My baby girl and I had a great time here. They are so patient in explaining how the animals live. Their temperaments and love that they make you feel so comfortable around the animals.

Staff were very kind, welcoming and informative! We were greeted with friendly faces right away. Breath of fresh air... The facility is clean and spacious. Thankfully for us we visited at the time of day that it wasn't so busy. So we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We were able to visit with all of the animals. Our kids absolutely loved it all! The big ol tortoise even joined us for a walk around the facility! I'm really thankful for the staff- very kind. Definitely recommend this place!

Jungle reef is somewhat expensive for a small acquaruim, but it is a fun experience. They have a lot of unique animals. They also have original exhibits and animals that I normally wouldn't see at similar places elsewhere. The best part is being able to pet the sting rays. I also enjoyed the giant turtles and exotic fish. It was an enjoyable experience and I recommend this place.

I almost gave it 4 stars, but the aquarium is very small. That being said, the entrance is not cheap, which I understand cause taking care of animals it's very expensive. But I also didn't like paying for tokens to feed the animals. Plus, you have to pay extra if you want to explore with the animals one on one. Buy the time you finished. it gets very expensive. So I highly recommend you pay for regular admission. On the positive note, I love everything it's hands-on. You get to explore and touch the different animals. That's a lot of fun, and the kids love it. They have a small petting zoo that is included with admission, so that's a good thing. I know the aquarium just opened. Hopefully, they'll make bigger and include some items instead of paying for everything.

It's extraordinary to have something like this here, finally! For a big city, EP lacks kid interactive learning centers, so I loved bringing my 4-yr-old today. I had a ton of fun too! They pack a lot in a well organized area. Bravo to the team, everything was well thought out, branded, and decorated! I felt encouraged to engage with the animals. Keepers were around to help us and make sure animals were safe too. The mermaid, omg can't wait for a whole team of mermaids! It was magical when she pulled over the waters edge to say hello to the kids. The wait was an hour, because we're all excited about this and IT WAS WORTH IT! (Remember, Disney rides are long waits and here we are in EP petting sting rays. PLANNING TIP: I suggest letting a grown up take the kids to Monkey Rock (only a 3 min. walk thru the mall) while another grown up can wait in line (in TikTok heaven--with headphones of course). REEF Team: My only suggestion is to add a hand washing station at the exit, prior to gift shop. Bravo again, Jungle Reef! Amazing work!

Enjoyed the aquarium, however, customer service is at an all time low. The cashiers (all that I encountered) were rude and very unfriendly. We were in line figuring out the waiver on our phone and were rudely told to move to the end of the line. I explained that we were finishing the waiver and she told us we were in the wrong line without explaining where we should be. Once inside, the woman at the pet barn counted 10 people to enter. My 2 children entered and she would not permit me to enter with my kids. Who would not allow a parent to enter with their young children? I told her I needed to enter with my children and she was visibly upset by my request. She opened the door and I squeezed in because she refused to open it all the way. The aquarium itself is a nice little venue and reasonably priced. Customer service is lacking BIG TIME. Have patience, you work with children!

I was impressed by the caring and compassion of the staff. I have a background with exotic animals myself, and they were more than happy to take the time to explain the care of their animals. I was able to see the bond between the porcupine and Ted, and hear about the training they are doing with the wallaby from Jesse. I enjoyed the antics of the otters, and was surprised to see a giant tortoise walking among the guests. They showed us how they fed fresh squid to the sharks. This really got the nurse sharks moving around! Upon entering, I was able to feel a ray swimming in the water! With an exhibit like this, I think you get out how much you put into it. There are plenty of friendly staff around that you can ask questions. what kind is it? what does it eat? where is it from? how long does it live? how do you take care of it? Do they make good pets? is it freshwater or saltwater? It might be helpful if the exhibit had signs about each animal on it for educational purposes. Then people would know what they were looking at. But overall, it is worth the time to explore and learn about.

Was looking for a family outing and came across this place. Had seen the announcements before it was completed. I have to say this is really cool for a place like El Paso. This city has needed something fresh and fun for a long time. I wish I had this kinda adventure growing up. Great place, fun for all kids and adults. And the staff and crew very friendly informative and just a really good all around experience. My daughter loved it and I look forward to continuing growth and development for this business.

With that in mind, I think that for the size of the city this zoo has a lot of potential for the size of the city and has improved significantly in the last few years. I recently visited the El Paso Zoo for the first time in 15 years and was amazed as how much it has changed. Compared to other zoos, their prices are very reasonable and I like that they also offer military and senior discounts. We visited on Super Bowl Sunday and it was absolutely perfect! The place was not super busy and since it was a little chilly all the animals were super active. Some of our favorites were the penguins and the meerkats. One thing to keep in mind if you visit very early is that all of their stores and vendors are still closed so it does take a few hours for them to open everything up. They also had some sections of the zoo closed up for renovations but not too many. Frankly it was nice to see that they are working to improve the living conditions of the animals. Overall, we had an amazing time and will definitely back next time we are in town.

While this zoo is on the smaller side, I felt like there was enough to see to make it worth it. It's also only $13-15, depending if you're a resident or not! What really stood out about this place were the unique animals - There's a lot to see from the Chihuahuan Desert, and other nearby regions. Each area is also nicely organized by Africa, Asia, The Americas, etc. There were a few places closed due to renovations but I'll assume that's because of the time of year. This zoo is pretty great! And only a short ride from downtown!

We have been a part of the TNR program for just over a year and we find it very content in doing what we can for the organization. I was in the area and decided to stop by P.B. to check it out. My original destination was to be PetSmart, but chose P.B. since it was right there at the intersection of Sunland Park. I walked in and it seemed nice. They had exactly what I was looking for, to include a round scratcher with a ball for the Cats to play with. They even had replacement circles for it. I was happy to find them as quickly as I did, but I have to say it was the staff that helped me out since I did not know the store. The Cat section was actually pretty small in comparison to other stores I have been to over the past year. They did, however, have an Aquarium section. Now this is where the 2 Stars come from. The Live Freshwater section was not designed well, there was not a large selection of anything for actual products, and there were no Tanks available to purchase other than a couple off to the side on stands. I have been an Aquarist for over 40 years and as a hardcore expert, I was sad to see the lack of professionalism and design of this area. It's as if the store did not want to sell anything. Most of the products available had dust indicating they had been there for quite some time. I did manage to talk to the Staff member that took care of the area and after having a long discussion, she felt that management did not actually care about the Aquarium section as if they wanted the section to not exist. I felt sad for her because she had solid knowledge and ambition to make her area perfect, and profitable but was unable to do anything. I hope Pet's Barn takes an honest interest and renovates the entire section to offer great products and Live fish. The only other option is to remove it completely because at this current time, it looks like Skid Row.
