You are allowed to bring outside food and drinks for set up so that's a great perk cause a lot of other places require you to order from their institution. Music was WAY TOO LOUD at unsafe levels for kids. It was so loud my boyfriend and I had to yell at each other to hear one another. Also, on this hot summer day (85 degrees outside) there was NO AC in this place. It was SO HUMID and I didn't really even see any working fans that I felt to offset the heat and humidity. The check in person was nice and said there was an appropriate area for toddlers in the back. I asked if it was appropriate for my crawling 10-month old and he said yes. However, once we entered the music was so loud I could tell it was way too much for my little one. We tried to give it a chance but my baby kept crying and screaming when the music was playing. It also smelled like poop in there. The play area was slightly run down but not too bad. The place would have been way nicer (4 stars) if the AC was on and it was a little cleaner in there, and they turned the loud-ass music down. The place is run by younger-looking teens, which I'm wondering is what might account for the extremely loud level music. Seems fun for older kids maybe 5+ but not recommended for toddlers or infants without those improvements, especially since toddlers and infants tend to overheat pretty easily and get overstimulated by the extremely noise levels of the music. read more

I feel like this place is more for older kids. Brought my 2.5 year old here, definitely not worth the $19. 23 months and younger are $9. The climbing was cool but he could have just climbed at a park. He wasn't really into it, as toddlers have 50 different moods. There is a specific toddler area, shorter than 36 inches. I felt like this was more for crawlers. However older kids will play there. The parents don't follow the rules. My son played in the toddler area longer than the obstacles. There's block building, little baby slides, a watermelon rocker. There wasn't really a "in between" area. The slides at the obstacles are high for younger kids. There's cool balling shooting canyons. The place didn't seem dirty to me, but spring break crowds, this place was CHAOS The workers just stay at the front desk, they don't walk around and observe the place. read more

We visited Jump 'n Jammin last weekend for our little friend's sixth birthday. It was a fantastic party venue, in a big space attached to the Santa Anita Mall. I gather it's been around for a long time (my brother's girlfriend, born in the 90s, remembers it from when she was a kid), but it was pretty clean, and the equipment seemed well maintained. Jump 'n Jammin is a giant indoor playground with an arcade, a dining area, and at least one private room you can rent for parties. The centerpiece is an enormous tri-level play gym with all kinds of slides and climbing apparatuses. I went in for a while with our three-year-old, who had an absolute blast. He's on the timid side, but he really got in there, exploring the gym and blasting foam balls from various cannons. I wanted to talk to adults and kind of sneaked out at one point, and if he cried about it, well, I couldn't hear him. One downside of Jump 'n Jammin's size is that it is actually possible to lose sight of your child, and I did once go up all three levels in a mild panic before realizing he'd made his way to the adjacent, slightly smaller structure. He also loved the arcade section and prevailed on me to change $5 into quarters and play both air hockey and DDR, mostly by myself. He abandoned the DDR and I am apparently quite atrocious at stomping out those arrows. The party room was useful, both for food and cake and for a place to stow all the gear and presents. The staff seemed nice enough, though definitely hands off. Once in a while, there'd be a loud, crackly announcement through the speakers like we were in Squid Game. The bathroom situation was reportedly kind of gross, and my husband and son had to wait like 15 minutes while a grown man took a leisurely dump, complete with audible video. I appreciated the location within what must be America's most Asian mall. I failed to line us up in time for Din Tai Fung, but I did take advantage of the shops to buy a last-minute gift (many, many Pokémon cards) for the birthday boy. We don't live especially close to Jump 'n Jammin but I hope we get invited to more kid parties here. It's a great venue to almost-but-not-quite lose your child to loads of safe, boisterous fun. read more

It was just okay. For birthday parties, they only allow you to use the party room for one hour--I thought it would be longer. One hour really isn't enough for a full party, even though the kids can play for two hours. It felt a bit awkward inviting guests and having everyone wait in the play area for an hour before getting access to the party room. I understand that's how they manage things, but just sharing my thoughts--hopefully, the room time setup is something they can consider improving in the future. The staff were okay--they were at least nice to us--but the setup process during the birthday party was a bit confusing, from decorating the room and directing guests to the party room, which made things feel a little unorganized. We thought someone would be assisting in the party room during the event, but no one was there. A staff member showed up at the beginning, then returned at the end to tell us we had to leave 30 minutes early because we entered the room earlier than scheduled. I've come here recently with my daughters to attend a 6 year old birthday party. It was pretty fun place to host a birthday party. There is a room toward the back of the facility near the restrooms where you can host the party. As for the playground, my 4 and 6 year old have a lot of fun. Especially with the ball machines. They spend all their time collecting as many foam balls in the tote bags and bring them up to the machines that shoot them out. They can do this for hours! The only thing is that it does get pretty crowded on the weekends. read more

