**A Review of Jump, Rattle & Roll and How This Situation Was Handled** A friend recently shared her experience at Jump, Rattle & Roll after visiting with her three children and the little girl she nannies--ages 5, 3, 3 months, and 3. This was not her first visit to the facility. After paying and putting their shoes away, she sat in the seating area with her 3-month-old in a car seat directly in front of her. She had wipes, diapers, and a baby bottle with a lid sitting beside her on the arm of the couch. The bottle was never unattended, and she was preparing to feed her baby. An employee approached her and told her she could not have the bottle in that area. She asked reasonable questions about the policy, but the employee did not have the answers and contacted the owner. She was eventually connected with the owner and was told that if the bottle spilled, the area would have to be shut down and it could affect other customers. She understood the concern about spills. **That was never the issue.** Her concern was why she was being approached about a sealed bottle that had not spilled, was directly beside her, and was about to be given to her infant. She complied and moved to the designated area to feed her baby. What made the situation feel inconsistent was that shortly afterward, another mother was breastfeeding her baby on the couch and the baby spit up on the couch. The mother was not approached or asked to move. There is absolutely no judgment toward that mother or her baby--babies spit up. The concern was the inconsistent enforcement of the reasoning given to her. There was also an incident where her daughter went to get water. Her older son immediately came to get her because the child tends to spill water without help. An employee redirected the child back toward the play area and told her that her daughter "looked lost in the lobby." She thanked the employee and continued their visit. Afterward, the owner described this situation on Facebook in a way that made it sound as though the child had been running toward the parking lot unattended. **According to the mother who was there, that is not what happened.** Her daughter went to get water, her son came to get her, and an employee redirected the child back toward the play area. She then left an honest review of her experience so other parents--particularly parents with infants who bottle-feed--could know what to expect. Instead of simply responding to the review professionally, the business made a public Facebook post about the situation. The owner then continued arguing with people in the comments, including directly responding to the customer and questioning how many businesses she runs and how she would have handled the situation. The customer never claimed to be a business expert. She criticized the **way the situation was handled.** The owner also accused people of being recruited to leave false one-star reviews. If fraudulent reviews occurred, there are appropriate ways to address that. But that does not invalidate the experience of the actual customer who was physically present at the facility. And this is the biggest issue: **No establishment should be running to social media for damage control because they received a negative review.** A business is allowed to have rules. Customers are allowed to ask questions about those rules. Customers are also allowed to share their experiences. A professional business can disagree with a review, explain its policies, correct factual inaccuracies, or report fraudulent reviews without publicly attacking or shaming the customer. The original interaction could have ended with a simple disagreement about a policy. Instead, the decision to take the situation to Facebook, publicly discuss the customer, argue in the comments, and continue defending the business turned it into something much bigger. We hosted my 4 year old's birthday here and had a really great experience! We've played here many times before for open play and have always enjoyed, but today went very smoothly. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. They carried things up to the party room and helped set things up to our specifications. They asked how they could help without being overbearing and they also handled the pizza delivery and put it in the warmer for us up in the party room. Our friends that joined us loved all the fun activities and bubble machine. When it was time to go, they helped with take down and bringing things to the car without making us feel rushed out. Went all out for my kid's birthday at this location! It's a really well thought out multi-room, multi activities indoor party place with inflatable slides, jumping bounce houses, a laser maze room, playscape, bubbles, air hockey tables, foosball, giant sized dollhouse that kids can go inside, and much more! Pros: so much room that can accommodate up to 50 guests - probably more honestly. The staff member said she's had a party of 300 guests at one time. There are lots of comfy sofas for the adults to relax in. A lot of activities for kids of all ages to stay interested in. I booked the play area for two hours and the kids were entertained for the entire time. You get the whole facility to your private party so no need to share with any outside guests during your reserved time. The staff helped me prep the party room as well - and break everything down. They were very kind and helpful. Cons: really the only thing I didn't like was the laser maze room's odor. It needs to be cleaned and sanitized better - given how many kids were in there, there's a distinct smell of...BO / feet. I would also stay away from purchasing the glow party room add-on. To be honest it was wasted money given the kids can't see anything and are eating in the dark. Nice thought but poor execution. Overall I would recommend and would come back! Now that I've tested everything, I would know what to purchase next time with more confidence and expectations that match. read more

We have been coming here for years and absolutely love it. I know owners have changed but it's been nothing but amazing for the establishment. They are open much more than when we first began coming, and I love that they switch things up and update items! They have brought in some really fun additions to the facility. I do wish that they didn't charge extra for some items once you have already paid admission. It's hard to tell kiddos no we paid but we can't do that too and not all items are worth the extra. Always a great place to bring the kids. The free jump runs from 1 1/2-2 hours long and you will wear the kids out in that time. Its only $8 per kid and adults dont pay so its a cheap way to get out of the house. It does not have AC so on hot days it can get sweaty. Also if its warm have the kids wear pants. The plastic slides can get sticky. For the adults there is plenty of seating. Be warned they staff does not really keep an eye on anything so I always watch my kids to make sure no one is playing to rough. read more

