For Chinese buffet, I wasn't impressed. The $4.99 price is appealing but I have a feeling this place is hurting. The air-conditioning, if it was on, was up to 80. It was very warm in there. The server never refilled our drinks and the buffet was a mess. No one seemed to ensure it was clean and presentable. The sushi was falling a part and lots of the dishes seemed to be too greasy. I wanted to love this place since it's the only Asian buffet around. After over 10 visits in the past year, tonight was the night that I said goodbye. Their service has always been poor. A drink refill almost never comes, and if it does, it will be at the very end of your visit when they bring the check out to you. Food quality is hit or miss, but usually a miss unfortunately. Tonight was exceptionally bad. I arrived at 8pm, and half of the buffet was empty, and the other half was old food that looked worse for the wear. They close at 9:30pm, so I assumed 8pm was a safe time to visit, but that was not the case. They also closed the hibachi grill around 8:15. It's ridiculous I was charged full price for what was offered. They also recently increased the price of their buffet, but the quality did not benefit from that price increase. If you're considering this place, I'd advise you to consider any other Asian restaurant in La Grange, unless you have a strong desire for cold, bland, and sometimes nonexistent food, with a wait "staff" that wouldn't even clean up a small puddle of water on the floor where there was a lot of foot traffic (they did put up one of those 'caution' cones however). read more

My family and I LOVE Jumbo Buffet! It's cheap and good. It's great for everyone the kids and the grown ups. They have a wide selection of beer and alcohol. And they have foods that the kids love (chicken tenders and french fries). The staff is so nice they're always trying to give you the best deal. And when they deliver they are always fast. The Jumbo Buffet was better when the price was $4.99 because at that price one can suffer the cold, impersonal, unsmiling, unfriendly and even hostile attitude of the servers or the "seaters". Their manner is brusque and quite rude. "What you want to drink?" is the first question asked without even acknowledging your presence or that you are there to support their business. The food is quite good and tasty. There is variety in the entrees and they are quick to replenish the trays so there is always a full .. well, almost full, tray most of the time. I would like to comment on the cleanliness of the ice cream area because it does not appear to be clean right around where the ice cream scoop is. My suggestion is for the servers to smile and welcome the diners a little. Some of us are old and just want to get out to have good food. But to be served with grumpy servers, the appetite goes away quickly. This is important as we dont ask for more. We tip. But for what? Service in the buffet consists in delivering the water, taking away the plates. In spite of the ugly attitude, we still tip as it is customary. Next time, I will reconsider the tip issue because to leave that place as if I wronged them to have them treat me without respect is a lot of weight for me to carry around. I will not recommend them on this account. But if they can stomach rudeness and unpleasantness, it is not a bad place to eat. read more

The food is not good at all, better off going to the Chinese place near Dairy Queen. I swear to god, every single time I have eaten there, a child between the ages of 9-12 waits on me. Ordered online...no food came for over one hour. When I called they said that the online ordering doesn't work. The lady that answered could not understand English. Got here early to beat rush. Still didn't have buffet ready, had to wait. Service staff wasn't checking on customers had to get our own refills. Chef was observed in restroom not washing his hands after using the facilities. Had to wait to get our check. It will be a long while before we drive 22 miles for this again. read more

Jumbo Buffet is my favorite place to eat. The food is absolutely delicious everything is always hot and cooked just right. Plus the staff is super nice and cooperative. First, keep in mind it's a $5 all you can eat Chinese buffet. The selection is pretty good and most of the offerings are tasty. Plenty of parking and seating, and the people are friendly. Good place to fill up for cheap. However, the sushi, salad bar, and desserts are a little sketchy. Also, the decor is atrocious, and I'm not 100% sure the place is sanitary. My son and I decided to stop here one evening, and the place was very busy, but we were seated quickly and service was good. The food tasted...off, but I considered that it's a $4.99 buffet and wasn't expecting anything great. My husband and I just finished lunch at jumbo Buffett. The food was greasy and had very little flavor. We will not be going back.

We eat there all the time, With the price being $4.99 its really hard to pass up. The service is great, And the staff are very friendly! Its normally really quiet in there, and the variety of food is pretty good! They restock the food often! I was not impressed with the grill though, its not very clean and the meat is very fatty. I do not know what the other person is talking about. Jay and Jenny are the owners at the buffet and they will cook food to order even if it is not on the buffet. Stay away! Rude owner - actually mean. They gave us the wrong food for out take out and then called and wanted it back!! Disgusting - my husband took it back and they gave it to another couple waiting on sidewalk! So illegal. My husband told her how rude she was and we would never be back. My kids love eating here. They would give it a five. I however do not feel the same way. The decor is out dated, the resturant needs to be cleaned badly, and they have a small child on the cash register ( which really bothers me). The ladies that work here flirt with my kids which is creepy and for so reason I feel very uneasy here. The food is sketchy because I am not always sure what exactly I'm eating and they keep the food out for very long periods of time. When we order take out they just throw whatever is old and on the buffet in our order; it is not fresh. read more
