Every time I came to a path fork I took the trail heading away from the interior. So, it was a delight to cover the perimeter and finally explore areas I hadn't been in before. However, the lack of trail markers--even at the forks--meant much of the time I had little idea where I was. The trail map was no help and only by checking the sun's position and knowing where the river was did I have an idea of the general direction I was headed. That was frustrating. I kept thinking how a walker wouldn't know where they were, nor how far they were from the next fork that could take them back to Bangert's entrance. Beyond that, the island's trails are fairly easy. Paths nearest the River Road and along the north are solid and mostly flat. Trails along the river are sandy with frequent dips and switchbacks. I began by heading north toward Interstate 70 and its traffic roar. Once I made the turn south and biked further from the bridge the noise subsided and the ride became more serene. However, the trail also got narrower. Trees close in and it's easy to snag a handlebar or pedal. There were a few small tree trunks across the trail--part of the fun of mountain biking--but most were level with the ground. A few trunks showed recent evidence of large trees having been cut to allow the path to run between the sections. Carey in what you need: There are no facilities of any sort here.

Would love to give this a 5 star review, but went on the Slough Loop Trail and got about a mile…read moreinto the "loop" and hit a dead end with lots of downed trees and heavy brush covering the trail, with no real way to get around. Had to backtrack and try another trail. That trail was open with no dead ends. Hopefully St. Charles County parks will clear the downed trees this winter and open all the trails once again for Spring 2022. Anyway, nice overlook of the Missouri River just south of the I-70 Blanchette Bridge. The trails are mostly wooded with several spots that have views of the river.

We browsed around the store anyway and I was very impressed by the concept. Many people come in here for foot support. You tell staff what foot issues you are having, and they will figure out solutions on why your foot is having the issues, find you a shoe and or insert to help your gait. They have an area where you can walk to test out the feel I'm guessing before you make your purchase. They have men and women shoes, sandals, socks, accessories and apparel. Brand shoes like Brooks and Hoka are available as well. I also saw a side room with treadmills and other work out sections as well. Staff was friendly and appeared to be knowledgeable. Check them out !

Danny helped us with the fitting process. He was so kind and helpful. He went over the fitting information thoroughly after the scan. He also offered my partner to try a couple pairs of shoes they have in stock. Unfortunately, I was not sold on either of them. I ended up purchasing Feetures socks here since they are having promotion "buy 4 get 5th pair free". The store is very clean and nice arrangement. They carry variety of brands like Hoka, Brooks, On, etc. Overall, I was very pleased with their customer service. I definitely recommend Fleet Feet! It's super valuable to get your feet scanned, and staff here are very knowledgeable about what shoes will fit your feet's profile/gait best.

Called to make an appointment and they were very honest that it would take about 2 weeks before they would most likely be able to get to it. Dropped it off and was told the same thing. Good on the consistent messaging. very professional on the drop off. Received a call about 2 weeks later as promised with very detailed explanation of what it was going to take for the repairs. Was impressed that the technician found where a bolt was missing and they had to order it which would take 3-5 days. gave me confidence that that the machine was inspected fully since that was a hard find. got a call in about 6 or 7 days telling me that my SeaDoo was ready for pick up. Stopped to pick it up and took it straight to the lake. fired right up and runs like it was new. I thought about 4 stars for the beginning communication issues but the rest of the interactions were so top notch that I thought that would be too critical. You just might want to work on the initial contact with the customer. Good job to everyone involved. Document #455279 if that helps identify I came into contact with.
