Been here a ton of times over the years, and it's the only reason I look forward to coming to Heber. All the ladies are so kind and (almost) know our family by name. One of them memorized our usual order. My favorite breakfast meal is the most delicious thing I've ever had. It's perfect. Lunch, which we rarely go to because we always have breakfast, I usually have the chicken tenders. Perfect amount of breading on delicious chicken. We had friends come up to visit and we took them to June's for lunch. We did a lot of talking and the waitress had to come over a couple times before she could take our order but she was patient and very sweet. Our friends ordered the Sloppy Joe and couldn't stop raving about how good it was! But today we came in and before seating us they stated they accidentally refunded our meal and said they made the mistake from the last time we were in!And asked us right away to check our phones to check our credit card account! I am an out of towner from LA. Driving through Heber on a Saturday morning, June's Diner was the only real restaurant for miles and miles. What a relief it was to find a great place! For a small town restaurant, June's was extremely busy, and the Spanish omelette I ordered was just great. I love finding good places to eat like this one, especially in remote locations. Extremely cozy atmosphere and very professional staff. I will make a point of stopping here again. If going from St Johns to Phoenix, the 260 beats the 60 hands down. Mmm mmm... This place is so good! For breakfast each time I get the amazing biscuits and gravy. This is the only restaurant that I like biscuits and gravy. Biscuits are soft and gravy is awesome. The pancakes and the Belgian waffle are also really good. Whenever we come into the restaurant they all remember my family and know what we want. The staff is very kind and service is fast. Their lunch is also really good. I love the chicken tenders and French fries. Their pie is also fantastic! Pretty basic diner food. I had breakfast, it was the only place open early around Heber. Biscuits were fluffy and tasty, coffee was weak.

Yes, there are many small "country cafe" type places in the area, but I am willing to bet that June's Cafe tops them all. The menu was standard breakfast fare: pancakes, waffles, egg dishes, etc.; much like you may find anywhere else. However the real standouts about June's are the intangibles. The atmosphere, the service, and so on. Excellent and friendly service, which you can tell by the way that all of the tables around you are serviced, is a standard at June's. Charming and unique decor (they have an astounding collection of yard sticks). As well as, good quality diner food and coffee. If you are in the area, I highly recommend that you stop in June's Cafe and give it a try. read more

We went camping with friends and stopped in for breakfast, OMG! My husband and friend had the biscuits and gravy, said the best they ever ate, said they were fresh, fluffy, huge and the gravy was perfectly seasoned and very fresh. I enjoyed a large pancake, and they are not kidding when the say large; literally filled the plate. It was light and fluffy with a great flavor unlike any I've ever had. The decor was awesome! Consistently great food and awesome service. Not a place within 100 miles that compares. Gets busy during the summer around 9-11, but they crank out the food really fast. So don't turn away if you see a bunch of people waiting..you will be in and fed soon! read more

Was very disappointed! The last time we tried to come here there was a place for you to sign in...we look inside to see how 'packed' it was and there was like 3 empty tables. So I asked the lady how long the wait would be(no idea why there even was one). My daughter was very hungry so we took off, lost our business that's for sure! The food is good and deserves a higher rating but due to the extremely rude waitress and service, the overall rating drastically comes down! As soon as you walk in the welcoming is very cold and continues throughout your meal. Asking for anything once you're served is difficult and the space is bison short of claustrophobic. I would definitely not recommend this place unless you're getting takeout. Even then, I'm sure the brief contact with waitstaff will be too much. read more

We have eaten here during the summer for over 10 years. The waitresses are very busy but efficient. They are friendly and boisterous ( in a good way) and make you feel at home. Good diner food. The specials always hit the spot. It is almost always crowded but the wait is worth it. read more

Walked in with a group and didn't even sit down, talk about a rude welcoming. We just walked out and went down to Al and Diane's Red Onion restaurant. We were greeted right when we walked in, Sat and served drinks like a restaurant should. We will be here a week and will go back daily for lunch or dinner. We experienced the same grumpy waitress. Arrived ten minutes before they stop serving breakfast and was told nastily that we could not get breakfast. Thought people would be more friendly in small towns. Left and went down the street to Black Canyon Cafe. They serve breakfast till 2:00 pm. Great place for the locals & I always stop on my way down the mountain for whatever reason. My favorite is an omelet or the pancakes. Great, friendly service. Just have to remember not to go on Wednesday. They are closed. :( read more

We stopped during a shopping trip to Heber for breakfast. We had been here before a few years ago and found the place very pedestrian and the server was rude to out of towners. Today was seriously different. The server was top notch and the food was delicious. The coffee was the way I like it, hot and strong. There are only about eight tables and a half dozen counter seats. I was very disappointed! The first breakfast cafe experience on our 4 day stay in Heber/Overgaard and it was awful! I was looking forward to it because of the good reviews it has, but trust me, I will not be going back, here's why: First of all, they have a sign in sheet outside the place before you get in. Who does that? I don't know about you, but I don't like standing out in the cold wondering if the staff saw us signing up. Once inside and decided on a breakfast, they were out of what I love to get - chicken fried steak! That's like a breakfast staple! Who runs out of chicken fried steak? I ordered Chorizo & eggs with a biscuits & Gravy instead - discussing! Everything - the eggs, chorizo and especially the hash browns were so greasy it was hard to swallow. Chorizo was a bit watery. There was nothing special about the biscuits & gravy like everyone rants about - the gravy is not peppered, the sausage in gravy is none to none and the biscuit was like a store bought biscuit. My wife's omelet had way too much cheese on top - I like cheese, but too much cheese makes you wonder, what are they trying to mask here? Taste? Plus it was also very greasy. On top of all this, the waitress was very impatient with us, slammed our plates on the table when food was ready, moved chairs around us in a very loud haste-like manner while we were eating. She was the only waitress and you can tell - rude, impatient and we just plainly did not feel welcome there. Soon after we ate, both my wife and I had huge stomach aches and did not feel good for quite awhile. We will never come back to this place. We will try our luck at some other places around. If you are reading this, trust me, don't go there. read more
