Save yourself some time, and DO NOT go here…read more I can go on and on about the con's about the place, most of the staff and Dr. Martinez, but here is just a quick version: I wasted about 3 weeks trying to get some tests done. I must've spoke to everyone in that office to try and get some help and everyone was bascially useless. Here's how it went: 1. My first appointment was cancelled 30 minutes before the scheduled time, due to their computers not working. 2. I had a test scheduled at 8 AM in Hialeah (mind you, the office is in Coral Gables). They didn't take me in until 9 AM. After the test, I was still waiting at 10 AM to speak with the doctor regarding the results before I got up and left. The nurse who I spoke with prior to leaving advised that the doctor will be in contact with me to speak later. I spoke with 3 different employees prior to scheduling this to confirm that I would be completely done in 1 hour. They all confirmed I would be done and out by 9 AM. Right... I tried for days, which turned into 2 weeks, to get a hold of the doctor, leaving messages with the people who answered the phone, had the employees page him...and nothing. No call back, no response, no nothing. It continues... 3. I had an 8:30 AM test, which required me to drink a can of coca-cola 3 hours before. That's right - 5:30 AM. Ok, no problem. Guess what happened next? They called me at 8 AM to cancel my appointment. You may be wondering why....well, their absolutely useless Office Manager, LILLY, was waiting for a piece to fix the machine they needed for the test. Their vendor promised to have the piece to them by 7 AM so their machine would work. Now, most people with a brain would call those individuals who have a 1% chance of being affected by this (jussssst in case something goes wrong and the machine, in fact, does not work). I mean, it's common sense. If I knew there were a .5% chance that the machine wasn't going to work, I would've rescheduled in a heartbeat. The office manager still doesn't understand and continues to claim that it was the vendor's fault, taking no responsibility in the matter. 4. I had a follow-up appointment 3 weeks after my original test. When I arrived, they advised that the wait time would be at least 45 minutes. After explaining to the lady at the front of my current situation, and that I would not be waiting 45 minutes just to hear results which will take 1 minute, I politely asked that I be given a copy of my results. I received a roll of the eyes and the plastic sliding door slammed in front of me. Fifteen minutes go by and nothing. Finally, I heard the front desk girl (who I later found out to be the office manager, LILLY - it now finally all made sense) explain the situation to the doctor through the wall, his response was (rudely) "Let her leave and give her the paper!". Wow, nice customer service. So, finally, 30 minutes later, the door opened and an arm stuck through the window with the envelope. Now, onto continuing what I originally started...but with a place that actually cares about their patients, ensures they actually are receiving the best quality (and not just puts that in writing) and makes sure the patient understands their results (and not just hands them a piece of paper expecting for them to figure it out). Definitely not what I would call a welcoming place ...or somewhere I would EVER recommend someone to go to.
