We are just coming out of COVID-19, and the good news is that these guys still had their masks on because they also needed them due to the stench. Walter and his crew were God send because they jumped right in without hesitation and cleared it all out! There was so much garbage outside, I'm not sure it would have all fit inside the home. They never complained; just went to work! The detail to their clean up was most impressive because they took away all the big stuff, but also took care of the little details too. Things like taking down the window coverings, pulling up the carpet, clearing out the kitchen cabinets, raking the outside dirt to get the bigger left over garbage, etc. It was a breath of fresh air (lieterally!) Inside and out. Beth, Walter's wife, is quiet, but I think she's the one who takes care of the finer details that go beyond the call of duty. As we start working on repairs for in the home and replacements, it will be a smaller job, but we will use this company again because this is clearly their specialty. Big or small.

There was a needless wall cutting off the space from the living room & a dropped ceiling with ugly florescent lighting, but no other structural reason for the dropped ceiling. We wanted to get rid of the wall & dropped ceiling & have a new ceiling in line with the rest of the living room. My husband toyed with the idea of doing it himself, but I was concerned with the electrical work (a switch needed to be moved from the eliminated wall, can lights & pendants installed). Several contractors never even returned our call asking for estimates; one came & gave a reasonable estimate, then called back & doubled his price. Paul came out, gave a reasonable estimate & said he could start the job the next week. He started demo work on Monday & the job was finished on Friday! And that included him bringing in other guys for drywall & finishing work on the new ceiling. We're going to finish off the work we can (painting & hanging new light fixtures) to save a little money, but we were thrilled with the work from Black Rock; would definitely call them again in the future!

When no one showed up I texted and got a text saying "we need to reach the technician". I texted twice about 4:00 asking for an update. I finally got a text at 6:51 PM saying "Sorry, but our technician left early for a graduation." That's it..... no solution, no offer of another time. Nothing. I have a tidy small place. My son passed away 18 months ago and although I clean and pick things up, since he passed away i haven't cleaned in my usual fashion (nooks & crannies). This meant a lot to me. I'm just sayig, DON'T expect good communication from this company. They don't answer the phone and tell you to text instead. I left a voicemail AND texted. It took 3 days to get a return message.
