Nothing on the website or my appointment confirmation email (that i could see) mentioned not taking a washer if i didn't disconnect it first myself. I don't know how to disconnect a washer and even if i could, how would I move it, and I told Jacob as much when i scheduled. He said it would not be an issue, but there i was with a non-working washer that my parents (who are growing older, which is why i wanted to utilize the services of Junk King in the first place) had to then help me move. I think the policies are unclear, the pricing is ridiculous considering the only appliance that was taken was the working item that could then be resold at a profit at MY expense, and the gentleman who assisted me (Steve) was very brusque. Polite, yes, but brusque and as a single woman, that's not always the kind of energy that is welcome in one's home. I was made to feel as though i was inconveniencing them because Jacob did not mention the washer/dryer removal on my ticket (that's not my fault, sorry!), they did not have the tools necessary to remove the washer, then they did not even remove the item i MOST needed taken away. It's insult to injury and salt in the wound. I have now found a removal service who will haul away items at a third of the cost of the Junk King (i paid $175 for the pleasure of having ONLY the dryer taken), and am happy to recommend to others that they contract with that service over Junk King as well. In the end, this was an expensive lesson, but i guess the Junk King sees a sucker and takes a lick! They did take the dryer and the gentlemen were polite, so three stars. Whole thing has been terrible. Arrived late and with a partially loaded truck. Left and were gone for a very long time. Filled the truck up. Charged three times the estimate. Came back a week later to finish the job. Showed up early this time. Loaded up and then dumped in my driveway because I was in a hospital and could not get the calls until I left there. Came the next day and wanted my payment before loading or REloading. Later that day I had fraudulent charges on my card. Don't use these people. read more

Beware. I regret doing business with this company! If you do use this company, request Steve. He was so very nice and professional. He did the job quickly and completely. Thank you Steve and crew. Also, if you use this company you will find that they are extremely disorganized on the business end. They will also overcharge you. When I called them, they came and gave me a quote estimating 4 guys for 4 hours for the demolition work I needed done. I was told the manager would immediately get in touch with me and send a written estimate quote. They did not call me back or send me a written quote. I called and scheduled again. Another man, Steve, from the same Junk King company came out and quoted half the price they'd given me before. He sent me a quote immediately for that lower price. Later that day, the manager, Dallas, called me and quoted me 200 less on the original higher bid saying the original bid was correct but he would give me a discount. $1300 for 4 guys 4 hours. I did agree verbally to this estimate. He said he would send me a written quote. He never did. Steve and his one other crew mate came out and did the entire job in two hours flat. 2 guys 2 hours. One full truck. I paid the full, higher priced, bill. Then I called the office to talk about possibly getting a partial refund. They were very rude and said I paid for the job not the time estimate. I could accept that if that was what was originally presented to me. It was not! If you use this company for light demolition you could pay @600 for one hour of labor. They will speak very disrespectfully to you and tell you that you are at fault and you misunderstood everything. They will not send a written estimate but will tell you that they did. They will not call you back for the job but will say they did but you did not take the call. It's frustrating when a company misrepresents itself then tries to make it your fault. Junk King did a fantastic and fast job removing my old hot tub. They were all very professional and courteous and did a great job removing everything left around and cleaning up my patio. They also moved a few items back to my patio. I highly recommend them. I got a quote from another company and they would have charged $150 extra. I don't know What we would have done if it wasn't for the Existence of this company. They exceeded our expectations in customer service, work ethic, cleanliness, and thoroughness. The job they did for us was 3 trucks full and a large shed tear down. We moved my in-laws out of a home and into another. They lived in this home for many years and with that there was so much to throw out. We were not a position to do the job but we did price a dumpster delivery and contemplated doing it ourselves. The price of the Junk King Service vs the dumpster was a few hundred more, but we would have had to hire labor to help us. Also, the removal of the junk in the shed and tear down was not factored into the dumpster price as they didn't offer this service. The Junk king crew did offer this service. They saved us about 2 weeks of work and saved us from sore muscles!!! On the day they Came to tear the shed down, it was sooo muddy in that area. I felt Teri me, but was so happy that it wasn't us doing the job. The owner's communication was on point. He stayed in constant communication with us and was very accommodating. The guys who worked the job - 4 of them, were absolutely wonderful! They were so polite and picked up all the little pieces left over. It was a hard job and we are so grateful that a service like this exists - specifically Junk King's in Dallas. Please give them a try. If you need to talk to the owner, just ask for him. read more

