I asked for bananas instead of berries on top, usually they fill it all the way, not this time. I always get a drizzle of honey on top and this doesn't look like a drizzle. I called asking for a refund when I got home minutes later and the manager told me to freeze the bowl and bring it back because she wouldn't refund me if I consumed the bowl(didn't plan to w/all that honey). I wasn't going to drive back for a refund either. They handled the situation poorly and spoke to me in a petty manner. This is the first issue I've had coming here and I'm shocked that their response was as bad as it was.. the manager constantly telling me that she wanted to hear out her employee first and that it couldn't be possible they put so much honey in there because the employee was sure they only put the "normal" amount. read more

Also, the cup they use is really wide so hard to hold with one hand, and deep so it's hard to get to all the layers without the toppings getting knocked out. I used to love coming here and their smoothie bowls are so good but the service is wild. I've called in a few times to order over the phone to pick up and the workers are rude, don't even greet you - I am greeting them. I called once at 5pm to pick up and after giving the lady my order she just said "you know we close at 6 right?" (I didn't ask - and I already knew that) and I said "oh okay" and she said "okay bye." Usually food places will repeat the order and confirm the name it is under and let you know it will be ready within X minutes and let you know the total. Additionally, when I've gone to pick up my orders the workers have slammed the smoothies down and just over all are rude/passive aggressive. It's such a shame because it was my favorite smoothie place in Orange County but for this kind of service I will no longer go there. read more

I've stopped by this spot multiple times. What attracted me immediately was it's location right off the 55 fwy onto Newport Blvd before hitting the busy 17th street. When I saw the name "Jujubar", I sang "juju on that beat. Ayeeee". Obviously I had to check this place out because of that. I'm a huge fan of açaí bowls, but this has got to be one of the creamiest I've had. I love getting the Tiger Bowl as I'm a big nut butter adventurer. It must be the chocolate almond milk, but wow. This one is so simple with its ingredients but extremely flavorful. If you're a peanut butter lover and love some fresh fruits, this is a great stop post workout, breakfast, any-time-of-day meal. read more

i love jujubar!! mainly because the portions are HUGE and it's easy to order off the menu. there's a large variety of acai bowls and drinks to choose from. i have only had their acai bowls because they never disappoint. there's a small parking lot in front of the store, but i've never had trouble finding a spot. i usually get the tiger bowl, which is a blend of chocolate almond milk, acai, banana, and peanut butter. the peanut butter and chocolate flavor does not overwhelm the acai, so it really is a perfect blend of these flavors. the fruit toppings are always delicious and refreshing, and the granola adds a nice crunchy texture. highly recommend this bowl!! but just choose something that you think you'd like off the menu and it'll be yummy! i also recommend sharing or freezing the bowl for later if you can't finish. read more

What a hidden gem and an AMAZING deal. Holy crap!! Normally, large acai bowls are $13 or more so I was shook when I found out Jujubar bowl size for the very reasonable price. They range from $8-10 for huge, generous portions, and they are so delicious and worth. The acai blend is rich and creamy, and the fruit is so fresh! I also really like how you can substitute anything for free. Their menu is quite extensive, so I had a hard time deciding but I went with the Amazon Bowl and my sister got the Tiger Bowl. Both were great and everything is made fresh to order. I loved the peanut butter flavor in the Tiger Bowl. They have a pretty efficient takeout system, and we were in and out quick. This shop is located in a really small plaza so it's always a hit or miss when trying to find parking with its limited spaces. The customer service is very polite and friendly, and are happy to give you a list recommendations and popular items. I noticed that they're very popular for their açai bowls and I'll definitely try and review them one day, but for now, all my Jujubar love is directed towards their smoothies. My favorite smoothie is the Blue Banana; if you're a fan of non-tangy smoothies, I would recommend getting this one. My partner loves tangy and sweet smoothies, and his go-to is the Hawaiian Dream. They make your order at a very decent pace, whether it be crowded or not, when it comes to ordering at the shop in person. (ADVICE!) My #1 Top choice Acai bowl destination. I really wish they would expand and open everywhere but that might ruin the amazing quality so maybe not. I've been coming for years and am such a lazy person I finally am getting to this review now because I didn't want to write something brief and not give this place the recognition and justice it deserves! By far the largest portions AND lowest prices AND highest quality ingredients I have found in an Acai bowl. Can never finish it in one sitting. There's a humongous menu of bowls to choose from. I usually like to get the standard with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and granola because why mess with a good thing. They are super flexible about making adjustments to ingredients or toppings. Instead of apple juice base I subbed almond milk at no charge. You can switch any of the toppings on the pre created bowls except for some premium items I believe. I love that they offer the unsweetened Acai base even though it is $1 extra. Not a lot of places have this option but I really enjoy the pure Acai flavor and health benefits without the unnecessary sweetness. Staff are sweet and work as quickly as they can.