Our first visit to Jump, Rattle, and Roll and most likely our last, at least until our kids are older. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and arrived for a scheduled "Toddler Time," advertised as being for only 6 years old and younger. Within minutes of walking in, my 1 year old was plowed over by a child who appeared to be older than 6 years old. That kind of set the mood for the trip. Both of my toddlers were pushed down by children older than the advertised age several times, be it being pushed past on the playground area, or pushed down a slide before ready on bouncy houses, or even pulled off the ladders or pushed past by older children. None of which had parents anywhere in view anywhere. Of course I reminded the other kids each time or tried my best to correct them but I am not their parent and the behavior continued. Overall just disappointed that "Toddler Time" was actually more so an open play time, and parents weren't supervising their older children during a time they were attending out of the advertised time. It is a very cool facility, it's just a bummer we won't be able to return until our kids are significantly older due to poor advertising or follow through and unsupervised children hurting and scary toddlers during a time advertised for them. 2 Stars because the facility is clean and fun with lots to do and definitely worth the money. Would have easily been 5 stars if Toddler Time was actually Toddler Time and if my kids didn't sped a lot of their time dodging older out of control kids. read more

Look for the sandwich board, turn into the parking lot, and jump into the wonderland that is the perfect scene for all families. 3 and a half dollars for the kids under 2 and only 7 bucks for those over, you have a wonderful play land in between the 10 AM to 12 Noon hours. From the pictures, obviously there is a fair share of inflatable joy for you and the kids to revel in. But there is so much more than the obvious pictured here that will pique your child's interest. I think my favorite part about this place is how you get to enjoy your merit as a parent. As a dad of a lovely little girl not quite the age of the 2, this has been a great place for me to test my own boundaries. I don't get the opportunity really to enjoy my daughter in her element all the time. Playing with other kids, developing her individuality, and simply exploring a new world while I test my comfortable range of monitoring. Since this is my first, I also get my opportunity at a new experience of enjoying it with her while mingling with other young families that are of a similar scenario as my own. Getting a chance to meet the man of the house (Paul) and what he has to offer, I can guarantee I will be a frequent visitor of this wonderful playland. It's a nice place to spend couple hours with the little ones but we always leave sooner than anticipated because it's so soo cold inside at all times. Wether it's Summer or winter it doesn't matter for this place, it's like 50 degrees inside with air conditioning blowing all the time . I had a warm winter jacket on but I was still so very cold. I chatted with other moms there and they complained about how cold it is there as well. I avoid going there just because of the cold air blowing all the time. Personally, I'd prefer paying a dollar or 2 extra just to not feel the cold air blowing on me all the time. And regardless of where you standing indide the cold air blows from the top so you can't avoid it at all. Does it really have to be kept so cold even during winter months? read more

I set up for party at 4 pm. Was told to show up at 345 to get things set up. At 4 the staff had no showed and I had 15 three year olds sitting in the parking lot at 45 degrees. They don't have contact info unless someone is in the building. I sent an email and it was answered. Around 425 a nice lady showed up and got it started. The kids loved it when it finally got started. The staff that was supposed to be there showed up around 445 with a bad attitude. For over $300 for the rental I'd expect a lot more. If there had been any other place in the area to take 15 kids we never would have stayed. read more

If you don't have a small child you need to find one ASAP so you can come here and enjoy the experience of multiple (7+) inflatable bounce houses, slides, and obstacle courses. And some of the slides are not for the faint of heart. These are tall, steep, fast slides. Your inner child will thank you. The small child will probably thank you too. As long as you didn't kidnap them. If the small child isn't into the bouncy houses, there are lots of other things for them to play with, including foam blocks, several kitchen sets, doll houses, balls, etc. Seriously, $7 for two-hours of open play is a steal. Don't forget to get a punch card. Adult is free with child admission. There's a special play time every week for the wee ones under 6. Or come to any open play with your child under the age of 17. So much better then pump it up or happy play cafe. 1) there is no height minimum! Kiddos even one year olds can go in the bouncy house. A few do have age restrictions on them that is for 3 years and under but of the 10 or so bouncy houses or so like 2 fall into a restriction. 2) it is clean, not just the play area but the bathrooms. The area is just so well kept and you don't feel like your child need to wash their hands after touching something 3) the gentleman working today (02/04) was so kind, informative, and helpful. Why didn't I take my kid(s) here sooner? We had a fantastic time at the weekday open play time. Bouncy houses of all styles (except boring - I think they all had something inside to make them interesting to different kid preferences). Indoor play structure with doggy beds to pad the ends of slides :) Other toys too. There was plenty of variety to keep my very active toddler excited for the full two-hour stretch (leading to an epic nap - I'd like to give them an extra star for that). Very clean - even the bathrooms. Convenient diaper changing area in the unisex bathroom. Free cubbies for gear and shoes. Great prices (under 12-months-old and parents are free), including a punch card so the tenth visit is free. Super friendly staff. We will definitely be making this a regular stop through the rainy months. read more
