Junk Genie is awesome. Keith got me all set with an appointment in a hurry because of a time crunch. Joey the driver was extremely personable. All the left overs from my parents home were hauled away and disposed of. I really appreciate the great service. I would highly recommend Junk Genie!!! read more

Fast and efficient. My mom saw an ad for them in the Tribune, I called in the early afternoon and our old sectional was gone by 4:30pm. There was even a coupon in the ad my mom saw and they let us keep it for a future haul. They were cheaper than Got Junk and I appreciated the coupon. I recommend! read more

Junk Genie - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me

The job was done in two days. First guys completed a pick up of old bed frames, boxes, and weight equipment. As first guys weren't equipped for demolishing a concrete sink, another appointment with owner was made. Second day, two of their guys demolished and carried away in less than an hour. Owner very courteous and reasonable ! I would recommend this company for any clean up job. Just one consideration: Pricing and work should be clarified and verified prior to appointment to reduce any surprises. I sent picture of items by email but somehow first employees weren't prepared for job. read more

DUDE. I called Junk Genie at 8:08 a.m. for a same-day pickup. Keith said he'd have a couple of guys out within an hour. "Yeah right," I thought. "I've heard that one before." It is 9 a.m. and my junk is gone. Javier and Jamie were fast, friendly, and thorough. I highly recommend Junk Genie and will use them again next time I have to demo out some of the questionable construction decisions made by my home's previous owners. read more

I would give them -5 if I could. They spent the morning jerkin me around and never showed up. One excuse after the other. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. Didn't return phone calls once they were late. Didn't answer the phone. Not worth the hassle. read more

These guys are awesome. I had a craigslist pickup and the person didn't show up. I was afraid of tossing the armoire in the alley and get a fine! It was my moving day and all junk pick up companies left me on hold, no empathy, just saying they were too busy. Keith (I think he's the owner), he was really helpful and nice! He sent one of his teams, even tho they were fully booked. The two guys that came were fast and awesome! I super recommend! read more

Superior communication and extremely easy to work with. I couldn't be happier with the service and fairness from Junk Genie from beginning to end. read more

The movers worked very hard but there were issues with the management. The movers were 4 hours late. We agreed to do the 1st and 2nd floor with the time left and finish the basement on Monday. Near the end of the day, the movers started moving the basement without telling me. They left piles of items on the 1st and 2nd floor that should have been moved first disrupting the house when they left. I had to push the movers to fill the first truck before going to the second truck. They also charged me twice the cost for the partial load in the second truck and told me they needed the rest of that truck for the next move (at 5 PM in the dark on Saturday?). The movers would not confirm coming back on Monday to finish the job. Update just now. Looks like the movers were not so honest either. They took cleaning supplies. Not a big deal much surprising. Hope nothing else is missing. Yelp shows me in San Francisco but I live in the Chicago area were the work was done. I will ask Yelp to fix this. read more

Responsive, quick and efficient service. Used caution in removing large items which I appreciate. Fair pricing. What more can you say ? Will definitely use their service again. read more

Great experience. I had a LOT of junk and let me tell you they made it disappear just like any genie would. But seriously. They get rid of your junk at a decent price. Guys we're friendly and on time. They even came out and took down my old shed. Good stuff, great price. Fast. Easy. Win. read more

We needed to clean out my mom's 3-floor house. We are very impressed with this company's professional, pleasant personnel. The workers did an excellent job hauling heavy furniture, 5 air conditioners, tv's (the heavy old kind). Just an incredible job. This company comes highly recommended by my family. They really know how to pack the truck, making the most of empty space. read more

Scheduling was a bit of a problem since a crew showed up one month early! Also, the day before the removal, I didn't receive a call to tell me what time frame the crew would arrive the next day. I had to call Keith, who didn't know the time and said he would call me back. Several hours passed so I called a second time and he somewhat rudely assured me he would know be later in the evening. He finally called about 7PM. Other than those 2 things, the crew arrived on time. They were friendly, accommodating, and very careful not to damage anything. They were so efficient, everything was gone before we knew it. So over all, the price was right and the removal process was excellent. Would use them again. read more

I, used there service to remove some junk from my last apartment when I was moving out and they did not do there job. First, of all they made me buy the supplies like trash bags, gloves, and masks when they should provide that themselves. Second, the pictures they are showing you on, Yelp, is a BIG FAT LIE, because I had furniture I wanted to be removed and they told me they do not remove big items like furniture. So, I was not happy with the outcome. If, you want a good junk removal company go with, 1-800-GOTJUNK. I, highly recommend them. Oh, to also let you know that they wanted to make me pay $650.00 for there service when they did not only do there job, but also DID NOT REMOVE ONE SINGLE ITEM from my apartment. read more

Professional job. Pleased with their service. What I liked best is that they kept in communications with me when they were running behind with a very intense job. They contacted me to let me know their progress so I was not just sitting around waiting. That I can appreciate. Not too many professional junkers come out to the South Side of Chicago, so I do recommend them highly. They get busy sometimes, so make sure you book with them as early as you can. read more

The guys from Junk Genie really bailed me out. They were professional, fast and courteous. Definitely use them again

Great service. Packed the truck to the brim. Took their time to make sure they got the most they could get in. Removed difficult items from basement and attic. Saved my life moving out of an old 5000 square foot home with 60 years of stuff. Highly recommend. All of the men where polite and hard working. read more

I made an appointment online but they never showed up. Didn't receive a phone call or anything saying they wouldn't be able to make it. I tried to call their office but no answer. I guess they don't work when it rains...I'd give 0 stars if I could for this sorry business. read more

I am so pleased with the outstanding customer service I received from Keith at Junk Genie. He is super fast and accommodating. Keith contacted me within minutes of my email request for a quote and kept me informed regarding their estimated time of arrival. Junk Genie removed a trampoline from my yard less than two days after my request. I would highly recommend Junk Genie and look forward to having them back. read more

I was nervous about getting some miscellaneous stuff out of my house from the previous owners - old washer, heavy tables, etc. in a quick turnaround for new tenants. These guys were great. They came less 25 hours after I called, the price seemed reasonable and they were friendly and professional. I absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for some help removing junk. Thank you, Junk Genie! My house is already for its next owner! read more

I requested the quote online and Keith got back to me in a timely manner with a reasonable quote. I live out of state and Keith worked directly with my realtor to remove items from a condo since I could not be there. It was nice to have someone do this. He was efficient and did a great job. Would definitely use them again. read more

I was beginning to remodel my basement, and we had sooo sooo much heavy stuff to toss out. My mom and I was in a bind because the contractors were coming in less than 48 hours. I was reading the newspaper that Sunday morning and saw their ad. I made an online appt on that Sunday and the guys were out at 11am that Monday! They were gracious, quick and thorough. I will recommend JUNK GENIE to anyone! They provide discounts too! Thanks again Junk Genie! Val read more

Said they'd be contacting me this morning about a pick up after blowing me off the day before. Fool me once, shame on you fool me twice shame on me. Decided to contact another removal service who was there lickety split. Great at emailing/messaging but not so good at the pick up. Their price was so low it was appealing but obviou;sy it does no good if there's no pick up! read more

I used Junkie Genie back in January. The first time I called and booked a truck, they never showed up. I had to call back the next day and book another appointment. Overall , the service was ok but you will need to keep calling to make sure they don't forget about you. Will I use them again? Yes, now I know what to expect. read more

I was so impressed with Joey and Julian of the Junk Genie, they were both polite, very professional and did a fantastic job in removing the items that almost filled the entire truck.
