I dropped by this cafe in search of baked goods and it did not disappoint. I got the strawberry and cream croissant and it was HEAVENLY, devoured it before I could take a photo. They had a great assortment of items and I wish I could try them all. They're located in a great space, huge area with loads of tables to work on near Medici on Springdale. Enough parking too, I can't wait to be back!

Cute little French bakery serving baked goods, desserts and coffee. If they aren't out in front, ring the bell for assistance. Food is tasty, but a tip - they don't warm it up for you.

A very large selection of treats at the farmers market. It's like they brought their whole store to the market! I really liked the more complex treats (i.e. macarons, quiche) more than the traditional items (i.e. baguette, pain au chocolat). Macarons: Definitely the priciest thing I bought at $21 for a 7-pack, but these were really good macarons. All of them had the perfectly aged shell that was crispy on the outside and chewy inside. The filling taste intensity kinda increased as you traveled down the rainbow. The violet seem to have a very subtle floral flavor and the blue kinda sorta tasted like blueberry a little. But by the time you hit yellow, there was a deliciously pungent lemon aroma. Just like the pungent orange colored passionfruit and the tangy red raspberry. Definitely had to pace myself so not to eat these delicacies too fast. Spinach Goat Cheese Quiche: A very hearty breakfast option. I actually put it in the microwave a minute to warm it up and it was quite nice that way. Love love love the big mount of goat cheese in the middle. Helps balance all the green veggie stuff (i.e. spinach). The egg part isn't too "eggy", since it was probably diluted with cream bit. Pain au Chocolat: Didn't seem to have the same flaky texture as other pain au chocolats I've had. Like was it made fresh that morning or made yesterday? The chocolate was tasty though and it was fine when paired with morning coffee. Baguette: Wasn't a huge fan. The exterior didn't seem that crusty. It reminded me a little of grocery store baguettes. Had a good chew texture though.

Amazing pastries! I'm definitely coming back to try some more as soon as I burn off the puffy, buttery prosciutto & arugula croissant, so scrumptious it melted in my mouth. To top it off, I ended with a nicely caramelized egg tart, also great, but definitely the croissant took the crown for me between them two. The coffee leaves wanting more, but you can't have it all! Pro tip: buy your pastries and snacks at Julie's then head to Medici's next door for some prime pour over cup o' Joe. Service is great, but I almost took a bag full of sandwiches. If I wouldn't have looked, I would've been just ended with 5 sandwiches instead of 2. Be on the lookout for your order, as somebody else might jack yours. Or maybe their service process can be updated to take names I'm definitely coming back for more!!!

I happened to discover Julie Myrtille while visiting its neighbor Uroko. Located in the creative community at Springdale General, this patisserie offers a wide selection of baked goods, sandwiches and salads artfully displayed. Everything looked really good but I only had time to pickup some of the macarons. These brightly colored morsels were delicious and well executed, fresh with a light and thin crispy layer encasing a tender pillow of meringue. The jam fillings have a brightness that is not too sweet and bursting with fruit flavor. I plan to sample more here on a future visit. The only negative for me is that these macarons were kinda pricey- a half dozen for $18 is a bit high. It's worth a visit if you're in the area.

I love Julie Myrtille's baked goods! I have tried a few different things. The spinach and goat cheese quiche is probably my favorite. The goat cheese was buttery but tart and it was the perfect size quiche to fill you up if you're hungry or to split with someone if you're feeling like sharing. I wasn't feeling like sharing and devoured this whole. And that's exactly what I've done with all of the other things I've tried here.

Someone explain to me how this slice of lemon cake is $6. Complete rip off. Go to Paris and have the real thing and I guarantee you it's not $6. Austin is becoming ridiculous. Business price gauging everywhere for sub par quality.

Honestly when I first looked at this place I thought everything was expensive. Never been to France but maybe that's typical. However I do believe the quality is there. I tried their prosciutto and arugula baguette sandwich. For $11 I was really disappointed by the size but such simple ingredients it tasted really good. I just wish it the portion help make up for the price, like I should've received twice the amount of sandwich. Also the service there didn't seem to friendly, but that is just my first impression.

It was so moist, and the frostings/fillings weren't too sweet or overpowering. All her ingredients are fresh and you can really tell this is a handmade masterpiece. She has countless unique and classic flavors to choose from and you can customize as well. All of our guests LOVED it and raved about it for days after. Whenever I asked guests if they had tried the cake yet, most people said they'd tried at least two of the flavors, if not all three. The tasting and ordering process was also so easy, and Mariah is a such a sweet person and very professional to work with. I can't recommend Rayne Desserts enough.

It was everything I envisioned and then more! When friends ask to see pictures of our wedding I show pictures of the cake first. Rayne let us pick up samples of the flavors we wanted to try. She made full 2 full sized cupcakes for us to try. We were able to cut them in pieces and include family members in the tasting! We ended up picking the Strawberries and Champagne flavor. It tasted wonderful and was a perfect "romantic " wedding flavor. I let Mariah know I wanted a two tier naked frosted cake with silver foil. I got just that with the most gorgeous piping I have ever seen! It was better than I could have pictured. Also, my florist brought over a bunch of random flowers. Mariah picked the perfect ones and arranged them flawlessly on the cake. Rayne Dessert is a rare find. I would recommend her for ANY event! 10/10 She made my wedding day so special because of how beautiful the cake was!
