Of all the times I have come it has only been fully blended twice. I would prefer it if they spent a little more time blending. I came here to order an acai bowl, which was $9+. I wish they would have told me about this extra $0.50 charge below $10 using card. There wasn't a sign either! If there was, I didn't see anything. Who charges for using a card anyways? The acai bowl was a decent size for the cost. It is a bit slushy and less flavorful than what I've had in Hawaii. I've been searching for places that live up to the islands, and have not yet found a place. The bowl is large enough for two people to share. Juice Zone is A-Ok in my book. I've been in here a couple times for juice when I was hitting up Petfood Express. The juices taste fresh and they have a cute little store where you can buy workout nutrition (like I bought electrolyte gummies for after bikram). This place is by no means cheap, for example, the Acai bowls are like $10 bucks! However I do feel like the quality is good and they have a pretty big menu of smoothies, juice, bowls etc so I suppose if you live in the area, this could be your go-to healthy place (if you're in need of juice or too lazy to drive to vitality bowls). I am writing this review after the third time having the same experience as what I am about to share. This incident occurred today 7/26/2023. The smoothies here are fantastic but their customer service is HORRENDOUS. Today my daughter and teammate showed up to order smoothies. There were two other small groups already waiting for their orders. Within 5 minutes a rush of at least 15 more people arrived (mostly soccer groups which is a normal thing in our area) and started putting in orders. Over the next 15 minutes I watched as these groups who arrived well after us, (who had walked in and ordered no call ahead orders or anything like that) were served their orders before my kids. After seeing at least 3 groups of 3-4 kids/teens receive their orders, I walked in and went right to the register and asked about the status of our order. The owner/manager was very rude to me, and I am not proud to admit it, but I was very rude right back. I made it clear that we had been waiting for 20 minutes as of that time and that I had watched multiple groups of people who ordered behind us be served before us. Her response, "We are very busy". She showed me her scratch paperwork that looked like a bingo card as to how they were keeping track of orders. They couldn't even find our order and had to ask me which smoothies we ordered. Sadly, ours had not even been started yet. This is the third time in the last few months that this has happened. It is obvious that this owner has no consideration for the people who regularly support her business. They have no way of reliably tracking their order generation and they have no way of knowing who ordered first. We ordered 2 basic smoothies. These smoothies are already overpriced, I don't expect to have to wait 25 minutes to get 2 smoothies. This is definitely the best smoothie place I have ever been to. It is a little on the expensive side, but they pack a lot of flavor in those things. And the prices are comparable to Jamba Juice. I have FINALLY tried this infamous juicery, and I can happily admit that it's taste and quality lives up to its hype. I ordered the strawberry banana smoothie, which pretty much all my friends recommended. AMAZING. A thousand times better than Jamba Juice. I love that the flavors are equally distributed and not overbearing. The drink was blended to perfection, without ice bits or fruit chunks. I think what makes this place better is the straw size. It's a small detail, but it makes the experience of consuming this beautiful drink worthy of 5 stars. Because the straw is the size of a boba straw, there's no struggling to suck up the drink. I've been here three times now and am very impressed with this unassuming little juice/smoothie bar. They appear to have a large variety of smoothie options. They had 11 regular smoothies, 25 power smoothies, and 3 acai smoothies. On visit number one I tried the acai #2 smoothie which boasted cranberry juice, strawberry, blueberry, banana, and acai/guarana as ingredients. It was simply fabulous! On visit number two I tried one of the 'regular' smoothies, the mango-pineapple. I took this one home and put it in the fridge and enjoyed it bit by bit. 24 hours later it still hadn't separated and was just as yummy as when I first bought it. My mom is recovering from some major colon surgery last week and has been very limited in what she can eat without ill effects, but their mango-mango smoothies are the one thing we can always tempt her with. She's had one almost every day since the surgery. This place is not just about smoothies, though, they also carry a full line of muscle milk, vitamins, skin care products, two different rack of protein bars, nuts, chips, and handmade soft gourmet pretzels. I really enjoy their smoothies but after today I don't think I'll be back. I ordered the Monaco Mango- really tasty but after a few sips in I noticed pieces of what looked like tiny fibers coming out of each sip. I figured it was pieces from the pineapple but after a few more sips it kept getting worse. I tried pulling the "fibers" apart and they were really tough so I knew it wasn't the fruit. I went back to show the girls working and two of them saw the "fibers." A third girl comes and opens the drink and rudely says "well I don't see anything." The two coworkers had to tell her they saw the issue for her to believe me. I politely asked if I could just have a different flavor in a smaller size and she rudely told me "well we don't usually remake smoothies but I'll do it this one time." I was so taken aback. After remaking the smoothie the girl then hands me the drink and in a snarky tone said "let me know if you find any string in there." Customer service is not their priority. I used to love coming to this place, especially to support small local businesses. And I hate admitting this but I used to never pay attention to how much I'm being charged and sort of ignored the fact that they use styrofoam cups. I say ignored because I once asked the owner about it and she proceeded to