This place is really gross now. I'm not even sure if the owner even comes to check his place or he knows and don't care? Because the workers don't care at all. It's really dirty and dusty here, obviously every playground is expected to be dirty from all the people coming to play. But there is thick dust everywhere. Kids crawling on those playground can breathe those dust in. Slide is cover in dust. Balls are really in bad shape now and need to be replaced. Lots of balls are bitten. I forgot to take photo of the ball. But I will post dust photo. We stayed 4 hours for someone celebration and all 4 hours I did not see any worker come and wipe. When I told the employee, she literally gave me an attitude about it lol. And asked me where exactly it was because another person complained and she couldn't find it!!!! We booked and planned on going to FunBox but they told us 10min prior to our time that they were closed. Since we were already at the mall, we decided to take our kid here since we promised him we would take him somewhere to play. The place is big and it does help bring our kids energy out. However, its definitely the dirtiest play area we've been to. There was dust everywhere. The A/C was either off or not working because the inside was too warm to be comfortable. We went today and paid $18 plus socks at the front desk. The lead "manager" girl did not tell us there's a waitlist if we leave and enter again later. When we left, nobody told us there will be a waitlist and said we can come back in and out no problem. Then this girl said "I'm the manager, I'm not going to argue with you. I remembered you waited when you paid." Now she's lying. I'm like no I paid and she gave me a bin for shoes right away and we went inside and that's it. I did NOT know there's a waitlist. She was rude and didn't try to accommodate us at all. Asked her how long is wait she said I can't tell you there are 4 people so it could be a while but she won't give a time frame. If she told us when we left there's a waitlist, we would have signed our names earlier before coming back and tried to make sure we had enough time for wait. There's no signs saying that and she did not show me a waitlist till we tried to come back in. Horrible customer service and this manager is not trying to empathize or provide any customer service. She just kept trying to tell me I knew there's a waitlist. Wth. I even told her why would I lie? I wish there's a corporate manager or owner I can talk to so to make sure this manager doesn't forget to inform customers about this waitlist. That's switch and bait and is illegal. Like many, I came here with my youngest for a birthday party. The kids clambered about on the play structures, slides, and other odds and ends that shoot foam balls every which way while I settled in on one of the seating benches. If you're still afraid of COVID, you're gonna have a bad time. After the kids got out some wiggles, we gathered them all up in one of the reservable birthday rooms for pizza and cake. Plenty packed in there, too. A small tables n chairs area adjacent to the vending machines gave me a little space to stretch out and sit. The kids have a blast here, running amok and having fun with kids they don't know. Isn't that one of the best parts of being a kid? Pro-tip: no shoes allowed inside but socks required, so bring or wear socks. This makes for some good times if you have to go in the bathroom while You're there, but you can figure out the puddle two-step if you're a grown up parent, right? read more

This seems like a place that would have been amazing when it first opened, but things are a bit rundown. it has some unique features such as a bounce house and foam balls that you can feed into different contraptions. Very spacious, but the day we went was during the week, so I don't know how this place is on weekends. The only issue I have is allowing the teenage workers to pick the music- It was not inviting and brought the mood down. While there, the ages ranged from infant to 5 years old. Those kids don't want to hear moody teenage whining music. Made everyone feel sluggish and just overall gross. None of the kids or parents recognized the songs, nor did it bring a fun environment to the place. You wanna listen to that in your parent's basement, cool, but this is your work place. This isn't Urban Outfitters, it's not an indie cafe...this is a child's indoor playground. Also didn't help that the teens are just hanging out on their phones at the front desk, sitting on each other's laps, on the desk, on the floor to hide from actually working. I have visited this location a few times. Nothing too impressive but ideal location. This past Sunday when I was there they had NO AC at 107 degrees heat. REALLY? You have all these kids running around sweating! Not only was the place unpleasant the employees pay NO attention to their surroundings. We got there right at 11:15 and there was about 5 employees are front desk. You walk in no one said anything to me. I walked up and asked to be checked in. After about 20 minutes I noticed that ALL of the 5 employees were just on their phones. Normally, if the place is run correctly the employees should be walking about and checking up on things. It was the same thing the last time that I was there too. You have way too many staff doing essentially just checking in. Management: Please visit another indoor playground and see how engaging their employees are. There's little dimples in Montebello (very nice team members). Candeeland ( super pleasant and clean). Clean up the team and fix the AC! Parents DO NOT go! There's better places for your kids. Save you money! read more

