The portion sizes are huge as well. The service is great. You can sit wherever you want, and pay by scanning the QR code at your table - simple and you can avoid people if you want! My friend is celiac, so she frequents this place because everything on their menu is gluten-friendly. My second time here I tried the beet juice which was delicious and very refreshing! The Good : Vegan options so fabulous. Loved my salad with the option for breaded tofu on top- for an extra 3 euros. This reminded me of having a replacement for roasted goat cheese. They had plenty of options for non-vegans. The Bad: I spent over 13 minutes trying to get someone's attention. Nobody came to check on me before the kitchen closed. I wanted to order more of the tofu but because I finally had to go into the restaurant 8 minutes after 4 PM they said sorry we cannot do it I know but seriously this is a neighborhood place. My sister was hungry (again) during our recent visit to Paris so we stopped by Judy on a Thursday for a late lunch. Love the chic, bright ambiance! And the fact that they offer healthy, fresh vegetarian options with some vegan choices as well. It would be nice if there were a few more plant-based menu items but I can't complain too much. For food I went with the Buddha Bowl sans egg. The bowl was a decent size portion, and contained mixed greens, grains, cucumber, "kimchi," soft grain crouton/crackers, bell pepper, seeds, cilantro, and a green hummusy sauce/dip of sorts. I loved the grains and fresh veggies plus herbs. There was a bit too much of the green concoction though, which made the bowl soggy, especially the greens. It could have been seasoned a little better, but overall I was happy to consume something healthy for lunch. My sister seemed to enjoy her noodles with veggies and crispy tofu. I wish I got a bite! I did get to try a spoonful of her coconut chia pudding topped with a fruit compote, which was pretty good. Not too sweet, the way I like it! The bathroom area upstairs is spacious, especially for Paris, and very nice. The hostesses/waitresses were pleasant. The prices are what you'd expect... Paris is not cheap! Cute little shop that offers healthy / vegan / vegetarian options. I feel like I need to start with the service, because that was probably some of the best service I had ever experienced, not just in Paris, but in France / Europe in general. I enjoyed the fresh pressed juice and the açaí bowl. The juice was mixed just right with all the ingredients and the açaí bowl was filling enough, I didn't leave wanting more. Loved the savory breakfast with scrambled eggs, salad, and a slice of gluten-free seed bread. Also enjoyed a green juice as well as the banana bread. Slight misunderstanding about our order of banana bread French toast, and they delivered banana bread although we'd ordered banana bread French toast. No matter, we ate the banana bread anyway, and then also ordered the French toast a second time. That took 3 orders until we finally got it and then it turns out it wasn't really French toast at all but a warmed-up banana bread with some toppings! Funny and still tasted good but beware it's not actually French toast. Again, the restaurant is lovingly designed and well-put together with many nice touches and the food was delicious. Good quality ingredients, I'm sure, but highly overpriced, and being American, having seen these food fads begin, I know that I can find these ingredients & make all of these things for so much less. The açai bowl is a bit too acidic, and the green power smoothie a bit too spinach-y. It was still good, mainly because the buckwheat granola was very redeeming. I am an American who travels to Paris for work often (and I speak French fluently). I love everything about this place -- the food, the décor, the staff, the coffee, and the juices. Since I'm a vegetarian, there is always plenty on the menu that meets my needs. And I love that I can order different types of milks in coffee too -- something that used to be a rarity in Paris. Sure, Paris is a haven for amazing and quirky restaurants, but if you feel a little homesick for a good quality American brunch, this is your place! Went here for a vegetarian- and gluten-free-friendly breakfast with friends. The gluten-free labeling on the menu was very confusing to me as it implied only two breakfast/all-day items were gluten-free. when asking my server about that, she snapped and said she "only has to press a button." ??? I understand there can sometimes be a language barrier, but that was not helpful at all. We were told that the large avocado toast (17 euro as opposed to the small order at 10 euro) has the same amount of poached eggs (1) but two extra pieces of toast. Not a great deal, but I was super hungry and went ahead and ordered it. When it came out, I discovered that the large contained only three pieces of toast... so I paid seven extra euro for one piece of toast only. Guys, it doesn't make any sense to charge that much, and it makes me feel like the restaurant is praying on the unsuspecting. 2 stars because the food was good and the decor was neat. read more
