I like the way they have things set up, you can spend some time just looking at everything. I do notice things don't move too quickly, bigger items that cost more. I don't think this qualifies as an antique store but most of the items are vintage. There is a big room in the back with lots of games and gaming items - I've never gone back there to know if it's any good. I also love that this store hosts night and weekend markets where they invite other vendors to sell their items. I have found some great vendors this way.

This one is unique because it has a mini vintage toy store within it. TONS of Legos, video games, Nintendo's, GI Joes you name it. They also have a lot of vintage comics! A collectors dream with out a doubt. You can also trade or sell your old vintage toys (I posted a photo with more info). A nice touch worth noting is they offer free donuts and beverages like coffee, tea and water to enjoy while perusing through the store. I have found a great selection of books which were very useful for our homeschool. Of course I have to scour the DVD selection because physical media is all the rage right now! alas, it was mainly outdated or foreign and i walked away with only a few familiar titles. While I was back there i took a look at the electronics and found a brand new crockpot for just $15. i love that you can test out electronics to see if they actually work. i don't usually buy clothes here but this Halloween I was participating in a trunk or treat with a sports theme. At Thrift City I found a Jerry Rice jersey for $10 to wear to go along with our sports theme. the parking lot is normally pretty packed but it is big enough to find a spot without a long wait or needing to park on the street. Thrift City is next to the Burger King and across from the Windfall Donuts so grab you a donut right after you save that money! speaking of saving money, you will always leave here with a coupon! they offer 2 options for coupons after every purchase and they stamp it on the back of your receipt so don't ever throw those away! i happened to make that mistake but luckily when i was in line a lady turned around and offered me one of hers! that was so sweet! i got that down alternative comforter for only $7! a steal!!

Typically men's clothing is shoved in a dark corner but not here. I love the variety of brands and styles and the great deals. Theydon't accept anything with excessive wear and everything is currently in fashion or classic staple pieces. Pricing is higher than typical thrift stores but that's because consignment is completely different! Everything is still a bargain when you look at the retail price.

But they recently SPIKED prices so high that it no longer makes sense to buy items secondhand. What a shame because I prefer purchasing secondhand and knowing that it's avoiding over consumption and helping a good cause at the same time. But when a used PLUSHIE in a bin of other used plushies are being sold for $30??! Come on! $70 for a lamp?? $45 for used kitchen convenience appliances... and it seemed like I couldn't find a small trinket for under $6. Also, they used to offer the veteran's discount to spouses as well, no longer. These are donated items people. What a shame.
