Although I'd told them they should be able to back their trailer through the double gate, they decided not to risk damaging the gate, which meant carrying the wood further for them. Unfortunately for them, they also got bitten to pieces by the fire ants in the woodpile - sorry guys! Despite all that, they not only stuck to their reasonable initial estimate, they even stuck around after I paid them, in the deepening twilight, to rake and sweep and leafblower and generally clean up, managing to cart away a good few extra barrow loads of bark and twigs and stuff. Great work, going above and beyond. I'm so glad to have my little porch clear again... now I can finally fix it up!
