , the earliest possible 'window' 8 to 10 am. Also online, using THEIR pricing estimator , I received an estimate of $69 - $100 for a sofa, chair, tv and coffee table( I used a leather ottoman for this) . I was up by 7am, and told my doorman, that they were arriving by 10 am as the buildings parking is limited. At 10am, I called the company wondering IF and WHEN they were going to show up as the window had expired. I was told by a nice girl that she would have someone call me back with an ETA. 30 minutes later! a man called me back stating the truck was on its way. I told him it's now 30 mins outside of the window and he blamed traffic. ( of course- the catchall excuse) They showed at approx 1045 . A blonde man, who was the driver, told me that the boss was supposed to have called me at 930 am to let me know they were running late. I told him I received no call. He said traffic was bad- (really ? Saturday morning?) To make matters worse, the other man joked he was asleep when the blonde was yelling at him to get out of the truck. Very unprofessional. I had given the chair away, so had the only TV, sofa and leather ottoman to be removed. The blonde man gives me an estimate of $125! I told him I received a lower estimate online for more items. He literally argued that the TV alone is $75 . I told him sorry, no way. I picked these items from THEIR list on THEIR online pricing estimator. And you are late!!! I was incredulous that after bring 45 minutes late out of the earliest possible pickup time, with fewer items, the estimate is higher!!! Total Bait and switch! Beware! When I told them forget it, the blonde man was rude and very unhappy to have not gotten the job. I basically showed them the door - the whole time time , he was running his mouth. DO not use- bait and switch !!!!! Not on schedule with rude, unprofessional employees ! Go elsewhere! read more

Its too bad I did not get the name of the movers. They came 15 mins earlier than scheduled, called ahead of time and they were gone before my actual appointment time at 9am. I have to be honest. Even though Junk King gave me lowest quote (AND a $30 discount). I still called around to see if i could get an even lower price. I only had a mattress/box spring and love seat to trash. I had already paid LL Elf Services to move the items and he never came back leaving me to shell out MORE money just for 3 items he left behind. I actually got a lower quote the morning of my appointment with Sergio from Junk Removal. And I honestly told them if they could not match the lower price I got from Sergio, then I would have to cancel. They accepted my lower quote and came and still did the job professionally and quickly. I have never used Junk removal service before and was surprised at the prices I got just for 3 items ($165, $138, $125). However Junk King, I would highly recommend. I feel so relieved to have the stuff out of my house and I appreciate them shaking my hand when they walked up to my door. Very nice people. Will hire them when it's time to move out!!!!!! The Junk King guys just left and I could not be happier. They hauled away an old hot tub and the price was so reasonable that I ended up having them haul away a bunch of other junk that had been cluttering the house for years. My only regret is that I did not call these guys sooner. Very friendly and careful not to damage anything in the house as the junk was hauled away. Very willing to haul away anything that I asked. I thought their pricing was exceptionally good. I probably should not have given them 5 stars since they were a little bit late, but they called to let me know ahead of time. We just had them remove a sofa, loveseat and recliner from our home. My husband received pricing of $175 over the phone. He told them he was going to book the appointment online to receive the $30 online appt. discount. The representative told him they would go ahead and make the appt over the phone and give us the $30 off, so our price would be $145. The guys came to our house, and told my husband that it would be $215. He told them the price he was given, and they said that price was just an estimate. After they argued with him for a while and he wouldn't agree to pay more, one of the guys went out to his truck to make a phone call. Ten minutes later, he came back and said he would make him a deal and only charge $175. My husband told him that he was only paying the $145 and was going to call the office to speak to a manager. As soon as he said he was going to call the office, they said they would go ahead and take the furniture for $145. The guy then wrote our credit card information down. He said they have to bring that information back to the office for payment processing because they don't have card readers with them. It is against PCI Rules for them to write down credit card information. If they are unable to take payment there, they should have called in the information for it to be processed directly over the phone. Now I have to call the credit card company as well to cancel that card and get a new card with a new number. I'm not about to have my information floating around with 2 guys who tried to scam us into paying more money from the beginning. I would not recommend using this company. read more

I would give zero stars if it were an option. I called on Sunday to get an estimate about moving furniture out on Monday so that I could get new furniture in on Tuesday. When I called the lady on the phone gave me a price of $175 for a sofa, loveseat, and chair. I told her thanks and I would book online if I decided to go with them because there was a $30 discount online. She said she would honor that if I booked with her so I did. I received a confirmation e-mail that they would come between 11 and 1 on Monday. 1:00 came and no one showed up or called. I called the number on the confirmation e-mail and they said they would have someone call. I waited 20 minutes then called again. They again said they would look into it and have someone call. This time they called back and told me the truck was on its way. This is when it went from bad to awful. The man showed up and I showed him what I wanted removed. He immediately says with a rude attitude $275. I very calmly and politely explained to him that I had already gotten a price from the company and I have the confirmation e-mail. Rudely again he just says nope $275. At this point I call the company directly and explain the situation as I am doing this he began to try and negotiate a price with me. The company asked to speak directly to the driver so I handed him the phone. He was rude to that person also. When I took the phone back the person from headquarters told me not to worry that this would be taken care of. While I was still on the phone with headquarters the driver tells me his final offer is $210 I either take it now or he leaves. I told headquarters what he said and they asked me to put him on the phone again. This time the driver refused to take the phone. Headquarters asked me to tell him not to leave until he talks to his boss. He laughed at me and said "What you going to do arrest me". He left I explained to headquarters what happened and she said she was going to hang up and call me back to let me know how this would be taken care of. I never got a call back. I called and left several messages. An hour later I receive an e-mail from them with another estimate for $245. What a joke!!!!!!! I have never dealt with someone so rude in my life. Terrible business. I understand that corporate can't totally control all their employees or franchises but keep your word and call me back. If the person made a mistake by giving me the wrong estimate on Sunday then explain that. AWFUL experience. read more
