They offer a huge assortment of syrup combos- they are written all over the window area- it's slightly overwhelming, but also a sweet coffee lovers dream. Jumpin' Java is definitely one of the coffee shops you should visit while you are at the beach. The shop is family-owned and the bakery is made fresh daily (good to support local owners). The inside is small, but comforting. The prices were just about right (ranging from $4-$5) and the service is quick. They also have a drive-through, so if you're feeling lazy (which you will probably be since you're be at the beach), you can get your coffee/milkshakes there. However, I would recommend going inside since the staff were very friendly. I went to this place with my brother and girlfriend and it was great. We order their chocolate chip cookie and it was good, not too sweet. My brother had the chai tea latte and he says he can never go wrong with that. They also have milkshakes which have been good. My girlfriend and I had the mocha. I thought it tasted like a regular mocha although my girlfriend thought hers was too milky. These guys have great coffee and are super fast. They have gotten part of my order wrong before but that's okay. It depends on who is working. They have a milky way drink that is sooo good. I've also had another one of their specialty drinks and it was solid. If you're going to get iced, get coffee cubes! It makes your coffee so much better and adds a little more caffeine since they're cold brew cubes. I'll be going back to try more and will update when I do! read more

This is hands down one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. The coffee selection is great and the staff is really friendly. They have a great selection of hot, iced and blended drinks. On a hot day, a blended mocha hits the spot. If you're not a coffee person, try a Red Bull smoothie. At first I was a bit skeptical, but after I tried one, I was hooked. My family and I stopped in for coffee on Saturday.... while the coffee is "o.k.", this place was a mess. Aside from the very dangerous combination of two toddlers at work with their parent(s) wondering around unsupervised in a coffee house while people are quickly moving around with extremely hot beverages, they were also following strangers around making it hard to get in and out the door, the baby was chewing on a quarter (when I told her mom, she seemed more put out than concerned); the boy tried to follow me in the bathroom, they were climbing all over the furniture that 'should' be there for patrons to sit and enjoy their coffee.... There is a reason no one was staying to relax. I must also mention that this place was very dirty inside!! Most people who grab their coffee from the drive-thru never see the floors, shelves and backrooms that are in serious need of attention; the kitchen/barista area was just gross (take a trip to the bathrooms and back-you won't want to drink your coffee, let alone order food). The cafe as a whole needed to be cleaned: food scattered on the floor, someone's house slippers hanging out next to the couch, the bathroom was a mess; not only in need of a thorough cleaning, but an organization of the diaper changing area that had trash spilling off the shelves. The prep area shelves were heaped with clutter... Look, I completely understand that sometimes our sitter cancels and we're in a bind - often times the decision is between calling out or paying the bills - OR - maybe the owners are 'super chill' and family friendly - but that's what playpens are made for: to keep children SAFE. Having unsupervised children underfoot of an unsuspecting stranger with scalding hot beverages can result in a lawsuit if someone were injured. Cleaning up this establishment should be the owner's first priority. The second would be to create an "inviting" atmosphere free of employee belongings: food, purses, clothing, etc. A business should not look like someone is living there and you're an unwelcomed stranger. read more

I always make a point to go there when I'm near the coast, even though I usually have to travel about 15 miles to do so. I was quite pleased with Jumpin Java. The building was easy to find, and the interior was clean and logical, as well as tastefully decorated -- it had "soul," is how I'd describe it. The staff was, likewise, friendly and attentive, and the Americano coffee I got was fresh and rather delicious. Another plus: the parking lot was peaceful (as I found while drinking my coffee and eating my lunch there). I had no problems with this cute little coffee shop, and would return. The only thing that kept it from receiving five stars was their lack of organic coffee (though, to be fair, I didn't check on this specifically -- my apologies if I'm wrong, guys!). It would be a great place to post up and do work or read-it's very quiet and even has a sectioned off area for privacy. We (Fiancée' and I) were scouting local roasters for our mobile coffee business we are starting and Jumpin' Java was recommended by local bakery in Whiteville. BEST DAMN RECOMMENDATION EVER!!! Ryan and Sunny (owners/ pwners of coffee) are so amazingly helpful it's absurd.....I honestly feel that they might have had superhero costumes on under their laid back styles. Sunny took the time to show me the roasting portion in action and went into detail on the whole process and explained things in super understandable ways. The selection they offer for wholesale is vast and reasonably priced for the quality of the bean you're getting. Ryan even took the time to hear our business plans and go over some of the details; pros/cons and things to be aware of in this area (really great seeing as most feel business plans are a super-secret recipe around here). I have to say these guys run their business with a passion for the scene; they care more about seeing a great cup of coffee in a customers hand than they do seeing the money leave it. I did get a righteous latte while I was there that was just that.....righteous! To sum it all up...if you are in need of a great cup of coffee...head here....if you're in need of a great cup of coffee and a great atmosphere with friends...head here. Literally the best coffee I have ever tasted. The owners roast their own beans and are dedicated to what they do, and all of the employees are super friendly and so nice! I usually get an Americano if I want something hot, or an iced latte.