We frequent Jump N Jammin but this is the first time we've visited the Arcadia location and it felt quite subpar compared to the one in West Covina. Although the layout is quite spacious and I like the way the structure is all connected, I had three main issues with this location. For one, the weather outside today was over 97 degrees. Hoping to find relief at an indoor playground remained just that...a hope. This place was hot and humid. I normally don't sweat that much but could feel that I was getting sticky and uncomfortable. I asked the employees about it and they mentioned it was this hot because it's very busy. Although busy is a subjective term, the West Covina one seemed 3-4 times more crowded than this and still felt nice. There were plenty of seats and tables open, kids weren't bumping into each other; I'd say it's pretty tame for a Saturday. Perhaps someone needs to take a look at their air conditioning system because you could only feel it (ever so slightly) in one or two locations. That and not all of their ducts were open. Second, was what seemed like a lack of maintenance. There was so much dust everywhere. Every surface dust could land on, it was there. I dont think it gets vacuumed as often as it should because you could tell it was a pretty heavy buildup. Part of the problem is the bad air circulation which could help alleviate this a bit in addition to vacuuming. Additionally, a few of their play equipment should be looked at. Some soft play stuff bad ripped corners and some protective foam pieces were torn which defeats their purpose. Third, the employees are all really young which isn't bad but I noticed they were more interested in talking to one another than implementing playground rules, especially in the toddler area. There would be big kids playing in the area, which honestly I don't mind so long as they are gentle in there when the toddlers are around. However, several were throwing objects quite hard and jumping off and landing on things. In fact, one kid jumped off and landed on a soft play structure that was upside down. I heard a loud thud which turned out to be his foot going through the particle board of that structure. He practically broke it and said it was fine. That same kid played with another big kid on a watermelon seesaw. He either got off super quickly or sprung fast on purpose which sent his friend flying (teeth first) into the metal gate. His friend instantly was spitting and crying. Playing like that is definitely not safe for toddlers who are just learning to walk and get their bearings. No employees came by to check on this area. They would mention it a few times over the speaker--even asking parents to please supervise their children, which I appreciated. But seeing how rules were being broken over and over again, they didn't come to actually enforce the rules. They just kept socializing. It is more crowded, and we arrived at 3 pm and had to wait roughly about 40 minutes because they have two birthday parties and the number of kids already exceeding the quota. They have different things than West Covina Mall. Dance Dance Revolution, Rock climbing for another $5. Concession area with three vending machine. This place is awesome and a little dangerous...so awesome, but it is like taking your kid to a busy park playground. I stayed with my two year old everywhere she went without much trouble. The three story main play structure is plenty tall for a 5'9" guy. As are the three story twisty slide and two story fair style racing slide. I always run defense and play with my daughter at places like this and she has a blast. Lots of 7-10 year olds running around unsupervised. Surprise!!! If you are concerned about your kids safety you do have to supervise them. This place could definitely use some maintenance on the play equipment and more regular cleaning as noted in some of the other reviews. read more

I took my kids here this past Sunday. They had fun, but when I climbed up the play structure with my toddler, I found it to be filthy dirty with dust piled high on various parts of the play structure. The next day both of my kids were ill. This can't be a good indication of proper hygiene being practiced by the staff and management. I'd also like to add that a child kept blocking the bottom of the 3 big slides, trying to climb up them while other kids were trying to slide down. Located at the Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia, I didn't even know this place existed until I came for a kid's bday party over a year ago, and came back for another one recently. I mean, why else would a grown-up come here if it weren't for the kids? * If you're here for a party: As you enter, there's a gatekeeper who asks which party you belong to, and you're given a color coded wrist-tag. Take off your shoes and go in. Your kid would probably run away at this point to climb, crawl, jump and side on the massive structure before you. It's colorful, stands 3 levels (not stories) and has enough obstacles to wear out even the most hyper kids. Keep an ear out for announcements. They will call your color when everyone wearing it should adjourn to a private room for food & cake. The kids will probably want to run out & play again. * If you're here just to bring the kids to a play area, then the staff at the counter will explain to you what types of packages they have. They're based on # of visits. Adults have to pay also. Adults can also run around the play structure, though they have to crouch, crawl and duck a lot more than kids, and it's more challenging to maneuver around in there. There are other adults (or older siblings acting as babysitters) that look absolutely bored, and they can be found at the seating area, where small bistro tables are flanked by vending machines. JJ is obviously set up for kids with enormous amounts of energy. Whether you're coming for a party or just want to let the kids act like lunatics, this is a great place for it. Notes: * Must wear socks. They will sell you marked up ones if you choose to ignore this tip * No outside food allowed, but drinks are OK. No dude, you can't bring liquor. * Bring band-aids, alcohol prep, antibacterial wipes and change of clothing for the kids.
