Found this cute little cafe by chance, because the one I wanted to visit was overly packed. There was a big sign outside advertising glutenfree and vegan food with a big exclamation "WE LOVE ORGANIC FOOD". Have to admit, I was an easy target. I was hungry and Copenhagen is still developing when it comes to glutenfree lunch options.
The interior of Juize'n'Booze is cozy and filled with an array of cute furniture, where every piece is unique. The furniture and rugs remind of Arabic coziness, while African statues and masks decor the walls. In between are board games and urban magazines. Although the place is small, it offers quietude and a sense of privacy wherever you sit.
But design aside. Let's talk about food!
Glutenfree soups and salads, vegan sandwiches and soups, coffee and tea drinks, and a number of fresh-pressed juice options. I ordered a chicken salad. It was a nice portion and was served with nuts, seeds, pesto and oil. A bit on the salty side, but good and filling. The price was 80 KR - a bit pricey, but then again it's Copenhagen..
Overall, a great place to chill a bit and get a bite to eat for lunch. Also suitable for reading and working on a laptop. The food was a bit salty, but I'll definitely keep the place in mind for meeting friends for afternoon tea, and maybe a game of backgammon. read more