try to tell me how styrofoam was better than the paper cups that Starbucks used next door (what?). Be wary when you cannot find a list of the ingredients (printed or online) and there is a reason your smoothie tastes so good. What's the calorie count? I agree with many of the other posts here about how the owner is rude to her employees and no one ever seems happy to be there. I am so disappointed, I have been coming to Juice Zone for years, but it seems they have a new owner, not the nice couple who had been running it for decades. The new owner was one of the rudest ladies I have ever come across. Without going into too many details the owner made me a smoothie, I didn't request. Maybe it was the language barrier, but bottom line I got something with kale and spinach when that's not what I ordered. I'm all for smoothies with greens in them, but I ordered banana strawberry and what they made me tasted so awful I couldn't help but go back multiple times to talk about how displeased I was. The owner wouldn't just make me a new smoothie and when I finally asked to just get my money back because I didn't want it, she refused saying that that's what I ordered. My 12.70 medium juice cup broke - before I even took a sip (btw covering my car usb ports with juice and costing me hundreds in service repairs) and the owner refused to give me a replacement juice despite getting a juice there nearly everyday. I have been a regular customer of Juice Zone for about 5 years and their smoothies are certainly delicious. It's all because of the mystery coconut oil and "dairy free" base that make their smoothies taste extra good. I have recently started eating plant based and was only then informed (after years of being told otherwise) that it actually does have dairy in it. There have been other instances of this type of misleading, when their menu says "lemon" it's actually LEMONADE. And when it says "yogurt" they don't mean plain yogurt, it's actually FROZEN yogurt (aka ICE CREAM)! No wonder their smoothies are so tasty - they're basically milkshakes. Not exactly the healthy drink I thought I was getting. The prices are also insane. They charge almost $10 for a power smoothie with greens. I could understand if they used local organic ingredients- but they don't. The worst part however is the woman who owns this place. For years I have put up with her because I loved the smoothies and I was honestly a little scared of her. Every time I went I would hope she wasn't there. She treats the young people that work there horribly - very patronizing and demeaning. Even the way she can barely get out a smile and fain friendliness when customers come in - it's painful to watch. I'm someone who would go to her business several days a week, yet she has no idea who I am. Luckily, her employees are AMAZING! So nice, friendly, and welcoming. Both the owners should really take a step back and realize customer service is not their strength and let their employees takeover that part of the business. A customer came in line outside for once second and this rude girl at the register asks us to go outside and wait before we can even order. I am very conflicted as I am writing this review. I have been a customer for about ten years now, and I have loved this place for their smoothies and their variety. However, I was never a fan of their customer service. It wasn't terrible, but never the best. I read reviews saying how the owner was incredibly rude and I never saw it until today. I decided to bring my little dog in with me (I picked her up and never allowed her to wander) since it was so hot outside and did not want to leave her in the car waiting. Immediately I was welcomed with a "You can't bring dogs in here unless they are service dogs." The owner told me I could order and wait outside and without arguing I did. While I understand there are "health regulations" they have to meet, there is a difference between politely letting me know I can't have my dog in there and just straight up being rude. She was the latter. She did not let me touch anything and treated me as if I was walking around infected. What strikes me as the most shocking is that this place is supposedly an "advocate" for health and cleanliness. I have NEVER seen anyone wash their hands after handling money, or before beginning a new drink. If the owner is going to act as if I am infected with something simply because I am holding my dog, she should evaluate her business first. The smoothies taste great, which is why I'm giving this place two stars and not one. However I truly question the ethics of their business and whether I want to continue to spend my money at a place that treats their customers how I was treated today. read more

Smoothies are pretty expensive but good imo. My only complaint is about the customer service. I normally go in during the late afternoon to evening hours when there is little to no customers. Most of the staff there look to be in high school so I understand it may be a new work experience, and have stayed pretty patient throughout my times there as I'm a loyal customer. However, the last couple weeks I've come I'm not acknowledged at all and it doesn't even seem like the staff want me to be there. Typically, they see me come in and just continue to walk around the back cleaning; no "hi" or "welcome". After a few awkward minutes, with me being the only customer and order, they finally get around to take my order. When I finish giving them my order they are very unfriendly and unwelcoming. I was in there a few weeks ago. They stick their big straws in a vase full of clear stones. When I took a sip of my smoothie that I was sharing with a 1 year old, a stone was lodged in the straw and I almost choked on it. I went back in twice to tell them and they said they would let their manager Janice know. I went back in again the other day and the straws are still sitting in the stones. I asked for the manager's phone number and she wouldn't give it to me but said she would have her call me. The manager never called me back. I would never have yelped this except I am afraid it's going to happen again and maybe someone will seriously choke on one. Just put the straws in something else!! Update!!!
