While we do go here once or twice a month, we are not fans. They do have lots of clothes and household items. THEY WILL NOT SELL YOU SOMETHING IF IT DOES NOT HAVE A PRICE TAG NOR CAN YOU GET SOMEONE TO PRICE IT FOR YOU WHILE YOUR THERE!!! THEY WILL TAKE THE ITEM WITH NO TAG TO THE BACK AND TELL YOU TO COME BACK TOMORROW FOR IT!! I used to love goodwill. This goodwill was organized really well and color coded. I think it's because they don't have much so it's an easy load to work with. No sizes for anything, so all the shoes are clumped together, didn't even bother looking through them. I don't like the idea of group pricing. Ex: $4.79 for all home items. Some items are worth that, and some items are worth $1. A tissue box cover for $4.79, I can deal. But 1 coaster for $4.79? No thanks. I'll go get 4 at dollar tree for the same price. Geez. I'll never understand a place that runs off donations price gouging. Might as well buy everything new at this point. Remember when their shirts were like $1? Nope $5! Kidding, right? Why does it take so dang long to drop off donations? Each car takes what feels like forever. It's not the people donating but the process. You give, and they take, and they block you from moving forward. The worker sorts and goes inside, and you don't see them for an eternity. Why can't we drop and go like we used to do? Horrible donation process. I am now the last car after waiting 20 minutes. He stops me, spends time emptying bags, sorting stuff, goes inside for a second time. Gerry was so helpful and caring. My 88 year old dad's battery died when he was dropping off items to donate. Gerry went out of his way to get him tools from the store to help him remove the battery. More importantly, he treated him with compassion and patience. These things happen but when you are 88, and things in life are slowing down for you, an event like this is a big deal. Gerry put my Dad at ease, brushed it off and made him not feel so bad for holding up the line. We need more Gerry's in the world! The guys that take the donations from the car are very nice. But the line is soooo slow and long.

Overheard an employee talking about sales goals. And how their tactic to achieve their sales goal was to increase their prices... I get to the register to find out that they won't sell me an item because it was missing the price tag... I asked, "can you have someone price it for me I don't mind waiting" the answer was "no, I would have to take it to the back and i don't know what they're doing so I can't sell it until they price it." I decided not to buy anything in my cart because of how frustrating this was. You lost my $35. So let me get this right. You can't reach your sales goals because XYZ. But you will deny a your customers a sale because the tag is missing. All of your clothes are priced by categories. it's not like they all get their own special price, so I'm having a hard time understanding why they couldn't just make the moment right and secure the sale.... good luck with your sales goal read more

Absolutely ridiculous a quarter of the way into 2023 and this business still does not have dressing rooms open like a majority of other clothing stores. The sign on the door says closed due to covid. Staff states that they have no idea when the restriction will be lifted They do not allow returns on any clothing item that may not fit and you're not able to try it on before purchasing I do not recommend this store. read more

The employees are incredibly unprofessional and make it seem as if customers are an inconvenience to them. The cashier did not speak to me at the register, and acted as if it was my fault the barcode was difficult to scan because I picked out a "difficult shirt." One of the shirts did not have a tag on it and he threw it on the floor and didn't think to mention to me that if there's no tag, you cannot make the purchase. I found out after purchasing that he did not include it. There is no visual around the store indicating this, and is incredibly disappointing after spending time in there to know that your search was pointless. After displaying slight disappointment in this, I chose to shrug it off and walk away. I did not say anything or act animated towards the employees, yet they thought it was funny enough of a situation to audibly laugh and make comments about how stupid I looked? I work in the service industry and would NEVER disrespect employees in any way. I don't even like to leave negative reviews of places; however the attitudes of the people at this store were so poor and straight mean that I couldn't not say anything. It isn't the fault of the customers that the employees were incapable of placing tags on so many items of clothing, not to mention the inconsistent pricing of said products. Good quality workout tops will be $10 in one section, and $5 in the other. All in all, I like what Goodwill stands for; however this location contains the rudest, snarkiest employees of any establishment I've been to. read more

I do enjoy looking around and I see items that I enjoy buying because it helps others find a good job and helps them take part of the community. It really sucks to fall in love with an item and not be able to purchase it and take it home because it's missing a tag. Especially after searching through thousands of clothes for an hour. All of the shirts are the same price. But they said there's no way they could sell it to me without the tag and took it away from me. Even though every shirt cost 5.29. I was driving through Clovis and I stopped to take a look at this Goodwill and I was absolutely stunned. Compared to my Goodwills in Sacramento this place was absolutely stunning. I love how each category is priced not individual items. They also had the biggest selection of clothing I had ever seen in a Goodwill in my life. I scored huge with a Burton snowboard jacket, a Lululemon quarter zip, and three nike quarter zips. Everything is very reasonably priced here. The mugs here are $1.25, in Sacramento they are $4.99. Anybody who wants to complain about prices, don't because it is a lot worse all over California especially in Sacramento. They price gauge very hard in Sac and I bet I would have walked away spending $100 instead of $40 for the same amount and quality of stuff. The only thing I will say is that the guy at the register was literally falling asleep on the register but it's fine. Overall this place is a gold mine and reasonably priced 10/10 would recommend. read more

