Just finished my Daily Dose drink and had to get on yelp to write this review! I recently got a job around this area and I've been getting a juice for the past week ... just wanted to keep it going and see if I do see any changes in my mood/ skin/ energy etc. I've been going to jamba juice ... mainly because I don't know the area too well but I found this little place very close to where I work! I couldn't be HAPPIER!! I was a little sad that they don't offer ..... ginger shots.. (sorry that's my favorite thing at jamba) but they have so many more choices for juices and they juice it right when you order. It's 7:10AM and they had 3 staff members juicing away! The prices were VERY affordable too!!! It's hard to try to be healthy ...when it's so expensive but this place really made me want to wake up a little early and come get a juice to start my day! ... might have to make another stop for the ginger shot..(it's amazing) The staff were very friendly and full of energy in the morning, all smiles and they even offered me a sample of their strawberry peanut butter .... how did they know .... I'm a peanut butter addict.... HAHAA They have books on the side of the wall and one sections read "support local authors" I'm all about community too. I think I might have found THE perfect juice spot for me near work.. I want to first say Juice-C-Juice is a place I've always gone to over the years when I took the my daughter to the dentist in Carson. I love their almond punch smoothies. Today was a little different, I went inside and I always speak when I go inside an establishment. Today I encountered a employee making juice when I spoke it seem it took so much effort for her to speak back. I stood there for a minute no one ever asked "could I help you?" Or anything. There was another young lady in the back, she never said anything so I just left. This was very disappointing, I always try to support small business. I'm not sure if the management has changed. In addition to smoothies and juices, this place has books and misc products for purchase. By miscellaneous, I mean black shampoo, body wash, kale chips, organic cookies, African American dolls for little girls (or little boys!). I ordered the Spinsation smoothie which was okay although it wasn't blended so well- even though they used VitaMix blenders. Also, I ordered a medium and received a small. When I told them that I ordered a medium- she rolled her eyes at me and said she thought I wanted a small then took forever to make it. When it was completed, the other girl placed my cup on the counter. The cup was covered with half my smoothie on the outside. I cleaned it up while they just stood there and watched. I ordered the 3 day cleanse from the website. the website doesnt really give clear directions for the cleanse and they only give you the option to pick it up same day. apparently it's a 1-2 day process. i tried calling multiple times but their phone does not work. I drove 45 mins to the store and they told me my order was not gonna be ready until the next day. I was upset but the staff was nice and understood my problem. I ended up getting a free drink for my efforts and the drink was great. Please fix the phone, all of this would've been avoided, thanks! read more

Until I decide to come back here and have a better experience, I'm going to have to give this place 1 star. Now, let me explain myself. First of all, the interior is cute. There are books all around, so you can chill and read or whatnot after you purchase your drinks (or before too, I guess). HOWEVER, the reason for the lone star is because I had such a horrific experience with my Daily Dose. The woman who prepared my drink was very sweet, and said that she'd only put in a little bit of garlic and ginger because they are strong. I trusted her and got my drink. I took it to my car and had a sip, and almost died. I was drinking and driving (freal) and dying all at the same time. I was literally screaming in my car bc of the taste, but kept sipping away, bc I paid money for this!!!--and I knew that it was still healthy for me. Tasted like death too, tho. It seriously tasted like garlic-ginger blend. You could not taste anything else except for garlic and ginger. It was awful. My taste buds died for a while. I drove straight to the nearest 7-11 and bought myself the strongest gum I could find: Dentyne Ice package of 40-pieces. I had to chew multiple, but the taste eventually subsided. The smell of it lingered in my car tho (yeah, it was that strong), and I could smell/taste it when I burped. No buenos. I do love healthy drinks/foods, and I like to support small, local businesses. The Almond Butter Punch smoothie is the best smoothie I've ever had! The staff was nice enough to replace the strawberries with blueberries due to my citrus allergy. The owner is wonderful & the drink & food products are amazing! HOWEVER, the customer service in the mornings is vomit worthy! Every time I come here before work the two women who are working never fail the experience of worst customer service ever. They both ignore "good morning greetings" from everyone who goes into the establishment. And behave as if you're inconveniencing them for ordering anything at all & Lord help you if you change 1 ingredient. It's truly amazing that business continues here. If you let it, it can ruin your morning. Word of caution, get in & get out w/out customer service expectations. I would suggest the employees participate in the same customer service training system that Chick-fil-A & In&Out uses. Can I tell you how excited I was to find this place so close to my house. They offer a great selection of fresh juice that is made to order. My personal favorite is the antibiotic elixir smoothie without the garlic. It is delicious and I always feel great after. If you have a large order please call ahead to order. Every time I go there is always only one girl working and if it gets busy she had to make the orders and ring up. I think it would help to have more than one employee. They do have a great selection of healthy lunch options. I have tried the pasta salad and the chicken salad with bread. They also have a small selection of natural products including deodorant, shampoo, and soaps. You should definitely try them next time you leave the gym across the street. read more
