Stopped here after dinner at Crudo e Nudo next door and it was such a lovely sweet treat to end the night. It's a walk up cookie spot right on Main Street in Santa Monica, super easy to pop in if you're already in the area. Everything is made to order, so they actually decorate and finish the cookies when you pick your flavors. Serhat was really kind and he offered samples while we decided plus they have a visual menu which helped because everything looked good and my decision making skills disappear around dessert. It's also family owned, and this location opened after their first shop did so well, which honestly makes sense once you try them. We got the Passionfruit Pavlova, Peanut Butter & Banana Brûlée, and Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake cookies and all were stunning. The cookies are smaller, two-bite sized, so you can try a few flavors without feeling like you just ate a brick. Absolutely incredible. I am a matcha snob and just insanely picky, so more often than not I don't order them, but just make them at home. Something compelled me to try the raspberry lemon matcha. It was such a balanced flavor. Slightly sweet cream top mixed with the matcha provided a perfect sipping experience. Once you get to the bottom, you have a mix of the remaining match and a raspberry puree situation, and it's incredible. I also got two raspberry cookies and have exactly zero complaints. I tried a few different cookies: Crème brûlée: my fave. Even get the crispy top which is my fave part of crème brûlée. Passionfruit pavlova: perfect amount of puree so you get a bright freshness of passionfruit but not overpowering. Dulce de leche: so decadent, a must for caramel lovers. Raspberry cheesecake: the one I was most looking forward to but most disappointed by! Way too much raspberry, it overpowered the entire cookie. They started off with serving samples which is so cute!! What stands out is that they clearly care about the details. The flavors are balanced, not just sweet for the sake of sweet, and the texture holds up even after a few hours (not that mine lasted that long). There's always room for dessert!!! After a great meal I'm always looking to satisfy my second stomach. That being said I stumbled upon junior cookies on a late Friday night. They were serving samples outside and I simply couldn't resist! Now I understand the appeal of tiny cute objects but I fear not in this case. Shrink-flation has hit Los Angeles. For 20$ you get to choose four flavors. They give you two of each, so 8 iitty bitty cookies that don't even amount to the size of a regular cookie from anywhere. I got the Nutella, Creme brulee, raspberry lemon cheesecake, and dulce de leche. In my opinion the flavors were not impressive and the cookies came out cold. I think if they were warm like how insomniac cookies are it would have made the experience better. Overall I was extremely disappointed after seeing such an uproar over these cookies. I don't think they are anything special and if I was dying for hot cookies I would go get the cookie tote for 7$ from McDonalds. 13 cookies and they come pipping hot, and satisfying. There's also no parking either and you have to find the back streets to walk over. Final verdict: I don't think I'll be back. read more

Junior might have something beyond to offer, with couple seats in house should you not be able to wait and wanna grab a bite straight away on the spot. They also occasionally offered samples of different flavors to try before picking your choice to purchase. They did sell the cookies in combo of dozen or 2 dozens. The smallest basket size would be a set of 2, which unfortunately had to be the same flavor (frowned). Like the name, the cookies mostly came in junior (mini size) so you could actually had space in your tummy to try multiple. Online pre-order was available, or you could easily did self-order from the kiosk on the venue and the attendant would swiftly assemble your box. I tried the Raspberry Cheesecake cookie and Nutella cookie cup, both of which came with quite generous toppings and stuffing. The cookie base itself was decent and I'd say it's winning point was the fun topping play more than the cookie. I might have more options I fancied more in town :) read more

I stopped by this spot on the way to dinner over the weekend. Parking was a little limited, but there were plenty of public lots and street parking nearby. The shop is super cute with a hot pink + modern vibe that makes it a fun stop. I picked up a few cookies: Guava Cheese, KitKat Tiramisu, Ube Coconut Éclair, and Peanut Butter Banana Brûlée. Let's start with the best part: THE COOKIES!!!!! When you sign up for rewards you get two free chocolate chip cookies. Those were sooooo yummy! I've also tried their "Kit Kat Tiramisu" cookies, which were delicious, and the "Pistachio Affagato" Ice Cream which was interestingly really good. Since I live close, I'll probably make my way through their whole menu. I've been in there a couple times and the service is always friendly. You get to watch them make up your concoctions since the clean kitchen is right in front of you. I really like the interior color choice. White is nice and clean and the pink makes it feel really bright and friendly. I can't really comment on the rewards yet since I haven't used them. Finally cookies that I don't have to feel guilty about, since they are bite-size. I would say it takes more than just a bite though since it's pretty filling.. I thought made to order meant that the cookies are made fresh right away but it means that it's the toppings are decorated on top when you order. It doesn't actually taste warm. I would figure logistically it would be hard to make fresh cookies every time someone orders. Otherwise, my favorite flavors were the crème brûlée, banana peanut butter, and s'mores. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes if you order a pack like I did. And there's a promotion right now if you buy a pack of eight ($20), you can get the second box for 50% off. And I did exactly that. I got it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which isn't anything to rave about on its own but great paired with the cookies. I recommend giving it a try. read more

Their cookies are so fun and flavorful but the perfect size - so you can enjoy a ton of flavor without being uncomfortably full afterwards. If you live in the area or are visiting you HAVE to pop in - you won't be disappointed. Crumbl really had a moment but those are massive and just way too sweet.