They asked me to review from a different link but it wouldn't log me into google. Super nice guys! Really pleasant to work with. Easy to coordinate and get ahold of. Reasonably priced. My only complaint is that they scuffed up the door frame carrying the couch out. Our moving company was able to move it in and also move in a bigger couch without scuffing the door frame, so I'm not sure what went wrong. I would rate 5/5 but we're probably going to get charged for the door frame damage since we live in an apartment complex. read more

My mother had to be put in a home quite suddenly and my siblings and I have had to get our childhood home on the market. We had a big job for them to do. They came with only one truck the first time and right away one of the employees seemed to be making excuses not to do the job. We decided to do the one truck and the following week once again they only brought one truck when they were told to bring two. The same employee seemed more concerned about having to do his job. The personnel were super nice and very efficient. After on-site visual inspection, I was given a quote for half a truck. I needed shelves in the garage cleared as well as a storage building and surrounding area cleared out of remains from estate sale. After two hours, I was informed that the truck would not hold any more. The garage shelves had not been touched. Was told that there was more in storage building than they estimated. I would need to schedule another appointment with additional charge to clear the garage. I needed this done so that I could start moving boxes from house to garage before listing my house for sale. I thought the initial price I was given was high, but I needed cleared. However, I am now stuck with clearing and hauling the remains of the garage somehow on my own as I cannot afford to pay for another haul. Terrible Service. I have used junk-king four times in the previous two months as we are preparing to move out of state. Twice they arrived on time and twice they did not show. 3-4 days earlier this week I had scheduled an appointment for today 11/02/22, 0700-0900. Junk-King did not show. After several phone calls they told that the general manager (Dallas) had informed his employees that I had rescheduled my appointment for 12:00. This is categorically untrue. We needed an early pick up because we have an 8 hour drive to the motel where we are spending the first night of our trip to our new home. The staff told me Dallas would call me. When I finally spoke with Dallas he told me all his phone calls went to voice mail and that was why it was several hours behind he contacted me. (There were no calls to my phone). Prior to the phone call from Dallas, I had spoken to two other employees asking why he hadn't called. (They stated Dallas was not answering his messages) Dallas told me he would be there between 12:30-1pm. I told him my neighbors would handle the finances because I was several hours from Allen. Dallas did not arrive until 2:20pm. I thought the price he quoted was outrageous but I had no choice but to accept it. No Discount. No Offer of an Apology. Of the four visits this one was by far the highest priced but certainly not the largest load. One would think that a general manager would be honest and ethical. They tried to charge me more than what I was quoted and I had less stuff that needed to picked up than was in the picture. They only have 1 size truck. My name is veronica am very disappointed with your company. I had an appointment set between the hours of 12pm and 2pm yesterday, Saturday March 7. A man by the name of nick called me at 11:04am (his cell is 972-8**-8498) wanting to know what I needed to be removed because he may be able to fit it on the truck now. I told him a washer, a small TV stand, and broken down moving boxes. he said he did not have the room so he would be over during the appointment time. He called back at 1:04pm and said he had another small job and he would be over when he finished. He never arrived. I called and left a message at 2:30 letting him know I had an appointment at three. He never called back. I called him again and he answered. He said he is the only truck running today and he was off of Harry Hines. Harry Hines Rd is about 30 minuted from me. I rescheduled my appointment to 4pm and told him he must be here by 3:30 because I had to leave. By 3:45 he still had not shown up so I left. When I get back later in the evening, there is a Junk King card thrown on my porch, the washer is gone, and all the boxes are strewn in the street! I am livid by the lack of professionalism. They fact that he took what he could get money for and left a mess in the street for me to clean is unacceptable!
