Sent my cousin here so she could get hair done for her prom next week. Good side: Good vibe. Everyone was friendly. 2 stars were for these reasons. Now onto the bad side. 1. The stylist didn't discuss the price with my cousin prior to service. She only knew I would be charged with "this much" after everything was done. Overall, very bad communication for the business. I couldn't blame this only on the stylist because my cousin didn't question, either. However, I felt it'd be more appreciate if my cousin was acknowledged with the cost for her hair. And if you are curious to know, yes, they overchaged for it. 2. She wanted an ombre dye (I think it was called balayage - forgive me for my hair knowleged, lol). Even showed the stylist an inspo pic for the style she desired. The work was awful, and I believed the stylist already knew it was in the process of completing the work, yet had the courage to let my cousin know "her hair was a mess". Her hair didn't show the ombre style, more like the stylist dumping a whole bucket of blonde hair color on her. My cousin went back to me crying because that wasn't what she wanted but it was too late to have it fixed, as she had somewhere to go after. I followed Stephanie to JT Hair also. She is the only stylist that I trust with my hair these days. She takes time to listen to what I'm looking for and helped me transition from dying my own hair at home to going natural. I have never spent a lot on my hair and was nervous about pricing for highlights to make the transition, but found that it wasn't as pricey as I thought it would be. I was visiting from out of town, and went to Cheryl. She spent maybe 2/3 of my visit helping me to decide what cut I wanted, and also how to stop damaging my hair with styling tools, and how to train my bangs. And I love the cut. This was so worth it! And they are reasonable on prices. I vote YES read more

My stylist Stephanie worked at a competitor and when I finally found that she moved to JT Hair, I immediately called & made an appointment. JT Hair is owned by a stylist who worked at Fantastic Sam's & wanted to open her own place to be able to give the locals personalized service that was lacking at FS. And he has accomplished this 100%. All of JT's employees are friendly & very talented & actually talk to their clients instead of each other. This usually happens at the chain salons way too often. As my hair is tinted & baby fine, I was apprehensive about getting a perm. After consulting with Stephanie, she assured me that it would add body to my limp hair. Yep, did it - got a perm & LOVE IT!! Now, JT Hair & Stephanie are MY favorites & I think that once you try them, you'll make them your faves. read more

I had high hopes for JT Hair. I read reviews and looked on their website, and everyone was raving about how awesome they were and how amazing their stylists were. That may be true for some of them, but my experience there said otherwise. I am particular about my haircut, so I took the time to see the ratings of JT Hair, reviews, and so on. I went there for the first time two days ago, and when I first walked in, I was greeted nicely by the girl behind the desk. They were very welcoming people, but my haircut was not something I was happy about. Aimee was the one who styled my hair, and to say that I was upset is an understatement. I showed her a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like: a face frame, and long, soft layers. I had high hopes for this cut because she seemed like she knew what she was doing, and I didn't think the cut was particularly hard to do. The length she cut it to ended up being okay; my hair feels much healthier now, but the layers!! Oh my goodness, I almost cried. Actually, when I got home..I did. The layers are all botched up, and looks like a 5 year old took scissors to my head. There is a big chunk of shorter hair on the right side, which is extremely visible to see if I keep my hair down. My face frame looks like it got cut straight across. The layers look like I got gum stuck in my hair and I had to cut chunks from my head to get it out. She liked to talk about how she likes the cut to be more blended than straight across, which I totally agree with her on that! Except, there was no blending, and it was not even!! It looks like this was her first time doing layers! She also asked me if I wanted a blowout after she was done with the cut. I said yes. Minutes before she was done, she said she could not give me a blowout because "You need curlers to do that." News flash Aimee, you can also use a round brush and a blow dryer, (which you had there!!) I am extremely disappointed in how my hair turned out. This is why I always keep my boring old one inch trim and a small fix on my face frame. I will not be going here again. read more

Not sure how they say "modest prices" I went in for haircut/partial highlight and blow dry. According to the website the fee should have been $90. Well my bill was $145.00. SO WITH MY $20 tip I walked out paying $165.00. My stylist did put some color at my roots to cover the little grey that I have, didn't tell me it wasn't part of the highlights. But I assumed it would cost me more....but another $50 bucks!! That's more than 1/2 of the 2 services I was already paying for! Modest pricing is not true. I've had these same services done at higher end salons for the same price. Yes I could've gone to them, however I assumed I was going to save some money here. Disappointed read more

SCRATCHED THIS SALON OFF MY LIST! Went round and round to schedule a haircut, finally caught a time that was VERY INCONVENIENT for me but I made the appointment, Stylist never showed. Expect this joint to go under with this type of Service and Attitude. read more
