Newer/younger staff is still helpful, their volunteers were also super kind in helping find items. They have a decent supply of items with regular sales and fair prices for often very new products. Save 30-50% on purchases comparable to places like Home Depot, but obviously they won't have everything at Habitat. They do get new stock of items pretty regularly. They used to do bundle deals, I haven't asked recently so not sure if prices/bundles are still negotiable. LOTS of paint and painting supplies, cleaning/sanitizing, some decor, hardware, rugs, furniture, etc. I've come in the past as a student for some scrap items which they kindly gave to me either discounted for super cheap or in a bundle. They accept donations under certain conditions depending on the item(s), unfortunately no store credit is offered for them. Would recommend coming here before your next project to save on HD prices!

But they recently SPIKED prices so high that it no longer makes sense to buy items secondhand. Come on! $70 for a lamp?? $45 for used kitchen convenience appliances... and it seemed like I couldn't find a small trinket for under $6. Service- The thrift and boutique is a locally owned and women owned small business. Everyone working there were very courteous, friendly and helpful. Value- They carry clothing for women, men and children as well as housewares, hats, accessories, shoes and toys. I got an I love you more than I love my morning coffee Mug for only $1 and cute bow earrings for only $6. The arched mirror with the flowers is so pretty and feminine. Very organized store. I got a reasonable quote from him promptly so I decided to go with it. After settling on the pick-up time, the whole process was hassle free. I'm not even exaggerating they had a paint roller brush tray set that home Depot normally sells for around $18 and it says on the label a $25 value $19.99 at the salvation army I don't care if it is still sealed or not. This is one example but many or most of the prices were outrageous. I figured because it's on a North part of Fresno, but then I went to the SA right off Ventura and 41 today and they have the same pricing structure. A used can opener was $20, brand new at Walmart only $24. The same day I was at the Blackstone salvation army I uturned to do the usual tour of the thrift stores. the first time I'd ever gone to the MCC thrift store. I didn't see much, until I got to the back and their prices are liquidation thrift store prices, fantastic prices! completely the opposite of the salvation army. Then I went to the Goodwill down the street and their prices were the normal Goodwill prices, some good some bad furniture very cheap at the Goodwill at the salvation army furniture was outrageous. I usually check out the closing down there but the prices on the household and other items were sold outrageous I didn't want to waste the time then or even today at the Ventura location.

I have found a great selection of books which were very useful for our homeschool. Of course I have to scour the DVD selection because physical media is all the rage right now! alas, it was mainly outdated or foreign and i walked away with only a few familiar titles. While I was back there i took a look at the electronics and found a brand new crockpot for just $15. i love that you can test out electronics to see if they actually work. i don't usually buy clothes here but this Halloween I was participating in a trunk or treat with a sports theme. At Thrift City I found a Jerry Rice jersey for $10 to wear to go along with our sports theme. the parking lot is normally pretty packed but it is big enough to find a spot without a long wait or needing to park on the street. Thrift City is next to the Burger King and across from the Windfall Donuts so grab you a donut right after you save that money! speaking of saving money, you will always leave here with a coupon! they offer 2 options for coupons after every purchase and they stamp it on the back of your receipt so don't ever throw those away! i happened to make that mistake but luckily when i was in line a lady turned around and offered me one of hers! that was so sweet! i got that down alternative comforter for only $7! a steal!!
