I love spending my summers here! The parking lot gets packed, but there are other lots where you can park. The canoeing, paddleboarding, and swimming are so worth it! Beautiful views, clear waters, and an amazing time. I suggest bringing shaded umbrellas, a beach mat, a floaty, a hat, snacks, and trash bags to clean up after yourself. If you have any questions about the parking lot being full, make sure to ask the staff member at the payment booth for advice! They helped us out a lot

How can anyone give anything less than 5 stars? I can never get enough of the snow covered mountains and the serenity of the lake. Running around this lake with no one in sight was like a dream.

You'll have a reel good time here! Lots of parking right by the lake. Great spot for a bbq and water activities like kayaking or paddle boarding. There are some old broken glass bottles within the rocks so be careful if you have pets. Hope to return in the summer one day!

The perfect shade of turquoise and blue, captivating colors and enthralling views. We came with high expectations that were ultimately surpassed by the wind, waves and water. This is an excellent spot to paddle board, wakeboard and laze around in a floatie.

This is a great spot to grab some sunshine, serenity, and beautiful scenery. The lake is quite large and there is plenty of space to relax on the shore and take in some awesome views. Parking is available at free of charge, as well as overnight RV parking and camping (for a nominal fee). Be sure to snap photos because there are plenty of natural things to see. Not far from the lake are some options to grab food and even lodging options too! Definitely, will visit the lake again.

Another beautiful lake amongst the June Lake Loop lakes. This is one of the biggest lakes. There has been some great fishing on this lake. There is a nice large and beach on the east end. Two marinas that offer boat rentals. A jumping rock accessible by boats only. And some shore fishing spots. The town of June Lake is a quaint, unpretentious small town that is home to several mom and pop businesses. People tend to be friendly, but don't come up with your city antics. Be polite. Clean up behind yourself. Don't speed. Just come and relax, turn off your phones, take in what life used to be before internet and enjoy.

A great spot in Mammoth! I can't wait to come back during the summer. It was pretty and relaxing at the end of November. There are picnic benches to sit at and bathrooms on site by the beach section. It's very beautiful and was peaceful when we went. I will definitely come back when boats are allowed back on the water. Keep that in mind that they close when it starts getting cold. We wanted to rent a boat but will have to come back next year when they are open!

June Lake is a hidden gem with a small population and few dining options. But that's what I loved about it! Luckily, it hasn't been over run by tourists and their prices are decent for the area. Its about 20-30 minutes north of Mammoth mountain. We did the lake loop drive and it was so nice and we were the only car on the road most of the drive. The views are spectacular at all hours of the days, especially sunset *heart eyes.* The drive up from Los Angeles was such a breeze, no whiny roads or sharp turns. I rather drive 5 hours here, than 2 hours upto Big Bear. We went the first weekend of November and after talking to the locals we got a better understanding of the area and how most places were closing up because its basically "off season," which started at the end of October. Most shops/restaurants open back up the week before Christmas, so we made it just in time to enjoy this beautiful lake before the snow. We weren't able to do any water activities because it was so windy, which made it feel colder than what it actually was but that didn't stop me from looking into dates for next year.

We've heard about June lake from some of the locals, so after a huge dinner we decided to come for a drive. Unless you are fishing or camping there isn't much you can do. Many campers on the higher grounds, so we were able to walk around the lake all to ourselves. Found a spot watch sunlight disappear. So nice, quiet and peaceful, trying to get some self care /mindfulness with our boys... creating beautiful memories for them. This is a lake to do just that. However, be careful full of mosquitos yikes!

Fun for a family vacation. The lake is clean. They rent all sorts of paddle boards, fishing and pontoon boats. There are a couple of small beach areas and fishing off the banks.

Gorgeous destination for a camping adventure with breathtaking views and clear night time sky for amazing star gazing. We enjoyed the bbq grills, convenient picnic tables and ample large space for the bear proof food storage. Our location had a beautiful view of the lake with enough shade and cover from the sun. Bathroom was clean and just a short walking distance with flush toilets and a sink. Just need to bring your own hand soap. My cousin and his wife booked the lot next to us which was neighbor friendly and made for a joyous experience. The grounds were challenging in that there were too many tree and dry bush stumps, large rocks and branches sticking out which makes for tripping to falling hazards. I had to keep my eyes on the ground the entire time when walking from place to place. I don't imagine all camping lots have this matter going on but ours did and night time roaming about was just challenging especially trying to walk my pup from place to place. Yosemite National park is not too far away so on our way home we decided to take the scenic drive through Yosemite and enjoyed the breathtaking experience!

June Lake and June Lake Loop is a really pretty drive especially during the fall season. This lake is surrounded by beautiful trees and mountains. The trees can change color to bright yellow and orange and sometimes even red. There are 4 main lakes around the loop including Gull, Silver, and Grant. You can fish here and rent out boats. It is beautiful. Must go between late September through the middle of October to catch the fall colors. You can also go up anytime at all to fish.

June Lake is one of California's most beautiful hidden Gems If you ever want to take your family on a camping trip this is the perfect spot! I hope you enjoy just as much as my family & I have for years.

The good: nice big tables, good fire ring, easy access to water and clean restrooms. Area is pretty, and it's close to the lake. The host is very friendly and informative, and sells fire wood. The bear boxes are big and work well. Sites have pull through parking, so it's very easy to park. Most of the sites have decent shade in the daytime. Short walk to gull lake. The bad: sites are not private at all. Sitting in my site, I can see directly into no fewer than 9 other sites. It's also right off the June Lake Loop, which means cars are very audible at all hours. I was also awakened this morning by a helicopter flying very low at 7 am. It has continued running laps all day. The host informed me that they're replacing power poles with more sturdy ones. This is a good thing, but not for campers in 2020! Be warned. Overall, with the exception of the helicopters, this campground is fine. I'm giving it 4 stars because I really can't hold the helicopter noise against the campground.

Our first experience was August 18th getting our fishing license with almost zero communication from the two young men in charge. We then rented a pontoon boat on August 22nd and after getting on the boat realized two of us had grease all over our pants due to grease being all over the front seat. When bringing in the boat for a lunch break we asked the young man to clean off the seat for us and he said "sure". Upon our return the seat was still full of grease. There seemed to be zero appreciation or customer service which was so disappointing.
