One small suggestion I would have preferred high level updates of where we are during root canal. However Dr Slykhous did a good job explaining afterwards and even showed me the updated x-ray which was nice. They place a temporary sealant which doesn't feel secure but seemed to be standard and they said can last up to 3 weeks. I'm satisfied with the work however the pricing is on the expensive side even with insurance so the value doesn't match the cost. Also they charge for an evaluation. Hopefully I won't need their services again as the cost would likely prevent me from returning.

My experience here has been subpar, and extremely unprofessional (they hung up on me when I tried…read moreto call). I was a self-pay patient and was informed that my evaluation included imaging as clinically necessary. During my visit, multiple X-rays and two CBCT scans were obtained and interpreted by the provider. I paid the quoted self-pay amount in full ($155) and was later informed by the office that I had no outstanding balance related to the visit itself. However, after requesting copies of my CBCT imaging records, I was told there would be a $200 "copying fee" to obtain the scans. I offered to provide my own storage device and retrieve the files in person, but was told the fee would remain the same. I was then told that the office had not charged me for the CT earlier "as a courtesy," despite previously indicating that my balance from the visit was fully paid. Their explanations on this fee do not logically hold up, especially when under HIPAA, patients have a right to their medical records and a fee MAY be charged if reasonable (e.g. such as associated costs for burning a CD, aka a few dollars). I am so disappointed by how they handled everything as a first time patient and will never come back. I hope others carefully consider whether it is necessary to find treatment with this dentist, as there are many who are kinder and do not engage in underhanded practice.
