I really wanted to love this place. The bowl I had was delicious and even though some of the ingredients were a bit too crunchy and kept getting in my teeth, the flavor of everything was delicious. If the rating was just for the bowls then five stars for sure. But when you're paying that much, you also want to have a great experience. My husband and I walked in and the guy taking orders was taking one over the phone. The other guy was making someone else's order. This meant that we stood there for about five minutes with nobody assisting us as they figured out this delivery order. After they took our order we went up to the seating area and were happy to find a large selection of games and books. We read about things white people like and played Connect Four while we waited. Thank god they have those things to entertain yourself because the wait time was long. The bowls were gorgeous so I'm sure they're made with care, but we came in for a quick snack. Oh, and they were out of spoons. How do you run out of spoons?! Still looking for the perfect acai bowl experience in Chicago! read more

Expensive but real good. I had a matcha bowl and it was a delicious, plentiful meal. Super fresh fruit and the matcha was ok, didn't have the depth I wanted but it wasn't too sweet which I was delighted by. Nice folks in here and very busy. read more

Macro maca is delicioso! I have to say for a juice chain, I had low expectations since many other chain juice places serve watered-down drinks like Protein Bar. This was a lovely little shop that felt like a neighborhood cafe, and the macro maca is rich, nourishing and filling. What more could you ask for from an afternoon smoothie?! I noticed board games in the back and a number of people hanging out - good vibes all around. I will definitely be back to try a smoothie bowl and some of their other offerings next time I'm in the area. read more

JuiceRx is my go to place for amazing yummy juices that are actually healthy and not filled with sugary substances. This place actually also makes DELICIOUS bowls. I can't even recommend one because they are all delicious so it depends what you are in the mood for. You can also add extra shots or other items if you want. They also sell snacks which are pretty yummy as well. Their kale chips are amazing, When it comes to pricing they are not on the cheap side but that's due to the quality of the products that they use. Quick tip: if you have their app you can actually get discounts every time you order so I highly recommend. read more

A cool place to get an açaí bowl here in Bucktown. Every bowl is made to order so you know it's fresh. They are able to make ingredient substitutions which is helpful because someone on my order was allergic to bananas so they were able to make a substitute. The staff is friendly and helpful during this time of masking and gloving. Overall I'm very happy with my order and I will be back. read more

I had my first ever açai bowl here. I could imagine having this several days a week. Absolutely delicious and a good way to get some fruit in your diet. Eric is the master açai bowl maker. He's super nice and knowledgeable about the menu and products, and he's happy to offer you samples. He was also kind enough to run after me with my umbrella, which I forgot there! The açai bowl tasted so fresh and will freshen you up. They have vegan whipped cream made of coconut. The sprouted almond butter topping is a delight. read more

Usually I'm really satisfied with what I order but again my Green Magnolia tastes like they left something out. It just tastes like grass when it usually isn't the case. Look, I know I'm being peak millenial going into a juice shop so I can drink my greens. I knoooowwww. But sometimes when you're coming home from your bougie fitness class at the overpriced gym with all the amenities you love and you are just huuuungry. So you just need an overpriced smoothie. It's a neccesity. And while you hate the price of the smoothie, you love how full you feel without that lethargic feeling you get after Saturday morning brunch. I know I'm talking about a specific scenario but I swear juice shops only survive because I'm not the only one who thinks like this. I came in and ordered the Green Magnolia smoothie. It was delicious. I hate myself because it was $11 before the discount (I got a discount through the Yelp check-in). It had things I know that are good for me and a few things I'm assuming are also good for me: Almond Milk, Banana, Avocado, Spinach, Raw Sprouted Almond Butter, Vitamineral Greens, Maca, Moringa, Medjool Dates, Tocotrienols. It was a thick green smoothie with some sweetness from the dates. I loved it. I'll probably get it again. Why? Because I love my 8am gym class on Saturday mornings. This place made me feel like I was at home, I mean literally I thought they had one of these in Venice, CA because everything about it screamed LA. The setup was very cool, had the bar/counter setup out front, fridge and display full of ready to go drinks and snacks, and upstairs they had the sitting area with books, and plenty of space to get work done. The design was modern contemporary with wood, clean lines, and small plants everywhere. The menu was pretty straight forward, smoothies, bowls, toast and other small bites. I ordered their classic Acai and it didn't disappoint. Like many other places, they let you add/subtract and customize it to your liking. The servers were useful in recommendations and they really came through in the clutch for me by letting me use a phone charger as my iphone was on it's last leg. Pricing was pretty standard, nothing over the top. Their is street parking out front, across the street and along the side streets. Overall the vibe and feel of the place will definitely having me come back whenever I'm back in town. read more

Beautiful and delicious, but expensive and slow, acai bowl. We ordered the Fruit Alchemist and HarleQuin Monkey bowls. Those look very georgous. Everything looks high quality. We loved the taste of them. The down side was they were kinda expensive at $12 + tax each for a bowl. And they were very slow to make our order (we waited about 30 minutes) since there were only two people and they can only make one bowl at a time. I think it's good for people who like to pay a lot for a "healthy" meal, but for other people I'd rather go somewhere else. read more

Juices, smoothies, and açaí bowls for that post workout treat? check! I stopped by this Bucktown location after a Saturday run and enjoyed picking up the turmeric sunrise juice. I LOVE turmeric and usually get that as my go-to juice for the possible neurocognitive benefits. The turmeric sunrise consisted of turmeric, ginger, honey, lemon, orange, and pepper. It provides a good kick while still being refreshing. I can drink the bottle in small sips over time and still satisfy my craving for juice. At $9.50 per bottle, it's a bit pricey but sometimes you just gotta treat yourself when you're getting a high quality cold-presses juice from a local chain. read more

Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because there's places in the city that you can get the same if not better quality for less money. If you want to do a juice cleanse call ahead to be sure they have everything in stock for your cleanse because they can sell out quick. This juice was honestly just bad. I understand that when you pack a bunch of green veggies into a drink it's usually not the most appetizing thing in the world but most juice places know how to sweeten them up a bit to make them drinkable. This was not the case here. Not even sure of the name of the juice that I got but the basil in completely threw off the flavor and I literally could not even finish it. My wife got one of their immunity booster things and once again that was barely drinkable. My brother in law got a juice that was pretty good so that was the only positive. Can't say anything about the smoothies or bowls but I would pass on the juice. read more

Stopped in here as I have been wanting to come for some time and I couldn't be happier! I will try to come here every time I'm in the city. The service was excellent, super friendly, and helpful (employees name was Erik). We decided to try one of the drinks in the giant fridges and then one acai bowl. we got the fruit alchemist acai bowl and it was so refreshing! They put some coconut whipped cream, which is made in house, on top & it was the perfect final touch. The drink we got was called liquid love, which I was crazy about because I'm a Harry Potter fan, it was also just as great. I can' wait to come back and try more. read more

Such a cute place and worth a try, especially if you're not sure how to make a great smoothie or bowl yourself! But, the wait, like others have mentioned, is LONG even when there's not that many other people waiting. The staff really wasn't that friendly... For myself, I felt like I paid way too much and spent far too long here for a smoothie I could have made myself. I stand by this company so strongly- from the quality of their products to the quality of their customer service. I have been doing periodic cleanses with JuiceRx for the last year and have such an amazing experience every time. This last time there was a miscommunication with my order and it ended up having to be delivered outside of the store's operating hours. This is my third time in Chicago, and I make sure to visit JuiceRx every time. Their menu has a huge amount of variety and the juices are cold pressed. My friend and I were genuinely suprised how sweet the drink and smoothie bowl we ordered was. It was way too sweet to be considered "healthy". I got the alchemist fruit bowl and he got the black Pheonix smoothie and the bases for both those items were just way too sweet. Kinda disappointed, we didn't finish either item because we didn't want to crash from all the sugar we felt like we were consuming. Felt like two deserts, without proper care on how much sweetness to add to make it compliment the sweetness of the fruit. Anyways, maybe the juices here are better? read more

AMAZING. I'm a sucker for a good juice bar. I love healthy superfoods, smoothies and snacks. And after watching "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" (Google it), I'm a juice devotee. I've only been here twice so far but am already dreaming of my next trip. I've had the bottled juice, which I found to be fresh and delicious, and prices were average for good juice. But my last trip was a game changer. Acai bowl. Boom. They have not 1, not 2, but 3 different varieties. And they are absolutely huge. I couldn't even eat half of mine so it served as a wonderful meal of leftovers. Prices were great, especially considering it was 2 meals. I've read other reviews about slow service, but there is usually only 1 person working so cut them some slack. The product is high quality and that is worth the wait. Meet the Business Owner: Dean K.

Dean has always been fascinated with health and wellness, but he didn't realize just how important it was until shortly after graduating from college. Stress and a less-than-optimal diet in college were silently degrading his health until it led to an autoimmune disorder called Ulcerative Colitis. For this, traditional medicine knows no cause, and it knows no cure. Per the doctor's recommendation, treatment for this disease required a lifelong regimen of pills, but Dean quickly learned the medications were neither safe nor sustainable long-term. Dean's belief was that many diseases stem from imbalances in the gut, and with more questions than answers, he set out on a quest to take control back. Within months of embracing a diet rich in raw, organic cold-pressed juice and other wholesome, plant-based foods, he found himself completely cured of a disease that modern medicine calls incurable. Through JuiceRx, Dean continues to educate and help others achieve great health.

Then I got the PB Toast and I'm still asking myself why I hesitated to pay $6.99 for it. GAWD it was amazing. Crispy bread, peanut butter, banana, strawberries, blueberries, honey drizzle. The best $6.99 piece of toast I have ever had in my life. Because I clearly have no self-control I also grabbed the spinach and cheese empanada and malbec and beef empanada. No words. Everything was fantastic. Every single item was a joy to inhale and I will absolutely do it again. The DoorDash pick-up was super easy and the staff was incredibly friendly. The only minor gripe is they don't provide bags so I had to carry everything individually walking home, which was slightly annoying. But honestly the food, the vibes, and the experience? 10 out of 10. Will be back.

The açaí tasted exactly like the açaí served at Costco. It was decent enough and my friend's was similar, but oof, the prices aren't worth it. If I'm in a pinch and want something different than a smoothie, I'll consider stopping by again. But I can't say I'd really make coming back here a priority. It's stuff I can make at home for an eighth of the price.

They were also very willing to adjust or remake a drink when needed, which I appreciated. Overall, it's a cute spot with great service, but I genuinely cannot accept the price-to-drink ratio. One thing that could improve the experience would be having a staff member outside providing estimated wait times. Without any updates, it was difficult for guests to know how long the line would take, especially since the restaurant becomes very busy and closes relatively early. From what I could see, the interior looked beautiful, modern, and very clean. Overall, despite the long wait, the food was well worth trying. If you plan to visit, I recommend arriving early or placing an online order to save time.
