Arriving in the area for a holiday we needed somewhere to eat on our first night. Checking on-line The Jubilee came up as a good bet as, I misread, didn't need to be booked. We arrived at the Inn and were impressed as we love the traditional pub. At the desk we were asked if we had booked as booking was needed. This I remembered on our next visit a few days later. However the front of the house manager, the Landlady I assume, juggled her bookings to find us a table. Lovely cheerful, friendly lady. The menu was a traditional pub grub menu, perfect. Choosing their fish and chips was the best choice I have made. Light batter, white fish and chunky chips. Our next visit was easier, as I have said, we booked. One nice touch is that my name was remembered from our original visit. Small thing but it makes you feel a little special. Service was brilliant, food was delicious. I must mention our server on our second visit, such a friendly young lady who gave that extra touch to our evening. Her name Scarlett (that's two T's LOL), I did remember. read more
