I can't believe it's taken me this long to write this review! I totally forgot to write this because I was moving so much that day. I had such a wonderful experience visiting in October 2025. I used to live in Queens and was visiting family for a Christening, then headed to Jersey for a funeral, then back to CT. Phew! I was so hungry and had a long drive ahead of me; I saw a few places but something told me to come here. The owner was so incredibly kind and personable! He set me up real quick with a P.B&J + Kale smoothie and some vegan patties: chicken, beef and lentil. They were so delicious. I saved one for hubby then tore one up in the car so there are no pics lol. I should have purchased more (hubby agreed). Places like this are few and far between in CT. Great all natural food, supplements, and mixed nuts. Small place , but very hospitable.

I was very excited to finally come and pay this business a visit I've drove passed them many, many times and I've always said I was going in and finally I went in. There was a sweet lady sitting by the door when I walked in I greeted her proceeded to the back there was two other people In the back to greet me and showed me a menu. Coming in I knew that I wanted a juice I chose the immunity Boost juice (Carrot, orange, lemon ginger and pineapple). The owner whom is very nice told me they just finished making a split pea soup gave me a sample and sold I took that also. This business feels very comforting and I can't wait to come back to try more things. They had fresh baked Pattie's also many different kinds. 10/10 every time I love that there's a vegan option in the neighborhood. And then the food and drinks are amazing on top of that. Anddd it's black owned. My fave drink is the ruby. It's sooooo refreshing. The other smoothies are great as well. You really can't go wrong. All the patties are but my favorite are lentil and pumpkin. I haven't tried a platter yet but my brother says the sausage and peppers platter was soooo good. And my aunt had a meatball wrap and has been raving about it forever. Stumbled on this place. Excellent customer service and great smoothie and juice options along with other health product options for purchase in the retail section . I tried tans loved the Ruby smoothie. Vegan patties are good too! So happy to have this local option. read more

DELICIOUS I'm a vegan and work in the area and had my boyfriend stop by to get my food. I heard from a friend that this place is great! Got a drink, the lentil patty, and he surprised me with some cookies. Everything vegan! A lot of vegan and healthy options. Sometimes it's hard to find healthy options in the area. After fishing my friend asked me to bring them here...their frequent spot. Although not in my part of town I'm always interested in discovering new places especially Black-owned. Turns out this place really is a Gem! It's small but clean. They have numerous specialty items that are hard to find. Their ingredients looked fresh and mostly vegan. The guy assuming the owner talks to everyone like he's your brother or uncle. Love the one on one. My friend ordered a veggie wrap and some kind of drink with peanut butter and sea moss. There was leftover so the owner so graciously gave it to me. Now I like peanut butter but only on a sandwich or in chocolate so was skeptical about the trying it but low and behold it was delicious! I could barely taste the peanut butter. As we're waiting I'm getting curious about their patties. Like what is a patty without meat! So I order one pumpkin and one ackee. Yes ackee (a Jamaican fruit) minus the saltfish (together a Jamaican national dish). In the meantime, I also buy some Black Seed Oil for the immune system and some natural hair pomade. Shame on me for not trying the patties until I got home because they were soo soo good! Wish I had gotten more especially the pumpkin. My daughter who's a vegetarian ate most of it smh. Had the lentil patty and a smoothie, both great! The staff was SO kind! The menu offered wraps, soups, fresh pressed juices, açaí bowls, a vegetarian haven. Will definitely be back to try some more things! They also have a retail section of natural products like charcoal toothpaste, African black soap, natural deodorant, vitamins, and protein. Fun finding a healthy spot like this in my neighborhood that has very few if any. read more

Great Food. BUT the service of this place really needs work. I've had my order messed on more than one occasion, the delivery takes way too long, and the main reason for this Yelp review... they are unprofessional. Yesterday, I went to Juice and Gems during my 1 hour lunch break. When I got there, the store was CLOSED. Myself and other customers stood outside absolutely confused. WHY WOULD THE JUICE AND GEMS BE CLOSED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY? It was only 2:30pm!!! It's not like there was some holiday being observed, it was a regular Wednesday afternoon. There was no explanation or courtesy sign on the window. Nothing! That was truly upsetting because I went out of my way to get there and it was in vain. I even called the number on the top of the store multiple times to see if they would be back soon. No answer. The most frustrating part about this was that they did not consider the customer AT ALL! The LEAST they could do is provide us with a reasonable explanation to why your business is closed during business hours. I was already on the fence about this place because of their lame service but this took the icing on the cake. SMH read more
