Illia is hands down my go to handyman…read more And I don't say that lightly because I gave him a really big project that took over a week to complete. He literally does it all (replacing toilets, replacing floors, treating the concrete, finding problem areas (mold) and replacing it, identify issues (wrong breakers placed in the house), painting rooms, replacing doors.. you name it and he can do it. What I appreciated the most about him is that he has strong communication, great work ethic and will get the job done no matter how long it takes. We had an issue or two with our ceiling fan after the project was done and he immediately came out to take a look - both at the fan and at the how it was wired (turns out it was the fan). He's definitely reliable and would take care of the job until the client is satisfied. His pricing is also very reasonable. I've only known him for three weeks and has already given him three projects. I'd definitely rely on Illia again in the future.

After getting quotes from four different contractors, we decided to go with Davis Home Services…read more There were several things that impressed me with Rob from the very start: he gave an excellent quote (and stayed within budget), he was always available via call or text and responded immediately, his work was similarly prompt, starting on the project within two days of my reaching out, he strikes me as a genuine, real person -- at no time did I feel like I was talking with just a contractor looking for cash; he was helpful and answered tons of questions, even ones unrelated to his project, and he did plenty of extra work to come up with quotes for various projects I was considering and was never annoyed if I didn't go with one. This was all just from the initial visit and follow-up messages. I hired his team to paint the interior of my house, replace three interior doors (one needing new framing), install one exterior door and frame, and handle a window project that needed sanding, scraping, sealing, and painting. Everything went extremely fast and the quality was excellent (even though I told him I wasn't looking for perfection). They said it would be no extra charge to move all the stuff around to complete the job -- and if you'd seen the disaster the kids' rooms were in, that was no small favor. His painter was kind, patient, and respectful, always asking permission to enter the master bedroom and doing various touch-ups free of charge. The entire job was completed in just three days. They kept the house looking clean even though they had to work in a messy space, and Rob had no problem with me putting sticky notes everywhere I wanted touch-ups done. What stood out to me most was Rob's transparency, the fairness of his pricing, and how genuine everyone on his team was. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the results or the experience. Rob and his team went above and beyond in every way -- honest, responsive, and fast without cutting corners. I already intend to hire him to sand and re-stain my floors and will definitely be recommending him to others.

Our entire process with Jasper just added to that realization of our dream come true. Jasper's team designed the home that had been in our minds for decades. And still to this day, we are so thankful we found Jasper! We still cannot believe we made it here, on Lake Norman in this beautiful modern farm home. Many folks roll their eyes when they discuss the building process...but not us. We tell the WORLD about how accomodating and professional Jasper was, how the experience is so memorable and how kind, caring and compassionate the team was around ensuring we had the ultimate experience for our last home to be built so that we could make memories for the rest of our life. We contracted with Jasper Builders to convert garage and second floor attic into an office and home…read moretheater. Working with Sean Gallagher, Jasper builders was the worst experience I've had as a homeowner. Sean Gallagher was incompetent, inconsiderate and insulting to the point he brought my wife to tears on more than one occasion and put us through months of mind numbing stress. Almost two years later he has never returned a phone call to finish the punchlist. SEE THE PICTURES. Here's a summary of the problems: 1. The walls were misplaced and ceiling done incorrectly and had to be redone. 2. Jasper forgot to put insulation in the floor. Sean assured me it was installed. I had to drill holes from the ceiling below to prove the error. The insulation company had to come back and blow in insulation from below. The holes in the ceiling were 3. Jasper did not provide access to the new crawl space. Sean assured me it was there. I had to crawl under the house to prove it wasn't. The access door he put in the garage failed inspection twice. What I ended up with was very poor. 4.The plumbers mixed the hot and cold lines resulting in a 120 degree toilet which had to be repaired. 5.The painters switched the wall and ceiling colors and sheens. 6.The painters did not color match the exterior paint. They painted a tan color instead of the existing grey. The colors were very different but no one had the sense to stop and match the colors. I had to go to the Sherwin Williams and match the paint. 7.It took Jasper Builders 3 attempts to build a three step stairway to code. The first attempt was so bad my wife and later my son fell off the steps. 8.The HVAC sub did not design the system correctly. The upstairs room was at least 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. Sean refused to amdmit anything was wrong and made at least 5 trips with a thermometer to disprove my claims instead of just fixing the problem. I paid for two independent hvac expert opinions which found multiple problems. Jasper still refused to admit a problem. I had to submit a complaint to the state examiners who found in my favor. The HVAC company was forced to correct all the problems and ended up in probation. 9. Jasper consistantly invoiced before the phases were complete and inspected and problems resolved. 10.My final punch list included items of extremely poor quality (see pictures). Jasper has refused to correct the problem. 11. We refused to pay the balance until the punch list was done. Sean, not only refused to address the punch list, but he put a lien on our house. Its been two years and Sean still refuses to return a phone call.
