Judy's Embroidery did a wonderful job on the custom embroidery on my satin-lined baseball cap. The owners/employees are friendly and helpful and treated my order with the same amount of care and attention as the many bulk orders they received even though I just needed a single item embroidered. The hat looks amazing and like I bought it at a hat shop with embroidery already included. They finished my order within a couple of days (though to be fair I did not pick it up until much later because of a mix-up with my phone number, which was an honest mistake). But even if it had really taken them a long time to complete my order it would have been worth the wait because of how beautifully it turned out. I plan to come back to Judy's in the future for all of my embroidery needs and am proud to support a local business that does such quality work. read more

Fantastic customer service, products and pricing. We came in with a need for our logo on some aprons and other custom embroidery onto some jackets. We ordered aprons through their supplier (surprisingly excellent quality for very low prices) and brought in some additional aprons and chef coats. We had a hard date we needed the items by and Brad was able to promise the date to us, in fact, delivering the items ahead of schedule. He is fair and honest, making sure not to over-promise and under-deliver. The output was exactly what we'd wanted and was shown to us beforehand, putting us at ease that some of our more expensive items would be embroidered properly. I was window shopping down here in Escondido, kind of just poking my head in all these little stores on this strip. For the most part every store out here was great, except for this one. I just asked for a ball park figure to have something embroidered. The guy working went on and on about thread density, type of this type of that and all kinds of sewing jargon I know nothing about. So to simplify things, I asked him how much would it cost to embroider this, I pointed to an example he had on the wall, he started mouthing off with the same jargon again and asking questions like what will it be on, what type of material and how many. I said just like that on the wall. Since I had know idea what I wanted to put it on yet. And then I got the same answer from him a third time, rather than going any further with this insanity I kindly walked out. Everywhere I go for anything I need whether it be a hair stylist, motorcycle shop or anything in between and ask for a ball park figure, I usually will get a low and a high estimate. Something like "We start out at X amount of dollars and depending on what you want it can be as much as Y amount of dollars" Is this really to much to ask? The most ridiculous part about this is that when I looked them up on the internet when I left, I found their pricing. So either he did not know what they charge or he just wanted to make things difficult and over complicated. either way I wont go back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. We asked them to embroider a name on a Firefighter's strike team bag (used for packing 2 weeks of gear). The woman said they do many of these Firefighter bags. She asked and we gave 3 locations on the bag that would be acceptable to put the name. When we picked up the bag, she had embroidered the name on the large pocket flap (just above the zipper), but she embroidered that top flap closed to the interior bag. The result being that you cannot fully pack the large pocket since the top flap was sewn to the body. She didn't see a problem that this large pocket cannot be fully utilized. She said we didn't tell her not to do that. What? They agreed to remove the embroidery, but they left a cut in the bag (which they patched only after we found it). So we asked for our money back since we got nothing we had purchased. She disappears and sends out a guy who said they worked many hours to remove the name. Horrible customer service, we got nothing (but a ripped bag) and he wanted us to pay for him to undo their mistake. Really? He told us never to come back before finally handing over our refund. We called the company that made the bag, their response was "They're idiots!" Do not go here, save yourself the pain. Yelp needs to allow a negative star rating. read more

Overcharged me by $50 above what he said the job would be and also ruined 1 of the 2 lab coats I took in (logo was way too large). In addition, he was offensive; I had my kid with me and my kid was playing around in the store while we waited for service and he rudely said to the person on the phone that parents now-a-days don't know how to discipline their kids. I had high hopes for this shop but ended up being turned away. The guy there was stressed and not helpful or encouraging. I just needed 5 words and a date embroidered on a piece of cloth that I could sew on the back of a tie for the father of the bride, and he kept saying that they couldn't embroider anything smaller than 1/4 inch, which I told him that size was fine. Then when I told him I needed it in 4 days, he told me he couldn't do it until some time in October. He said he had a ton of clients and he just couldn't see how he was going to finish their orders in 4 days so that he could get to my order! So much for the great same-day review posted here. I guess not every one gets the same level of service at this shop! read more

Can't recommend this place enough! Had to get a bridal shower gift personalized and drove 40 minutes from downtown San Diego simply because this was the only place to do custom embroidery I could find. I was greeted with the friendliest welcome and shortly after walking out was called to be informed that they would get it done for me within the hour so I didn't have to drive back and forth. Great business with quality work. We were using another business for our company shirts and were not happy with the quality of shirts. I spoke with Brad and Linda and they were a wealth of knowledge. I asked if their threads faded during washing, like the old business shirts. They took the extra time to embroider a shirt for me, so I could take it home and test their quality out. I even bleached the shirt and the tread colors remained the same. I never knew there was a difference in the types of embroidery thread.
