They showed up when they said, which was early in the evening, which made it conveinent for someone to be home when they came. He met my wife, checked the tree situation, wrote a simple estimate and said "let me know what you want to do" and left. I decided to try them, as the other tree guys were inconsistent with their follow up, etc. I was home when they got there to do the work, and all I can say is I was impressed. This was not a real big job, but it was important to me that they did it right. They showed up in 2 trucks and a crew of 4 guys, each with a different role and they knew how and what to do. They were done in about 30 minutes, and cleaned up the area nicely after they were done. They were friendly and knowledgable and the price was reasonable. He showed up for one day of work, during which his machine broke down, and he completed only about 25% of the removal job(have not started on stump grinding yet). He then pressured my elderly parents, who are both in their eighties and suffer from Alzheimer's, into paying him $2,000. They are not in a condition to handle high-pressure situations, and I was not present at the time. Given that $2,000 significantly exceeded the value of the work completed, the contractor happily chose not to return and instead began making a series of excuses. At one point, he offered to refund $1,000, but when I tried to collect the refund, he changed his story again saying he will come back to finish but stopped responding to me. It appears he does not keep his words, lie consistently, and is willing to take advantage of vulnerable people whenever the opportunity arises.
