I frequent this little Café with the boyfriend. As soon as you walk in, you are immediately greeting by either the waitstaff or the super friendly owner, who is often there and at times, is your server! You can take a seat anywhere and you will have a server within 30 seconds giving you the menu. Their menu has a nice list of sandwiches, salads and desserts, on top of all day breakfast. I've had several sandwiches and they are amazing. The owner is Portuguese and there is definitely little Portuguese twists(and a tiny bit Italian) to the sandwiches(try Portuguese Style Bifana, will not disappoint) and desserts(try the Nata), along with some Portuguese soft drinks and sparkling waters. Café Cranberries is the perfect way to treat your buds to a taste of Mexican. Snuggled in the Junction, on the corner of Pacific ave and Dundas, it's cute, cozy and comfortable. It was refreshing to eat out yet still taste real egg (vs boxed) in my breakfast burrito. The same goes with my chicken tacos, and the ultimate salad; nothing but real, fresh ingredients. This considered, the prices are cheap-date and family friendly. The owners/cooks run the show with some help from their friendly waitresses, all who, despite a lunch rush or two, still manage to check in. All kinds of people seem to pop in to this place, for a coffee, quick croissant, meal to go or a sit-in latté. There is usually spanish music playing in the background and a delectable scent of something spicy on the grill with a humble aroma of fresh coffee, which is delicious. There's free wi-fi, too. Stopped here with a friend after a long bike ride and enjoyed a delicious breakfast/brunch. Breakfast croissant and Steak tostada were excellent and so was the mango smoothie and espresso. Service was great too. On the down side, the nata were a little stale and portions were a little small but priced accordingly so no worries there. read more

When I finally got my breakfast it was cold. Considering there is was one other person in the restaurant there is no excuse to get cold breakfast the service was mediocre at best will never go back. read more

Friendly staff but lack of tasty food really hampers this restaurant. Their cappuccino (which they claim is best in the neighbourhood) is pretty lack lustre. Tastes a bit watered down. I would only come here for dessert. read more

I had the worst service there ever, I had a meeting there ordered a water & they brought me tap water & then ready to leave they said I should have ordered something I told them I ordered water, I was looking over the menu but the server just gave me my tap water & took off, like what the hell. read more

HORRIBLE!!! It was my first time at this place and the last! I was recommended by a friend but unaware of how unsanitary and inefficient this café was. First off the prices are much too high for the quality. I ordered an ultimate salad and the chicken was so processed that it tasted like rubber, and my husband who ordered the big breakfast had 4 thin slices of dried up bacon that were so hard to chew and tasted nothing like real bacon. It was like chewing on fabric. Also, the most REVOLTING part was that there were cockroaches in the washroom!!!! I wanted to throw up! The workers were so unprofessional, on their phones and computer while we were waiting for our bill. They claim to have 'table service' so we were expecting someone to send us our bill, but instead we sat there watching them separately do their own thing on their gadgets, eventually we got up and paid at the register. There's flies flying all around the place and the floors looked dirty and cracked. Judging on the atmosphere that place just seems dull, there was no one there and it was a ghost town. Chourico on the bun is great though quite expensive for the bun used. Just had the steak salad and it was pretty bad. Half of it was full of onions! Is that normal? Took picture of it because I can"t believe it. If these guys want to charge these type of prices then you have to do better. Deserts are also meh. read more

Excellent breakfast burrito! And the No 7 hot sauce they offer and sell is fantastic. A great place to hang out with friendly service and a nice vibe. The soups are also very good and perfect on a chilly day. read more

My family and I love this Cafe. The owners are friendly and courteous, the food is excellent. I am addicted to the ultimate salad, the breakfast sandwiches are a great deal and the lattes excellent. When ever we enter we are greeted warmly and don't even have to order our beverages, they know what we like. It feels like a friendly neighbourhood spot. We have met neighbours and made friends there. I for one am glad that they remain in the hood. read more

Easily a 5 star for what it is... no nonsense comfort food with an amazing twist on fresh ingredients. The passion Ricardo shows was evident and came through in both the service and the food. I can't say anything bad about the food and didn't notice anything bad about the washrooms. It's not the expensive prices that make this place bad, IMO. Afterall, there's lots over priced places with delicious food in Toronto. IMO, what makes this place bad is the owner. He's just not nice. If one brings in unwanted food or if some old lady puts her bag on his table, he just goes APE! Most restaurants don't allow foreign food. Fair enough. However, there's always a more tactful way to deal with the situation that doesn't involve yelling and screaming at some low income senior citizen. If you want to wait for your date to arrive before ordering, even she's just 5 minutes from arrival, he kicks you out or forces you to order. Other places allow you to wait. Heck, I've been to Jack Astors and they've let me wait 30 mins for my date to arrive. The thing is, he doesn't go out of his way to make people WANT to come to his establishment. Those people who bring outside food and that old lady who puts her bag for a second on his empty table or even that young gal waiting 5 minutes for her godmom to come and don't want to drink coffee before her arrival are all potential customers.
