I seldom write 2 star reviews here...Had a far better experience with the Junk King-Torrance in 2021. I gave JK Torrance 4 stars last year as they had hauled away a lot of my stuff for a fair price. Anyway, Junk King-Long Beach did my annual hauling. I understand inflation. At the same time, it's kinda as if visiting automechanics and you just want to get it done and just pay. (No offense to the autoshop I go to. They rock 5 stars.) I needed to declutter the space and so I had them take away stuff which was expensive even with the so-called Back to School Coupon. Just did their text message survey and replied with a 6 out of 10. There are many Junk haulers here on yelp. I actually just bookmarked a competing business for future potential use. This Long Beach hauler only has 4 other reviews. Be informed and caution if you choose this one. Happy cleaning though! read more

Easy. Texted the number on their site. They scheduled everything for the next day, and texted me upon arrival. Gave me a fair quote when they arrived and 10 minutes later everything was gone. Michael was very communicative and helpful. read more

This was probably the worst experience I have ever had with any company. Chose ANY other junk delivery option please! Even if this seems like the cheapest option, they will charge you extra fees in the end. The delivery was a day late, which was fine at first because they said they would give us a discount, and then also the pickup was 2 days late. I am understanding of being understaffed, and probably would not be upset if they actually followed through on the discount they said they would give us for the inconvenience. I would have even been ok without receiving the discount and just some form of apology instead. They ended up charging us an ADDITIONAL $340 though. So they not only didn't follow through on their discount for the late drop off, they charged us an extra "overweight charge," probably because we had people dropping off trash of their own in the dumpster because the pickup was 2 days late. I have been disputing the charges for 2 days now, and all they do is hang up, or transfer you to someone else and never get back to you. I would hate for anyone else to go through the frustration I have now, so please do yourself a favor and go with another company! This is a waste of time and money! read more

If I could leave no stars I would. Waited for 1 hour and 50 minutes during my two hour window time of 10am to 12pm, no one called, no one showed. I called the office only to be disconnected during the transfer, had to call back to only be told someone would be calling me very shortly they were running late. Someone called at 12:21pm to tell me they were on their way. Worst customer service experience and I have some bad ones. Also the person who called to tell me he was on his way gave me an attitude for being upset. Sorry a company should have a bit more respect for their paying customers time. A two hour window should mean a two hour window, and if you are going to be running late then call the customer to let them know. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The most unprofessional communication and interaction, they were late to the delivery and were SO difficult to get a hold of so I had no idea if they were ever going to come. they apologized and said they would give us a discount, but instead they charged us EXTRA and didn't give us any discount at all. The pickup was 2 days late too so we had strangers dumping their trash into the dumpster too. DO NOT use this company they will SCAM you! Trying to dispute the charges now for a couple days and still nothing, they just keeping hanging up on us instead. read more

Second time I've used them - team out of Whittier, I believe. Today's workers were Andre and Elijah Barajas. Absolutely fabulous. Professional, friendly, great ideas, great price, hard working, helpful, would totally use them again and recommend them to anyone! My husband called Junk King to get a quote for a dining table we had been keeping outside as well as a couple of outdoor wicker chairs. They quoted $198. I called 1-800-junk and they would not give me a solid estimate. They said something like this in my area would cost maybe $265. By those estimates, OF COURSE we would go with Junk King. We called yesterday and they came out today. They gave us a window of 12-2 and they arrived well within that time frame. Mike and Steve were super friendly and very hard working. The estimate they gave over the phone yesterday didn't change today. They hauled our stuff away very quickly (including an extra, tiny table we hadn't included, which was extremely kind). Mike gave me his card and on it is $30 off for the next haul! We will absolutely ONLY be using Junk King from now on. Thank you so much! read more

Exceptional communication skills and work ethic were just a few critical points of our experience with Junk King of Long Beach. From the initial phone call to the competent call center to the discussions with the schedulers, etc., they were professional. Michael specifically was very accommodating during the actual move, which was at the scheduled time. His team worked quickly to perform the tasks we requested. I scheduled an appointment on Monday for a Saturday drop off. I was initially told the drop would be made from 8 - 10 a.m. Saturday comes and no show by 10. Call the office to be told there is a four hour window. Still no show by 12:43 pm! Called the office a third time to be told there was some sort of mix up and the dumpster would be delivered by 2:30!! I receive a call at 1:50 pm by someone that works (drives) for another location to be told there will be no delivery because there is no driver to deliver the dumpster because the driver quit this morning!!! WTF! So now I'm SOL. Still no call from the office I scheduled the appointment with (Carson/Long Beach). Do not do business with this company. Totally unprofessional. If I could give a negative rating for this company I would. But I had to give at least one star to write this damn review. So pissed. Total waste of my day! read more