They could do a little better on their prizes do to a the stuff they sale at least most of it is stuff we donate they should have equal prizing that way sometimes you score with something good but they rather let it go to waste.. an they need to have public restrooms most of people that shop at all goodwills bring children. Okay, so I'm probably an a-hole for Yelping about a Goodwill store. I get that. They train people to become self sufficient and they emphasize helping people with disabilities. This is not my beef. My beef is that I go in here to buy something and they have overpriced nearly everything to the point where I could go buy it NEW at Target for LESS. I was in here two days ago and I saw a piece of dorm furniture with the tag still on it from Target and it was marked $61. If I bought it at Target, it would have been $20 tops. PLEASE tell me the people pricing this stuff are the disabled ones, 'cause otherwise, these folk are tripping. My other gripe is the asinine logic that they have here. My mom and I went shopping here and she found a zip up bag that would have been good for something she wanted to store. It said $10 on it and I went to question someone about it. It took two women to decide that the bag was actually the carrier for a kid's sleeping bag. They said that the didn't know where the sleeping bag was, or if it had ever been with it, but they couldn't sell us the bag unless we wanted to pay $10 for it. They have fitting rooms - 5 items at once. If you search, you can find some nice clothes, but beware. The catch here is that their signs say stuff like, "T-shirts $2.50" and then below that, in small print "Or priced as marked". OF COURSE everything you want to buy is marked up to $5. So what looks like a great deal is about a buck short of new Target clearance clothes. Eh, I'll go here once in awhile if my mom is in town (she's a thrift store junkie) or if I'm looking for something specific, but I always head over to the Family Thrift store across the street by OSH first. read more

Since when did THRIFT STORES find it acceptable to list book prices according to the original price on the back? I have never been to another thrift store that does that. It's ridiculous. One time I found this old raggedy 200 paged book about how to love your cat unconditionally or something like that and the backprice( from the original publishing date which was like, 1978) said $40 so the book that has been lingering around goodwill for god knows how long was over $8. I was horrified upon this discovery and walked out of the door cat bookless which didn't sit well with me. COME ON, IT'S A USED BOOK! This Goodwill has been very useful to myself and my family. Every time I have a special event to attend, I stop here first for dress shopping. $3 later, I have my dream dress. Most of my kid's play clothes come from here too. Usually $20 gets both of them a mini wardrobe. I'll be coming back. The only annoyance I have there is that the A/C doesn't seem to work well. I'm an avid thrifter, however this Goodwill left me disappointed. Their prices are a let down, especially for a thrift shop. Their selection also isn't anything to get excited about. Ended up leaving an hour later with only a tank top. However, they do have a good costume stock during Halloween. read more

Large selection, good finds if you are willing to spend some time to really search. Items are sorted by color which is a bit weird, sometimes hard to find the size you need. There are some stained and ripped clothes for the same price as pieces in decent shape so make sure you look your picks over well! I recommend shopping in the morning hours in the summer, their AC doesn't seem to work well, it gets pretty hot inside! Prices are ok, better than the good will stores I've visited on the central coast, but could be lower on certain items. read more

My only complaint and thats with most of the thrift stores now - is no restrooms! I'm sorry, but if I'm in your establishment, there to potentially spend $ do not lock me out of the bathroom. We're not robots and we're not animals. Went to try on clothes in the "handicap" fitting room - OMG! It looked and smelled like someone had done some big business in there. I guess that was someones way of making a statement about locking the bathrooms to the customers? Really gross and really sad. Needless to say I tried no clothes on that day!! I have to give Goodwill a PLUS on the way they hang their jeans - clipping them along the side of the top hip and having the waistband pointing into the aisle. I have shopped many thrift stores for books, crafting materials and odds and ends. Most are more than reasonable. But not Goodwill. I saw many items that were nearly retail for something clearly used. For example there was an old CD player radio, with the top taped shut for &20. I have never paid more than a dollar for paperback novels but today was charged $5 each. I guess I won't be coming back. read more

I will never donate to this store again! I told the young man that was helping me that I had a whole box of hot wheel track, pieces, buildings, etc that are really expensive in a box and should stay together. He took the whole box and dumped it into a bin of random crap. When I expressed my dismay, he informed me that they do that to save space. I asked who had to go through that stuff to get it ready to sell. He told me that really no one does that but maybe it would be him. Then he takes a box of other knick-knack stuff and dumped it into another huge box. I could hear glass breaking and pieces were everywhere. All that broken stuff would be useless to anyone. Then I had a table to donate. He said that they couldn't take it because it had some scratches!!!! Are you kidding me????? They just broke a ton of stuff, rendered toys useless and wouldn't take a table because it had a couple scratches??? I need to go somewhere else where they are actually glad that people donate items.
