After visiting New Zealand, I learned that Kiwis are among the warmest, kindest people that I have met on my global travels. Genuinely so willing to share their love of their country and their love of others. From initial phone calls to Air New Zealand to get a wheelchair accommodation for my octogenarian dad to inflight service, it was really a trip home that I will never forget. Thanks especially to Deborah B as well as the rest of the cabin crew who kept our family well taken care of with food, drinks, extra clean bathrooms and more. So sweet, so kind and so professional. Loved the extra leg rest in my seat. So comfy for the long haul. Great to be able to charge my phone and enjoy free WiFi. Definitely would fly Air New Zealand again if given the choice!! I know that some folks will be dismayed at having to check their carryons, but they were adamant that folks in later groups gate checked their luggage. That alleviated the overhead situation greatly in a full plane. Their emergency exit seats have more legroom than most of the other Economy Plus seating - highly recommend. On the way to Boston, we had ordered their breakfast sandwiches and they came to us a third into the flight, hot, tasty and just on time. We got to Cancun on time, superb flight.

Although there has been alot of negative associated with SWA lately because of the elimination of 2 free checked bags and now utilizing assigned seating and the elimination of the a, b, and c boarding groups. As a swa visa cardholder depending on your status, you still retain at the very least 1 free checked bag. I found the new boarding groups less chaotic and crowded which was a relief for me. Annoying is the word I would use to describe people who all at once are trying to put their unchecked bags in the overhead bins. Not so much this flight out of Hou Hobby! Although this flight was sold out everything was very smooth with the boarding procedure. I also found the assigned seating straight forward and not a bunch people trying to find an open seat all at once. The in-flight coffee is wonderful and as I said for before the best in the sky! Thank you Southwest for this! I did the see that they also added cherry coke zero as an option as well as hornitos margaritas. So the most unique and wonderful thing I found was that there is a phone holder now in front of you now to watch your videos at your seat on the newer Max 8 planes! We loved this! And there's nothing you can do about it. It's like hunting for gold flakes in the Old West. If you actually do find a good award flight (2,500 to 5,000 one way), it's likely during days or times that NO ONE wants to fly. Like Thursday to Tuesday. Who the hell is flying Tuesdays to Thursdays? Do these people not have jobs? For example, I contacted customer service about a flight from Jan 31 - Feb 2nd to Ft. Lauderdale. Who is flying to FLL in February???? Turns out - no one. I checked the flight and it was completely empty save for 2-4 seats reserved. This is a scam. Now, that that's out of the way. Every single time I've flown Spirit, my flight has been on time with no delays. Except when they change flight times after years of having the same flight times, that's very disappointing. Also I have been upgraded to better seats or seats further up for free some times. I do also enjoy the fact that after the first couple of groups board, you can use the overhead bin space. If it wasn't for the miles scheme, this would like be a four or four and a half rating. Oh well - I hope no one is suckered into joining the miles program. Decent snack food options nearby or more options over near the Southwest gates. Boarding was organized and well done with separate queues for economy and Sky Priority here too. I have never been on a flight where they have already rebooked you on another connecting flight, assigned seats and have a table set up to exchange the tickets for the flight that you missed with your new tickets printed as you exit the gate. So efficient. The flight itself was good as well. Seats were comfy. Bathrooms were clean. Flight attendants were so sweet. So nice chatting with them as they shared tips about what to do in Asia. I would definitely consider flying with EVA Air again if given the chance...especially if it is on the Hello Kitty plane. So cute!

An agent helped us with our luggage because there is a weight limit of 40 pounds not 50 like other airlines. I was bringing back luggage I had intended to keep in Chicago but things changed. She helped us with tagging and getting us through the process through our phone to avoid the $25 agent fee. When it came time for my friend to get a wheelchair, we waited an hour and were told to get walking because we would miss our flight. My friend is 73 years old with spinal stenosis. We had to rush to get through security which took forever for her since she wasn't in a wheelchair and I have TSA pre check. She told me she was almost in tears because she didn't know where I was. Needless to say we barely made it to the gate on the other side of the airport where everyone had already started to board. As far as flying everything was great and we got in to Houston early. I would give 5 stars but because of the wheelchair fiasco I won't.

What stood out most was his professionalism and kindness. He remained calm, friendly, and respectful throughout the entire interaction. He did not rush the process and made sure my parents understood everything before moving on. That level of care and attention made a big difference for our family. My only 2 complaints are the whole bag weight/fee and when I got on the plane there were two different attendants giving me conflicting information! The whole max 25kg thing (55 LBS) when you are on a military orientated flight was kind of frustrating. Just an FYI it's $50 if you go over. Also, they won't even let you bring the bag on if it is more than 32kg (70 LBS). Your carry on bag must weigh less than 7 KG (15 LBS). They won't let you on the plane if it is more! The flight was long but there are plenty of movies and I didn't buy it but there was wifi I believe. All in all, if you fly Emirates.... Especially first class it is definitely worth it. Make sure you check in early the line gets really long!
